Boys; I never understand them and I never will. I've been in sanction for three days counting today. Yesterday was extremely awkward. Firstly I had to run with Sam -who is still pretending that I do not exist- Then we did separate reflection time with Miss Locke breathing down my neck. And lastly we both had our very own one-on-one talk with Warden iron who gave us 'top tips on how to resolve a conflict'
Well, actually he just threatened me into never going anything like this again; but in his eyes I bet it's probably the same thing.
I'd just come back from breakfast alone in the sanction cabin dining room. Sam was leaving just as I came in which didn't surprise me too much.
I'm just confused. He tried to kiss me -I think- and now he is avoiding me like I have the plague.
I quickly showered because I stunk after running. I did the one thing I shouldn't do. I ran from my problems instead of trying to confront them. It's not something that I would usually do but I allowed myself the exception.
According to my USA phone it is only 8:30 AM meaning that it is around 18:30 in Australia. Noe was probably the best time to try and phone Autumn. I could come in late to activities I guess, although I would probably have my phone taken away for the whole day instead of just overnight.
I don't care.
I clicked the contact number I have for Autumn and then waited while the dialling tone changed meaning it is connecting to another country.
"Hello?" Autumn answered. Behind here I could hear the lapping of the Sea. "November are you okay?" She said worriedly.
My heart swelled hearing my sisters voice for the first time in two weeks. I sniffed back the tsunami which was threatening to come out of my eyes and smiled. "Yeah, I'm good it's just so good to hear your voice" I said quietly. I pushed the phone hard to my ear so I didn't miss anything Autumn said.
"So? How is it?" She said, the usual buzz in her voice was dialled down a little, but I could still hear it. "Are they as bad as you thought?"
"Yes, and no" I replied, rejecting on my roommates and then on Aida and her worshippers.
"Okay, explain the yes and then the No" She said. I could feel Autumn smirking through the phone in her usual manner.
"The 'Yes' is my roommates, Kate and Jessica. Jessica is really Rude and out going. Like full on tough girl- she has these amazing pink highlights in her hair which you would love. Kate is just blunt. She says what she wants to and doesn't care otherwise. She's quiet cool too"
"My Type of friends?" Autumn asked.
"You'd like them" I replied, nodding. Autumn laughed on the other line.
"Explain the 'No' "
"Ugh. How do I start? There is this daddies little devil girl called Aida. She's as plastic and blonde as they get with a mix of Regina George; She has these two clones Annie and Ashely who are basically a re-incarnation of dumb and dumber and all the guys are after her. Theres this one guy called Cameron who she ran in front of slowly so he had no choice but to check out her butt!" I exclaimed, flopping down onto my bed.
"So you guys are good friends then?" She asked. I grunted down the line at my sister and she laughed. Good old Autumn making jokes.
"She got me put in a form of punishment where I had all my free time taken away from me and I had to do community service, and now she's put me in a complete sanction. I honestly can't believe how cunning she is."
"Just punch her in the boobs." Autumn stated. As if life was that simple.
"So, have you spoken to William Good recently?" She asked. Oh William. I hadn't thought about my old crush in a while.
"Nope. Why would I? He moved schools to go to collage!" I reminded my sister. She sighed down the phone and muttered something about a pathetic young love life.
"So, are there any boys you like?" She asked. I froze at her question immediately.
"No,... I don't really know any of the boys. Jessica and Kate know quite a few so I might meet a guy through them" I lied. Jessica and Kate did know some boys very well... Maybe they new a guy who wouldn't mess up my emotions just by smirking.
"You're such a bad liar, November. I can feel your lie from all the way out here" Autumn paused. "It's so peaceful out here. Aunt Jodie is out by the sea and it is just... amazing. But anyway tell me about this guy."
"Okay, his name is Sam and he has dark hair" I said bluntly.
There was a moment of silence down the line. "It's the guy we met at the airport, isn't it?" She said quietly.
Her sudden silence surprised me. I managed to squeak out a 'yes' into the phone.
"Be careful with this one Nov, he seems too bad. Like he is hiding something; the guy gave me negative vibes at the airport- I just don't want you getting hurt"
I scoffed down the phone at my sister. "Since when did you become so sensitive? Vibes? Really?" I joked, expecting Autumn to laugh.
She suddenly went really quiet down the line. She sniffed a few times and tried to say something, eventually she managed to. "Nov, I've really messed up... I've..."
She blew the plan? How could my amazing sister who made this plan herself even fail something like this?
"The plan?" I asked quietly down the phone.
"No, something much worse, November I think you might want to sit down" I did as I was told and rolled onto my stomach on the bed.
"I'm down" I said, squeezing my eyes shut in preparation for the shock.
Autumn exhaled down the line and laughed bitterly to herself.
"I'm pregnant"
As soon as I heard these words I rolled off the bed and fell on the floor; I didn't feel any pain, I felt numb.
"Please tell me you are joking" I said in a deadpan voice. I am seriously hoping that this is all one big joke that doesn't mean anything. Autumn likes to joke around- she's just pulling my leg.
"I was a little late, so I went into the local pharmacy and got a few tests. The women behind the counter didn't looked surprised and handed them over. Next thing I know two blue lines come up and I'm on the phone to Blake"
"What did he say?"
"We've agreed on keeping the baby and raising it together. He is going to be seventeen when the baby is born so he should be able to drive. Blake's family are well off too and his Mum, although she was surprised is going to support us as she had Blake's oldest sister Abigail when she was sixteen"
"Does mum know?" I asked.
"Of course not. It would ruin everything! I'm only telling her after summer when you are back. Aunt Jodie doesn't know either and I plan on keeping it that way"
I felt happy and sad at the same time. My sister was going to loose her education because of this, but at the same time she was going to have a baby which would be loved and supported throughout its life. That to me is probably the best thing.
"Now I've got that out of the way, tell me. Are you still clinging on desperately to your first kiss, Aunty November?"

This was an unplanned plot twist, so when I wrote this I felt just as surprised as you all did. Now just to get this straight I DO NOT AGREE WITH TEENAGE PREGNANCIES but I know it is something that happens around the world and it is coped with.
And before you ask, No. Autumn won't kill her baby. That is one thing I am making sure I do not write about... I do like to write tragic and surprising things into my stories though.
However I'm only fifteen and do not want to get too nitty gritty with details, although there are some explicit references, this is why it is a TEEN fiction, expected for teenagers and above.
I'm going to try and Edit this although I'm betting that there will be mistakes many.
