Nanami POV

My eyes dart around as I walk beside Kuroo, who's just calmly strolls down the street looking around the stores windows....This is so nerve-wracking!!!

I got myself into a date with Kuroo because I left my house expecting to hang out with the team, but nope I end up being trolled by him. I grit my teeth remembering that Cheshire smile of his. Oh how much my mom would kill me if she knew. If Sota was still at home, he would probably laugh at me and then tell me he told me so.

I take a quick glance at Kuroo again. He's acting so casual. What is he thinking? Why does he want to take me out so much? I'm not even that exciting to hang out with.

Kuroo notices me staring at him and smirks. I immediately turn my head to the side to hide my embarrassment.

"Hm~ If you want to keep your eyes on me it's perfectly fine," he says with shrug then snickers. "I know I'm so attractive that you'll drool over me." He says with a mischievous smile.

My face flushes bright red and I punch him on the shoulder. "I'm not going to drool over your bed hair." I retort trying to hide my embarrassment.

"..." Kuroo's eyes widen and he checks himself at a near by store window. "I thought you said you liked my bed hair!" He cries out in shock.

My eyes widen in surprise as I watch him struggle to fix his hair. Pfft. What is Kuroo doing right now? I accidentally let out a giggle.

"What's so funny?! Am I making it worse??" He loudly asks catching the attention of the people around us.

"Pfft. Hahahahaha," I wipe away my tears of joy. "I'm sorry. I'm joking, I like your hair it's only something you can pull off," I grin and he frowns.

"Hahaha you're funny. Nanami you look nice but you're mean." Kuroo sarcastically states. "Don't joke about my hair. It's a serious matter," he pouts.

"Is it really that serious of a matter?" I suspiciously question in a joking manner.

"It is." He answers and then a small smile forms on his face. "But if you say my hair is charming then I'm fine with the way it is." He says and pats me on the head.

My heart skips a beat and I pull away from his touch before my heart bursts. "D-Don't pat me like a kid!" I nervously shout trying to calm my heart down. "A-Anyways where are we going?" I ask holding onto my purse. Why am I following his pace!? I came with him because I didn't want to be in debt, not because I wanted to.

"Where we're going?" Kuroo repeats my question in thought. He thinks for a while and snaps his fingers like a dork. "Let's go bowling."

"Huh???" I say in surprise. He naturally takes my hand and strings me along with him.

Why bowling????

(Current time - 2:00 pm)

I tie my shoe laces into a perfect bow and glance over to Kuroo who's just trying to practice by air bowling. He's so lame...

I take a bowling ball from the rack and observe the people around us bowling. I wonder why he chose to come here though? There aren't many couples, it's more families and friends. Not that I'm disappointed! I'm just a little relieved that we went here instead.

Kuroo sneaks over like a cat and takes the bowling ball from my hand. "Get ready to be awed by this fellow bowling pro." He smirks pointing to himself.

"I thought you were a volleyball pro?" I question in a somewhat teasing manner.

He muses over the thought and shrugs. "Doesn't hurt to be a pro in a multiple number of sports~ Just watch me."

He takes in a deep breath and does a perfect swing. I watch the bowling ball make a slightly small curve, but hit the pins at the straight center making all the pins fall. My eyes blink a couple times seeing a....

"Strike!" Kuroo pumps his fist in victory.

I applaud. "I thought you were going to miss," I bluntly tell him and he frowns.

"I'm not going to miss, but Miss Manager might because it's in the name~" he provokes and a vein pops on my head.

"That your nickname!" I angrily take a different bowling ball from the rack and head to the alley lane. "If you think you're the pro then watch the master play." I swing the bowling ball and watch the bowling ball accidentally jump out of our lane to the other neighborhood lane and land a spike.

Does that count as a spike?

"S-See got a spike like a master," I try to act proud of the failed attempt to get myself a full spike.

Karoo shoulders start to shake and soon he bursts laughing. "Pfft. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Teach me your ways Master Nanami! HAHAHAHA!! I want to spike to the other side the court!" He laughs and my cheeks puff up in embarrassment.

It's not that funny!

He keeps laughing for a little more much to my annoyance and takes another bowling ball then hands it to me.

"Second try, let's see if you can show me your skills unless you need some lessons from the one and only Tetsurou Kuroo," he proudly claims and I grit my teeth.

"I-I only need a few lessons," I admit not wanting to make myself an idiot again and the tips of his lips turn up.

"Great~ I'm glad you ask," he innocently smiles. He snakes his arm from behind me making cheeks flush bright red. "You stance is fine, but you're not paying attention to where you're swinging. In order to get a strike for a beginner like you, you have to roll the bowling ball at the center," he says next to my ear making me get more nervous by the second. He directs my arm in the straight motion. I try to following him a couple times then see the pattern.

A Cheshire smile forms on his face. "Well Master Nanami, should we see if you have the right to keep your title?" Kuroo teases as he takes a seat. "Or we could see another unique spike."

"Haha very funny, watch me and then we'll see who be laughing," I take my position and carefully pay attention to where my arm swings the bowling ball. I take in a deep breath make my swing and let go of the bowling ball. I watch it the bowling ball hit all the pins except for one in the corner.

Kuroo whistles. "Nice improvement maybe Master Nanami can possibly keep her title after all~"

"I thought you were going to laugh about the one pin still standing," I point out and he shrugs.

"Trust me I already got a full on laugh earlier so I can't really laugh unless something as funny as that happens again," he snickers and I sweatdrop.

I hope it never happens again!

Kuroo looks over to the score board and takes a bowling ball. "Let's play a full game Miss Manager, I'll go easy on you," he smiles.

"Don't go easy on me, I'll show how much of a bowling master I am," I proudly declare and he chuckles.

"That's cute," he quietly says and then ruffles my hair. "Guess we'll see about that~"

"Kuroo! Stop treating me like a kid!" I shout louder than I expected and Kuroo snickers.

"Sure, if you win~" he says with a cheeky smile.

The two of us play 2 games and in both games I lost to Kuroo by a lot. I manage to get a few spares and spikes, but Kuroo basically took the lead by getting all the spikes and few spares. I told him not to go easy on me and seeing how I lost, I can't call myself the bowling master in the end.

After this, we decide to take a break outside of the bowling place to get some fresh air after some fierce competitive bowling.

"Here," Kuroo hands me a juice box and I stare at it. Kuroo doing a kind gesture how unusual.

"It's not poisoned," he states and I start to panic.

"I-I didn't think it was poisoned!" I immediately try to clear it up with him.

"Hmmm.. Then what were you thinking?" He says with his cat like eyes staring at me and my cheeks turn slight red. I jerk my head to the side to hide my rosy cheeks.

"Just how mean you could sometimes and nice other times," I point out. "Your actions are bipolar."

"You think that, but I think your actions are bipolar as well. You act cute sometimes, but other times you're competitive and rough," Kuroo laughs.

"Well that's just who Nanami Matsuoka is," I huff. "I got that rough, competitive side of me because of Sota. He's the type of person to get serious for any sport and always brings me along with him so he influenced this girl right here," I nonchalantly say proudly as I remember the the times I used to play with Sot before our parent's divorce. I haven't seen him in a long time.

Kuroo's smile vanishes. "Who's Sota?" He suspiciously asks me with some weird aura coming out of him.

"Huh? Sota?" I say surprised by Kuroo's sudden change in tone.

"Yep who's this Sota? I'm not going to do anything bad to him, I'm just curious," he says with a hint of annoyance. "Childhood friend, Friend, Boyfriend, Ex-boyfriend. What's his relationship with you?"

I sweatdrop with the options given to me. "Are you jealous or something?" I tease.

He doesn't say a word and I catch a glimpse of his profile from the sunset. If looks could kill, it would definitely be right now. "Hm." Kuroo pauses and then speaks. "Maybe I am." He says and takes a sip of his juice box.

My heart skips a beat from his surprising answer. "S-Sota is just my older brother," I answer and his eyebrow slightly rises.

"You have an older brother?" He questions and I nod my head.

"He's a second year this year, but you and Kenma wouldn't know him because he doesn't go to Nekoma. He goes to Karasuno," I tell him.

"Karasuno?" He repeats and I nod my head.

"Yeah. Karasuno High School it's at Miyagi," I tell him.

"Oh well if it's like that then I'm fine," he sighs in relief.

"What do you mean by fine?" I ask and he crushes the juice box from his hand.

"Let's just say I know a classmate.... Aoi, Akane's older brother. He's way too protective over his sister and if you were to have a brother like that..." he comments and I tilt my head confused by his statement.

"What are you talking about?" I ask and he shrugs.

"Let's just say, I would be in trouble," he says and tries to shoot his crushed juice box at a nearby trash and misses.

Pfft. I try to keep in my laughter, but I burst out laughing and Kuroo frowns.

"Laugh all you want," Kuroo says not amused. "It's not like you can do any better."

"I don't know, my brother always took me out to play basketball with his friends," I tell him as I finish my juice box. I crush the empty juice box and aim for the trash. I shoot it into the trash perfectly without hitting the rim.

"What!?" Kuroo says in shock. "How did you do that?"

"Hm. I threw the juice box in the trash and it went in," I brag. "I guess I got my title as the master back," I grin.

"I guess you did Master Nanami," he chuckles.

We share a couple of laughs and after that Kuroo walks me home. I didn't admit it to his face, but... I enjoyed our small date.

Kuroo POV

I walk Nanami home after getting our drinks because she said she didn't want to go home any later than 5 pm which was fine with me. I had a great date with her even though I highly doubt she would call this a date, but if anyone were to ask me, I would call it our first date.

She thank me for today, even when I forced her in the first place. I find her manners to be cute and adorable. I didn't ask her why she wanted to come home early, but I notice the huge relief in her face when she saw there wasn't anyone home.

I'm not going to pry into her business, but I do wonder how her brother goes to Karasuno High, if it's hours away from here. I have a few scenarios in mind, but I'm just going to forget about it for now.

Nanami is still a mystery to me, but of course I would like to know more about her. I want to be on her good side.

My cellphone vibrates and I chuckle. Nanami probably wants to have another date again because I'm such a handsomer charmer. I pick up my cellphone.

"Hello~"

"KUROO!!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?" Yaku shouts in an extremely annoyed tone. "I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF YOU!!!!"

"Somewhere?" I reply and I could hear the anger sizzling out of the small Yaku from my cellphone.

"We've been following Kenma and Akane! Not to mention this Lev guy is deciding to follow us too! Goddamn Kuroo! Aoi made this your responsibility! You better come right ---"

I hang up on the phone so I don't have to listen to Yaku's yapping. Now what was I thinking about it. Oh right good day today~I happily whistle to myself as I walk home.
