I wasn't sure how to reply so I sat there and silently nodded, my mind and heart were racing, I had no idea what I should do, I had never had a boyfriend before only crushes that I soon found out hated me. I felt like I had to say something, anything!
"Eric, you don't have to pretend that you like me" I said quietly, waiting for him to leave, but instead, he placed a finger under my chin, and gently pulled my face up to look at his. He smiled at me and then leaned towards me and kissed me. It felt amazing, I had little tingles running all over me, I have no idea how long we were there, all I know is I suddenly heard Gwen trying to get our attention when I pulled away.
"Oh um... hi Gwen" I said with a laugh, I could tell my voice was shaking.
"Hey!" She giggled. I smiled, and looked down at where Eric had a hold on my hand.
"Why'd you come out here? Eric asked.
"It's time for us to head in" Gwen explained,
"Plus, I wanted to talk to my friend!" Gwen said, gesturing to me.
"C'mon Angie, let's go" Gwen smiled, grabbing the hand that Eric wasn't holding and gently pulling me up and dragging me into the hall.
This is the happiest I've been in forever.
But that didn't stop me.
