Anna's pov.
I walk into school with my three best friends Jackson, Eric, and Alexa. They are the best! I grew up with them and we are in the same pack.
I am a she-wolf. Very common in these parts of the state. When I change into my wolf, I and a black wolf. Because my hair is black. And I am practically royalty. I am known by everyone at school.
As we walk into school everyone stares at us. Eric has his arm around my shoulders as Alexa's arm is on his waist. They are sort of a thing. They haven't found their mates but they hope they do soon. I'm not sixteen yet, so I haven't found mine either. My birthday is in a month. Jackson's is two weeks after mine.
I hear comments coming from every person in the hallways. Like "I would so bang that" or "damn she's hot!". I don't blame them. I'm wearing a red tank top that is tight and shows my chest off well, and black leather skinny jeans that are also tight and look good in the back. Followed by my clack leather jacket and red skilletos with spikes on the sides.
Everyone think I'm the hottest girl in school, and don't get me wrong, I do love the attention, but it does get smothering when every single person likes u because how you look.
Jackson stops at our lockers, which are all side by side, and looks at me.
"Anna?" he asks.
"Yeah?" I reply.
He shakes his head and laughs. "Nothing, I just- nevermind." I look at him suspiciously and laugh.
"Okay. Whatever you say dude."
We get our books and go our separate ways. Me and Alexa have our first three classes together. Then we all have the remaining six together. Counting lunch, PE, and computer tech.
Alexa sits beside me in the back. "I think someone likes you..." she says.
"Who?" I ask.
"You seriously don't know? Wow. I thought u were smarter than that."
"I seriously don't know." I say.
She rolls her eyes and writes on an index card. She passes it so me.
Jackson.
"What?! No! that's impossible!" I quietly shout.
"Okay. I'll mind link him and you can secretly be there and listen. Okay?" she asks and suggests. I nod and huff. I daze and be a shadow in the conversation so he doesn't know I'm there.
Jackson. Anna says.
I feel his presence there.
What? I'm in the middle of a test! he hisses.
Sorry but I have a question.
Fine. Go on.
Okay. So. Do you kinda like just a lit-little like... anna? she stutters while she asks.
Why?
Because I want to know.
Okay. Well... I don't know. Maybe... Okay. Yeah a little I guess...
I knew it!! she squeals.
Don't tell her! Please. Don't. He pleads.
Okay. I won't. She agrees.
She says bye and comes back to reality. So do I.
"What he doesn't know is that you didn't tell me... He did." I say sadly.
She claps her hands, more loudly than I thought she would.
" Mrs. Anna and Alexa, do you have something to share with the class?" Mr. Bonaire asks. I of coarse shake my head. Alexa stands up.
"Yes. We do." She says confidently.
I grab her sleeve. "What are you doing?!" I whisper.
"Trust me and follow me." She says and pulls loose, then grabs my sleeve and drags me to the front of the room.
"Everyone. We were discussing a serious matter. As you all know, we all have birthdays. Right? Well Anna's birthday is in a month. We were discussing it because she is royalty." She says emphasizing the word royalty. "I hope none of you will forget this and that you will provide birthday wishes and presents. Thank you for listening." She says ending her speech. She bows and walks back to her seat leaving me up there.
"Thanks. And yes my birthday really is in a month." I say and everyone starts to clap and cheer. I walk to my seat and see that even the teacher is clapping and smiling. "What was that?" I ask Alexa.
She shrugs. "They should be clapping for me since I said more. No offense." I smile at her since none was taken. We hug and the bell rings. We leave and the rest of the day goes by smoothly.
