Bekah's POV: As soon as I heard the bad news, I had my mouth open, appearing on my face as she told me and everyone around the table and glared at each other in surprise, "What?" I gasped into the phone.
"Yeah I know, it sucks a lot." She sighed and I could picture her tilting her head in sadness.
"Something just came to mind and I don't mean to sound rude but how did they find out about you?" Kurt decided to ask, hoping not to sound too harsh with his choice of words.
"Well, before Bekah lost her memory, long before this happened, Bekah & I had to do a song together and it was for Music Class and the song was 'Take a Hint' and everyone heard us through the speakers in the rooftop where we were singing at," Gabby explained and Kurt's face beamed up and mine was still in shock.
"Oh yeah, I remember that song!" Kurt exclaimed, "Bekah & you were singing that in class and she & I took over the role and sang together because of our fight during that time," He explained to me and I was still shocked about everything that happened in my life before I lost my memory.
"You & I sang?" I asked him curious and he nodded.
"Yeah, and not to sound cocky or anything but, we sounded pretty great together. Actually a lot better than you and Gabby," Kurt smugly smiled to himself and heard Gabby gasp, offended.
"I heard that, you piece of shit!" She exclaimed angrily.
"So do you think you'll take the job if they DO like your voice?" I quickly changed the subject.
She let out a huge depressed sigh, "I hope they do because it'll boom my dream up more and I can finally become something-someone even," She emphasized on that last part excited. "I want to be like you, Beck, and be someone everyone'll love and want to become as well, like an inspiration,"
"Gabby, I'm not sure what you mean by that because I've never experienced that in my life, at least not what I'm thinking, stating that you want to become like me," I said, confused to hear what she was pointing out and glanced at the three with a raised eyebrow.
"Ever since I was little, I had a dream Beck, I had a dream where I could be someone everyone adored and loved, like how people loved you with your group and just you alone. You're like an inspiration to people. Yeah, we were known for our singing in school but just the fact that EVERYONE in the whole WORLD knows who I was is something very astonishing sends amazing chills down my spine, and I believe I can make it," Gabby explained, probably dreaming about the millions of fans she would have.
I saw Kurt lean towards Adam and Tommy and asked, "Do you believe of that she's saying? About her wanting to be like Beck?" I heard Kurt whisper to Adam & Tommy and saw them both shrug in confusion. I have to agree with the boys, I really didn't believe anything she was pointing out or anything at all she's saying that she wanted to be like me, it sounded creepy more than inspiring.
"So what kind of demo do they want you to sing?" I asked her, wondering what song she'll sing.
"Anything really, I'm still choosing though, I want to be on fleek with my song choice that fits for my voice. You know you can't go willy-nilly with your voice, its very fragile & delicate,"
"So is your ego if you use it too much," Kurt chuckled and I slapped him on his arm because of his joke, "What!?" He mouthed at me and I rolled my eyes.
"You know Kurt, that also says a lot about you as well. The way you think you're all that," Gabby fought back.
Kurt snickered at her comeback, "Funny, because I think of you the same way, trying to be like 'all that'," He mocked her.
"Listen bucko, I'm trying to play nice here but you're getting on my god damn nerve if nothing else!" Gabby was starting to get pissed off.
"I'm just speaking the truth!" He scoffed.
"Well I'll have you know that I'm NOT trying to be all that, I'm NOT trying to be better than others', I just want my career to be a success and its finally coming true after all my fucking hard work." She defended herself as well, "Great," she groaned all annoyed, "now I'm in a bad fucking mood. I was ALL happy & cheerful until YOU decided to ruin it! You couldn't have waited until I was ACTUALLY there to tell you!"
"You're the one who called so why am I getting punished?" Kurt huffed at her.
"I couldn't wait anymore, that's all. And you started it, not me,"
"I said I was speaking the truth!"
"It sounded like ignorance to me," She had a sing-song tone in her voice & Kurt had enough of it.
"You want ignorance? I'll show you ignorance the next time you're near me, bitch!" He nearly shouted throughout the whole café & it had everyone to look at us in concern,"That'll show you what ignorance REALLY is!"
"Um...Kurt?" I gently tried to speak to him.
"What!?" He angrily answered and I pointed my finger at the crowd that he had surrounded and he noticed them and chuckled, "Oh, its nothing, everyone. Its just a little play my friend & I are rehearsing," Kurt tried to settle and his face was covered with embarrassment and physically face-palmed himself,
Gabby laughed at his pitiful comment, "You little bitch! You really think you're tough enough to actually fight me?" she kept on laughing and it had pride inside those words, which made Kurt mumble to himself in anger, trying to keep his voice low this time,
"Sooo when are you going?" I changed the subject,
"I'll be going shortly, but I had to tell you before I left,"
"I wish you luck," I let a little smile come up in my face but saw that everyone else besides Kurt who was pouting, wasn't smiling as well, they seemed worried than happy,
"Thanks," She blandly said, "I gotta go, I'll let you know when I'm leaving." she quickly hanged up the call and I heard a beep end on my phone, meaning she ended the call without my response, and it left me in shock a little bit,
Tommy looked at me concerned, "What happened?"
"She just...hanged up on me," I explained and Adam clenched his teeth with cringe all over his face,
"Yikes. Do you think she just wanted to tell you that to make you jealous or something?" He asked me and I looked at him,
"What do you mean by 'jealous'? Did I do something to make her like this? Is she, like, inspired by me or something? What the fuck is going on?" I kept asking all these questions,
"Well, when you were 14 years old, I signed you up to be in an all girl-group when I became famous and whatnot and everyone loved you and the group. Long story short, fame was growing massively and literally everyone wanted to be you guys so I had to force you out of that situation and it seems now Gabby is one of those people who want to be like you," Adam explained to me and I just stood there with a shocked expression,
"So basically, it was YOUR fault that Gabby became Bekah?" Kurt asked Adam, crossing his arms, and I sighed at his question,
"Kurt, its not Adam's fault. It was just how famous and popular I got,"
"But if he didn't sign you up to be in an all girl group, you wouldn't be so famous and have literally everyone act and BECOME like you." Kurt looked at me as he told me that,
"Yeah but everyone who is famous gets a lot of fans who wants to be there in that position or like them nowadays," I made that statement but he didn't seem to get it,
"Okay, you're not getting it, Bekah! Your memory is lost right now and you don't know how Gabby is like I do because of your memory, and that's the only thing I rather focus on right now beside that cunts' life! So I rather end this before it gets ugly!" Kurt ended this senseless argument, trying to calm everything down between us and turned his back towards me and I stood there with a blank face not knowing what to say or do next. Geez, I didn't know how much he hated her,
"Sorry," I mumbled underneath my breath and turned around to look at my feet under the table in guilt, everyone sat around in awkward silence until the footsteps of Darrens' came back with our food ready to eat, along with the other food on the tray that everyone else ordered besides us,
"Okay. I have two glasses of Water for the gentlemen, one Chicken Salad for the miss, and a special order for the beautiful boo that's in front of me," Darren placed everyone's order on the table in front of them one-by-one and gave us a gentle smile, especially at Kurt,
I can notice a cute little smile appear on Kurt's face suddenly, "Thanks babe," his voice changed from Vexation to Flirtatious fast,
Darren gave him the same smile he gave us but added a wink, "you're welcome, precious," he began to walk away to the other table beside us and strutting his ass on purpose for Kurt's entertainment, knowing he would be staring at him for a while. He was purposely popping out his ass out in front of Kurt, making Kurt sigh VERY happily and dreamily,
"He's so fucking gorgeous. Now I know what I'll be grabbing onto for pleasure next time we fuck,"
"Can you NOT think about sex for once?" Adam asked giving him a half smile, half amused by Kurt's reaction to Darren,
"Hey, sex is my thing, you know?" He said with a smirk and we started eating our food in silence for the next hour,
~~~Moments later~~~
Everyone got done eating and Kurt kissed his boy bye until later on and we walked back home in silence once again, Tommy & Adam were talking and walking in front of us, while Kurt & I walked beside each other in peace for a few minutes.
"Hey Beck," I jumped as I heard Kurt's voice and glared at him as we walked, "I know what I said back there about Gabby was pretty harmful sounding and I apologize. But it's just-she's SUCH a bitch most of the time and for her to try and be like you is really uncalled for and sounds really ignorant of her," Kurt apologized about his behavior earlier today and I sighed and looked down while walking still,
"I know you didn't mean it by your behavior, I could tell you were just trying to protect me during this time."
"I was and it was more than just protecting you, I'm concerned for you during this time since you know nothing at this moment and time so when something like that happens, I get more worried for you," He expressed his feelings about the whole thing and sighed, "I guess I'm more of a big brother to you than a friend, and I'm sorry if it aggravates you but its just how I--huh?" Kurt stopped talking as he felt a tug around the right side of his waist and saw that I was hugging him tightly with my head laying on his side and I could sense that he could see the small tears that fell suddenly from my eyes. Tommy & Adam stopped in their tracks as well to notice the scenery and glared at us.
"Thank you, it means a lot. I'm sorry if I sound Naïve at times." I didn't really felt the need to apologize but it seemed right during this time, I felt myself being pulled by Kurt in front of him and he tightly hugged me as well, slouching his back to lay his head on my shoulder.
"Its okay. I'm sorry if I sound like an asshole at times, I don't mean it," Kurt said, giving a quick peck on my cheek and pulled away from me as I wiped my fallen tears from my face and chuckled.
"Hey!" Tommy shouted, "What's with the moment?"
"Its nothing." I replied his question and we started to walk back together.
We were almost home and it was starting to get dark, time changed where we were and it got dark around 6-7, "To be honest with you, I think Gabby's gonna fail as an upcoming artist." Kurt remarked and I knew he just HAD to be honest with the recent news and I laughed at his comment.
"Is it terrible that I agree?" I laughed and he shook his head.
"No, not really. Because in order for you to become successful as an artist, you have to be fair with yourself and work hard to become an artist. It can't be done so easily overnight and with how naïve she is, that isn't gonna happen so easily." Kurt expressed about this whole thing and I could say that I agreed with his advice.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I mean, when I first started as a singer, I knew from the start that I had to work hard & be confident in myself but I couldn't let it get over my head because it may not happen the way you want it to. You have to work hard on it and be proud of it in the end." Kurt continued on.
"You're right, maybe I should say that to her."
"No, don't even bother. She won't even listen to you, she'll just be talking about herself. Trust me," Kurt placed his hand on my shoulder and rubbed it, looking at me with his Hazel eyes, and I looked back at him and nodded.
"Okay, I won't." She gave in without protest this time, which made Kurt happy this time.
"Good," We smiled back at each other in happiness this time and he brought me closer to him, pulling me in for a side hug.
