To Melissa:
All I did to break free of my cycle, litterally, was break out of my surgery tank! For your situation, look at Mulan. She impersonated a solider to save her father. Am I telling you to impersonate a solider? No. Look at your situation closely. A collection of lies, you say? Find the grain of truth hidden in all of them. Usually a lie has a grain of truth to it. If you can base your personality on those little grains of truth, instead of focusing on the lies, then you can change this situation. As Shay might say, "I don't want to be a hyped up Barbie doll." (direct qoute from Uglies there, if anyone that hasn't read Uglies is reading, and also for Scott if he's reading!) I agree with that sentence here. You don't want to be what someone else wants you to be. Just ask Frizz! In case you haven't heard, he started the Radical Honesty clique, with a want to quit making different personalities for girls. If I remember correctly, he would lie to each girl, never letting his real self show. He did eventually reverse the surgery, though. I'm not saying get the surgery either, that was MY problem.
My point? Just be yourself. Find something that makes you unique. It's okay to be uncomfrotable in your own skin sometimes, but you don't have to change for anyone.
