Annie; day three
it's become a usual thing now, wearing Caleb's clothes, I pull on one of his blue polos and walk to the school room. I begin to write a note for him when katie walks in. "Want to go on the trampoline?" She asks, I contemplate it for a moment, thinking how much easier it would to hide under the covers or in one of my parent arms and cry. But I know that's not anywhere near why Caleb would want me to do, so in my pink pajama pants and Caleb's polo I make my way to the trampoline, and it almost as if I can feel him being proud of me. And it perks me up a bit, I smile, for the first time in days and katie is watching me. Her lips curl up as well, into the biggest smile I've ever seen from her, and I start to think, maybe it's not so bad after all, I mean he's ok, in heaven. and he's probably really happy.
And as I start to jump and tuck on the trampoline I can feel home watching over me, smiling, so I smile to.
