I woke up like I always did and then suddenly remembered something extraordinary: it was my birthday!
Once I got out of bed I took a shower and put on a white sweater and dark blue jeans. Since I wasn't going anywhere for a while, I didn't put on shoes. What's the point of putting them on if you don't need them? I headed downstairs and got the post from in front of the door. I opened the door to see if there were any packages. I spotted a white box with a picture of a rectangle with little squares on it. What is this? Is this some sort of trap? I cautiously picked up the box and read: iPhone 6s. What's an iPhone? Some sort of muggle teleportation device? Can muggles even teleport? I strolled into the kitchen and saw my mother making sausage links, scrambled eggs, and toast.
"Mom? What's this thing?" I asked. I really wanted to know. It looked amazing but confusing at the same time!
"It's an iPhone sweetie. I went to muggle London, saw it, and asked how It worked. I decided that it would be a perfect birthday present!"
"Can you show me how to work it after breakfast?" She gave me a nod of approval, and my father looked up from his newspaper, the Daily Prophet.
"What's this thing you speak of? Are you sure it's not some sort of trap?" My father was always cautious with muggle things. He never trusts them! I don't see muggles as all that bad! My mother assured him that I was fine. He shook his head and turned back to the newspaper.
"Did you get the post?", my mother asked.
"Yes mother!", I replied cheerily. I was so happy that I had gotten my first muggle item!
"Take out what's addressed to you.", she told me.
I separated the mail into groups of mail for me, mail for mom, and mail for dad. I stopped when I came to a letter that looked as if the parchment was really old. It was addressed to me. I read the address on the envelope: Amarie house, Ottery St. Catchpole, master bedroom 2. I opened it and peered at its contents. There were two pieces of parchment, one looked like a supply list. What do I need a supply list for? I took out the other piece of parchment and read:
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
Dear Ms Amarie,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find an enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl no later than 31 July.

"That's your Hogwarts letter sweetie. It's where all of the young witches and wizards go to school!", said my mother.
"But why would they give this to me now? It's December 1st, and term doesn't start until the first of September!"
"They give it to you on your birthday so that you can stress out until it's time to leave." ,said my father. Eavesdropper. He was always mean and cruel to me ever since he found out I like muggles.
"That's enough Lucas! Don't scare the girl!", said my mother. She was always kind to me no matter what. She was okay with muggles since she didn't take sides. She was afraid that if she took my side then my father would do something terrible, horrifying.
After I was situated and had eaten my breakfast my mother taught me how to use the muggle device. I had to click certain areas to make it do certain things. Mom explained that if my friends had phones, I would click on the numbers in a certain order to call them. I could also download games to play when I was bored. When we finished, I walked upstairs as I thought about the morning I just had.
