Has your heart ever hurt? I mean physically hurt, so bad that you try to grab your chest to relieve the pain but it doesn't stop. It stops you in your tracks. It makes it so hard to breath. It doesn't go away either. To do anything productive you have to push past the pain.
Then you try to stay busy, because you think that maybe, just maybe, if you ignore it, it will go away. Sometimes it does. Then it always comes back. That same ache and pain. That sting in your heart. Then when you go to the doctor. They say your fine. Healthy. Nothing is wrong.
I am here to say that there is a such thing as a broken heart. Its something I thought people had made up. They just felt sad and they used the broken heart metaphor to express how they were feeling. I was wrong. It does exist. And this is how I broke mine.
