Star-Crossed lovers

Star-crossed lovers from distant shores,

begging, pleading, screaming for more,

wanting, searching, hoping to find,

the song of the dreamers, the dreamers divine.

That is the only way it seems,

that they will be happy, in their dreams.

For the lives they lead are filled with rain,

flowing with rain, symbolic of pain.

But they will trudge on through the mud and the sweat,

buried in mounds, mound of regret.

Regret that they did not take their ship when it came in,

regret that they did not grab the rope and get in.

For to sail to the far-distant shore,

where their star-crossed lover waits, hoping for more.
