It's was the summer I finally turned 18. I have been waiting for this day my whole life. The day I finally had freedom, the day I could be called an adult.
It was August 31st and if course my birthday was on the first day of school. It always has been since the first day of kindergarten.
I walked into my school proud because this year nothing could ruin me. I was a senior. I had my own car, a license, I had already been thinking about multiple colleges, nothing could go wrong. And boy was I wrong.
