Sorrow became at still as a statue once the King got up from his throne and started to walk around her. His eyes were piercing. "Yes, I know you." The King spoke.

"You do?" She asked.

The King kept walking in a circle, "I also know your brother. He's quiet the charmer, although he could never stand a chance with my daughter. After all, he's not even of royal blood."

Sorrow gulped, "what do you mean by charmer?"

The King stopped in front of her and bent down to her height, "you don't know he's in love?"

She stood frozen. "my brother cant be in love, he loves me."

Taking a step away from her the King stared straight at her, his eyes never leaving hers. "I don't think anyone will miss you."

Sorrow slowly backed away from him, "what is that supposed to mean?" Her voice becoming more silent.

"Do you know what you are?" He asked.

Sorrow didn't reply. What was wrong with this king? Maybe he was drunk?

He sighed, "you my dear are a witch." The King unsheathed a gleaming iron sword from his belt, he held it up. "And that means I must kill you." He swung at her.

Sorrow jumped to the side, leaving the sword to bounce harmlessly off the floor. She ran toward the exit. The King followed, "There's no were for you to go my dear." Sorrow pulled on the door handle, it was being held shut from the outside, she cursed in the ancient language.

"Now, now just calm down and except your fate." The King warned.

Sorrow ran toward the throne were a sword was being held by knights armor, she used all her strength to pull it free. She felt like King Arthur from the stories she was told by the village chief. She spun around holding the sword outstretched. The King hadn't expected that and was hit in the eye, it would leave a scar.

Sorrow wished that  brave knight was still with her, how she longed to be normal. The King swung at her in anger, he hit her side and she fell to the ground. The King knocked the sword from her hand and stepped on her wrist. "Witches don't deserve to live." He raised his sword and using full force brought it down.

Sorrow squirmed to the right and the sword missed her head. "Please! let me go." She cried. Nothing would work, her pleadings were useless.

At the worse moment ever the hushed voice decided to return, I see your in trouble..." He laughed.

"Go away!" Sorrow screamed, the voice in her head was hurting her, it never did that before.

The hushed voice continued, "all you have to do is ask for help."

"I don't need Your help!" She whined.

A door slammed open and Sorrow saw in the corner of her eye, Henry. He was usually happy and smiling, but this time he looked angry. His fist were clenched and his voice demanding. "Get away from her!"

The princess stood behind him, worry lining her face. "Father, please let her go." She pleaded.

"She is a witch," he pulled a amulet out of his pocket. "This told me so." The King announced.

"I'm going to settle this once and for all." Henry started forward.

The King also walked toward her brother, his sword red with the blood of Sorrow.

Their fight was unreal, they fought like wild animals wanting food. Sword would hit sword, sometimes flesh. Neither of them shouted out in pain. The princess was busy protesting and looking for any knights around. None were in sight. The King hit Henrys leg and he fell to the ground.

Henry was breathing hard while the King walked toward him, "I would have let you live, but for this outbreak you must die with the witch." The King slowly brought his sword across Henrys arm. He gritted his teeth and everything went dark for Sorrow.

Something was happening to her, I was changing. I stretched out my arms and saw sleek black feathers grow. Was I dreaming? My black dress started to morph into long feathers as well. I touched my face because a beak was growing. I tried to scream for help but only a  squawk was heard. Then the pain came, I doubled over in pain as I started to shrink.

I shrank and shrank forever, when it was finally over I was as small as a bird. My heartbeat was different and so was my sight. Everything seemed more...Clear.

Sorrow hardly noticed the faces that were staring at her, she was too busy trying to figure out what she had just turned into. Sorrow didn't even notice when Henrys eyes turned a different color, they had now changed back. "Sorrow?" Henry wondered out loud.
