I woke up one day to Aunt Vivian shaking me awake. "Hurry up and pack all of your things Amelia right this instant." I nodded and began throwing everything I owned into my suitcase and attempted to descend the stairs with this heavy load. "Mia, honey remember I told you to ask for help when you need it. Here go downstairs i've got it." I looked up to see my brother Willy he was eighteen at the time and eight whole years older than me. He was tall approximately 6 ft 2 and looked exactly like me but a male version. I frowned he never called me honey unless there was something wrong. I just shrugged it off Willy taught me never to be nosy and went downstairs.

Aunt Vivan looked so excited, I wonder if we are going on a trip or something. Oh how exciting would that be! She smiled widely at me and ushered me out the door and shoved my boots and coat at me. "Off you go now both of you get out." Willy stood beside me now and grimaced. "Thank you for everything. We appreciate the hospit---" She slammed the door shut before Willy could finish. "Hey ! Willy why did she do that. Whats going on?" I started to tear up I didn't understand what was going on. Willy looked at me sadly and picked me up and carried our bags and dragged out suitcases. "We are going on an adventure just you and me. How does that sound Mia?" He asked. "But what about Aunt Vivian? I know I don't really like her but you said never to exclude people remember? You taught me that!" I cried. He hushed me and cuddled me into his side, "I know honey but this adventure is just us, we won't be seeing her anymore. Let's get into the car it's starting to get cold."

We packed everything into the car and sat in silence. Willy looked worried, I didn't want to tell him I was hungry, but my stomach was starting to growl. I started to cry again. "Oh baby are you hungry? Let's go to your favorite diner okay? Come on stop crying i'm here." He cooed at me. I sniffled and nodded but refused to get out of his lap and he drove all the way to the diner with me cuddled into him. I am ten years old but i'm small so I fit perfectly. We came to a stop, and Willy climbed out of the car with me still latched onto him. "I want a vanilla milkshake please." I requested. He laughed and said "Amelia its only ten o'clock in the morning you can't have it right now. But you were being a really brave girl today, if you promise to keep being brave for the rest of the day then I promise you can have it." I smiled and nodded eagerly ready to have that deliciousness.

We were seated and Willy ordered for the both of us. He pulled out a book it was a map of Canada, I remember seeing that in class before winter break happened. Miss Angela was telling us about how we live in Quebec and all about the capital cities and how one day she hopes we all go there. "What are you looking at that map for?" I questioned him while munching on my breakfast. "If you could live anywhere in the world where would you want to live?" He answered. I thought about it for a minute and thought to myself, "I don't really care, as long as we are together." Willy smiled and gave me a big sloppy wet kisses on my forehead. "EW GROSS COOTIES STOP!" He laughed and told me cooties weren't real. Clearly he hasn't seen the boys in my class.

We finished eating, and I was slurping on my yummy milkshake now. Yum. "I say let's go somewhere sunny, how do you feel about going back to California?" I just shrugged and said "I like the sun, that means there's beaches right? Can we get a dog then?" He grimaced "If we can afford one yes we can get you one I promise."

We stayed in different motels the whole way to California, and Willy cooked dinner every night for us. It was like a road trip it was so cool. But he began to start looking worried each time we went to the bank. The bank is where they keep money, we need money to pay for things. "Are we running out of money?" I questioned him. Willy stood frozen for a moment and smiled kindly and bent down to my height. "Mia don't worry about money we are just one more day away from where we need to be and then we can get a home and i'll get a job okay? Don't worry about such silly things leave it to me." He explained. I didn't understand what about school? "William you're going to school aren't you? You said you wanted to be a doctor you can't work and go to school." He looked sad and frowned. He didn't say anything as we climbed into the car.

We finally arrived in California! We have been here for a week now it is still winter break so I don't have school for a few more weeks. Willy went to the bank today but he suddenly got scared and picked me up and ran into the bank to talk to the lady instead of the machine. "Ma'am can you please tell me where this money came from?" He quickly asked. "Yes of course, can I please get your first and last name?" She asked. "William Vincent Michaelson." "Birthday and last known transaction please." "October 24th 1991 and I bought breakfast at Denny's for my sister and I." She began typing on her computer, "Okay so this transaction was sent by A.N. and unfortunately that's all the details it gives me. I don't know who it is, it doesn't give me a full name I'm sorry." "No that's okay..thank you though. Have a nice day ma'am." He walked away still carrying me. He seemed far away, and didn't notice when I nudged him.

"Will? Willy? Hello. Are you there?" I pestered him. "What? Oh sorry I was just in shock , Mia I think we have someone watching over us. We are going to be perfectly okay and I will be going to school to make sure we will be okay one hundred percent." He smiled so wide it looked like it hurt.
