"Wake up!", I heard Sherika yell.
"Leave me alone!", I yelled back and then, I felt the cover being taken off me.
"Hey!", me and Meek yelled at the same time.
"It's time to get up. Your son is already up.", Sherika told Meek.
"I hate you.", I told her and she laughed.
"I love you too.", she said while walking out the room.
"I guess it's time to get up.", I told him and I got up and went downstairs.
I heard yelling and laughing as I was coming down the stairs.
"Hey. Hey. Hey. Tone your voices down.", I told them and they did.
"Where's Papi?", I asked.
"I'm right here!", I heard him yell and I looked down.
He was hugging my legs so, I picked him up.
"How was your sleep?", I asked him.
"Good!", he said and I smiled.
"Hey little man.", I heard Meek say and he took him out my arms.
"Anyone cooked?"
"I did.", Sherika said and I gave her a hug.
"What you cook?", I asked her.
"Does cereal count?", she asked and I just looked at her.
"No. Cereal doesn't count. You know what. I can't.", I said as I walked in the kitchen.
"One of y'all niggas ate my donuts. I only have 4 left.", I said.
"You saying it like you only have 1 left.", Meek said and I side eyed him.
"I just wanna know, who ate my donuts.", I said.
"He did it!", The boys pointed at Tak.
"Damn. Just throw me under the bus.", Tak said and everybody laughed.
"I want my donuts.", I said pointing my finger at him.
"I got you.", he said.
"Thank you."
"The girls will be here in 10 minutes and you're not ready.", Sherika told me.
"Always rushing somebody.", I rolled my eyes at her and went upstairs to get dressed.
I went into my closet and decided to wear a dress. I picked out a knitted dress(in MM) and put it on the bed. I took off my shirt, sweatpants, and bra then, put on the dress
"My hair hasn't been straightened in forever.", I said to myself and started straightening my hair.
"Is that about to take you forever?", Sherika asked me and I rolled my eyes.
"They leave yet?", I asked her.
"Meek is giving Papi a bath and once he's done, they'll be leaving.", she told me and I nodded.
"I don't know why you didn't get your hair wet."
"We wouldn't be leaving in 30 minutes if I did."
"We sure wouldn't.", I heard Thembi say.
"Why is there men downstairs?", Candi asked.
"Meek's friends.", I said.
I finished doing my hair and got my stuff together then, went downstairs.
"You look fine as hell.", Meek said and I gave him a smile.
"Why didn't you change into that shirt last night?", I asked him.
"I don't go to sleep with a shirt on.", he said and I rolled my eyes.
"Why didn't you tell us you were wearing a dress?", Candi asked me.
"This was last minute. Sherika was rushing me.", I told her.
"Not my fault you didn't want to wake up.", she said and everybody laughed.
"You about to leave?", I asked Meek and he nodded.
"I gotta go grocery shopping and get some stuff for Pap.", he told me.
"Alright.", I said.
He held out his arms and I walked into the them.
"Y'all will see each other later! Let's go!", Sherika yelled.
"I swear she need some dick.", I said lowly so only Meek could hear.
"I'll see you later shorty. Remember 7:30.", he told me.
"I'll be ready.", I told him and walked out the house.
I waited for all of them to walk out so, I could lock the door.
"Who driving?", I asked the girls.
"I guess I will.", Sherika said.
I got in her car and got my phone out.
"How's mommy?", Sherika asked me.
Sherika's parents were barely around so, my mom took her under her wing.
"She's doing good. Caiah got in trouble. "
"What he do?", Candi asked me.
"Came home around 1.", I said.
That's not like Caiah. He's never leaves the house after 10.
"I'm going to have to pay him a visit soon.", I said.
"Probably misses his big sister.", Thembi said and I nodded.
"I'm going for Thanksgiving.", I said.
"Maybe you can bring Meek.", Sherika said and I side-eyed her.
"Not if we aren't dating.", I told her.
"Their's plenty of time between now and Thanksgiving.", she said back.
"Me and him are only friends."
"I'll give y'all 2 weeks.", Candi said.
"I don't think we'll get together in 2 weeks."
"Never know.", they all said.
We pulled up to the mall and we saw Meek and his crew.
"You guys will be together in 2 weeks", Sherika said and I shook my head.
I got out and I saw Meek smiling leaned up against his car.
"Really."
"I couldn't let you go without security.", he said and I smiled.
"Where's Papi?", I asked him.
"Right here!", I saw him run around the car and hug my legs.
"You're so cute.", I told him and he smiled.
"I would actually like to go shopping.", Sherika said and I rolled my eyes.
I picked up Papi and walked with Meek.
"How'd you know we were going to this mall?", I asked him.
"This is the closet one."
"Where we going first?", Thembi asked.
"I don't care. I need some more clothes though.", I said.
"Let's go to Macy's.", Sherika said.
"Your family here?", he asked me and I shook my head.
"They wanted to stay in New York."
"You goin to visit anytime soon?"
"Thanksgiving."
"I'm going to Philly for Thanksgiving."
"Maybe we can take the my plane.", I said.
"Maybe.", he said and I smiled.
"Nika! Look at this dress! It would look cute on you.", Sherika pulled out a blue dress.
"I would like it if it was pink, but it's not.", I told her and she rolled her eyes.
"You want everything that's pink. Not everything has to be pink.", she told me.
"I know what's pink.", Meek said.
"What?"
"Pu-."
"Nope. Don't even continue. Nasty ass.", I said cutting him off.
"It's true!", he said and I shook my head laughing.
I walked around with Papi still in my arms.
"Dad?"
"Yes Pap?"
"Can I have a turtle?", he asked Meek.
"You mean a toy turtle?"
"A real one."
"I'll think about it. Go to Tak."
"Okay."
I put him down and he ran to Tak.
"Just get the boy a turtle Rihmeek.", I told him and he smiled.
"I don't know if Fah will take care of it."
"Leave it at your house.", I told him.
"I'm barely home.", he said back.
"If we get together, that has to change."
I was about to turn around, but I saw Chanel bags.
"CHANEL!", I yelled and everybody looked at me like I was crazy.
"You love Chanel bags don't you?", he asked me and I nodded.
"What if I got this for you?"
"You don't have to do that Meek. I got it.", I told him.
"I got it.", he said back.
I gave him the bag and he went to the cashier to check out. I saw the girls walking to me.
"Is he buying you that?", Candi asked me and I nodded.
"You better get him before I do.", Thembi said and we laughed.
"Here.", I heard Meek say and I turned around. He was holding a Macy's bag.
"Thank you Rihmeek."
"No problem shorty."
"Let's go to Victoria Secret.", Sherika said and I nodded.
"I need a few stuff from there.", I said.
"You go there every time we come here.", Sherika said.
"Can you bring me lunch tomorrow?", I asked Meek.
"Yeah.", he said and I smiled.
"Daddy!"
"Yes Papi?"
"I saw McQueen!", he said.
His voice is so adorable.
"You want it?", Meek asked him and he nodded.
"I'll catch up with you later okay?", he asked and I nodded.
"I want her to come too!", Papi said and I smiled.
"Ask if she wants too."
I saw him walk up to me and hug my legs.
"Can you come Ms.Onika?", he asked me.
"Sure cutie.", I said and he smiled.
"We'll catch up with with y'all later.", Meek said and they nodded.
"He's the cutest."
"Spoiled too, but they're only kids once.
"Do you do the most shopping?", I asked him
"Pretty much. When he's with me, he gets whatever he wants."
"Sounds like he's living a good life.
"You should see his room. I spent half a mill on it.
"Wow."
"This dad!", we saw Papi pointing to a toy car.
"Get it.", Meek told him and he got it.
"Does his mom know what you do?", I asked him.
"She don't care. Just as long as I'm in his life.", he told me.
"She sounds somewhat nice."
"You go and drop Papi off and see what she's like."
"How about I will?"
"I didn't mean literally."
"I want to do it.", I said and he smiled.
"Aight. I better not get any calls from jail either.", he told me.
"When he need to be dropped off?", I asked him.
"Monday morning, but I'm dropping him off to kindergarten."
He paid for Papi's car and I picked Papi up.
"Where you think they went?", I asked him.
"Omelly and Tak might be at the food court.", he told me.
"So would Sherika. I am getting hungry.
"You didn't eat before you left?", he asked me and I shook my head.
"Come on ma. We gon get you something to eat.
We walked to the food court and of course everybody was there.
"You finally came back.", Sherika said playfully and I rolled my eyes.
"They gon get stuck.", Candi said and I chuckled lightly.
"What you want to eat?", Meek asked me.
"Chick-Fil-A. Get me whatever you get.", I told him and he nodded.
"Papi stay with her.", he told Papi and he ran to me and hugged my legs.
"I've never seen Papi attached to someone like that.", Tak said and I smiled.
"Why are y'all up under each other like that?", I asked Sherika and Tak. They were literally bunched up together.
"No reason.", Sherika said.
"You guys should come to my shop tomorrow.", I said.
"That's if we're with Meek.", Chino said.
"We'll probably be at the warehouse.", Omelly said.
"Of course."
I sat down next to Candi with Papi in my lap.
"I need someone to get some more conditioner for the shop."
"I already got some.", Thembi said.
"Alright."
I saw Meek carrying 3 bags and he placed 2 in front of me then, sat down next to me and started eating.
"You act like you haven't ate in months.", I told him.
"Last time I ate was yesterday around 12.", he told me.
"Not good."
I sat Papi down in between me and Meek. I pulled my food out the bag and started eating.
"How long have you owned your shop?", Omelly asked me.
"Ever since I was 25.", I told him.
"I still can't believe you're 32.", Meek said and everybody laughed.
"Believe it boo."
Robert Rihmeek Williams
She a cool girl. She's different. My phone started ringing and it was Fah.
"Yes?", I said when I answered it.
"Can you keep Papi until Thursday?", she asked me and I sighed.
"Yeah."
"Thanks.",
"Hm.", I said and I hung up before she could answer.
"What happened?", Tak asked me.
"Fah wants me to keep Pap until Thursday.", I said and they shook their heads.
"You'll be with me for awhile little man.", I told Papi and he smiled.
"Did she tell you why?", Nicki asked me and I shook my head.
I saw that Papi and Nicki were done eating so, I got up and threw their trash away.
"Aye. We need to get to the warehouse.", Chino told me.
"Now?"
"No. In about a hour.", Tak said.
"We about to leave as well.", Nicki said.
"How about you ride with me?", I asked her.
"Fine."
Let's go.", I told them and I picked up Papi.
"Are we going home?", he asked me and I nodded.
"I don't want to go back home with mommy.", he said in a sad voice.
"Why?"
"I want to live with you.", he told me and sighed.
"You know that can't happen Pap. I'm sorry.", I told him and he laid his head on my shoulder.
"Aw. Poor baby.", I heard Nicki say.
"I don't know what's wrong.", I told her.
"I think I can get it out of him. He can stay with me again."
"You sure?", I asked her and she nodded.
"Thanks."
"No problem."
We walked out the mall and we to the car.
"Can I go over Ms.Onika's house?", he asked me and I laughed.
"Yeah."
"Yay!", he yelled with excitement.
I never saw him this excited about a person before. I guess that's a good thing.

I think I know why Papi is acting like that. I'll find out eventually.
"Has he asked to move in before?", I asked him.
"Yeah."
"When was the last time?"
"Yesterday. We were on the phone and he kept on asking if he could move in with me. Permanently.", he said.
Yeah. Their's something going on.
"Something's going on Meek. You need to get to the bottom of it.", I told him and he nodded.
I turned around and saw Papi playing with his car.
"I don't know what could be happening though. She's not abusing him."
"Wait, you said you're the only one who's paying for him the most right?"
"Yep."
"She could be using you.", I told him and he sighed.
"I've been thinking the same thing."
"What made you come to L.A.?", I asked him.
"I needed to get away. I brought Fah and Pap with me.", he told me.
"Makes sense."
He pulled into the driveway and I got out to get Papi.
"How was your drive?", Sherika asked me.
"It was good.", I told her.
"Aye Nic, I have to go. I'll pick you up okay?"
"Alright. Be safe.", I told him and he nodded.
We watched him and the boys drive down the street.
"I gotta talk to y'all.", I said.
I walked in the house and put Papi down.
"You can go outside. Their's a trampoline and some other stuff.", I told him and he ran outside.
I went into the living room and got comfortable.
"What you have to tell us?", Thembi asked.
"Their's something wrong with Papi.", I said.
"What do you mean by that?", Sherika asked.
"Earlier he asked Meek if he could move in with him and Meek said it couldn't happen. He looked sad when he sad that. He's asked before multiple of times.", I told them.
"That's not normal.", Candi said.
"Something's going on. He might me be abused, but he knows something.", Sherika said.
"Someone go get him for me."
I took my shoes off and laid down.
"Here you go.", Sherika said.
I saw that he was holding her hand and he was smiling.
"Come here Papi.", I told him and he ran to me and stood between my legs.
I picked him up and sat him on my lap.
"You know how you asked your dad if you could live with him?"
"Yes."
"Why were you sad when he said no?"
"I don't want to live with my mom.", he told me.
"Why Papi?", I asked him.
"I get better care with my dad."
"Papi. You don't have to be afraid. You can tell me.", I said while rubbing his back.
"My dad always gives my mom money for me, but after I turned 2. She started using it for herself. She told me not to tell anybody.", he said while crying and I hugged him.
"It's alright. It's okay.", I said comforting him.
"You need to tell Meek.", Candi said and I nodded.
"I'm going to take him upstairs."
I picked him up and I took him upstairs.
"Will you try to get me to move in with my dad?", he asked me.
"I'll do everything I can.", I told him and he smiled.
"Thank you."
"No problem.", I smiled at him and turned on the TV.
I went back downstairs and got out my phone to call Meek.
"Hello?"
"Hey Meek."
"Wassup?"
"I found out why he was acting like that.", I told him.
"What's going on?"
"You know the money that you give his mom to spend on him?"
"Yeah. I give her money every time I drop him off.", he told me.
"Well, that money isn't being used for Papi."
"I knew it. Let me call you back."
"Alright.", I said and hung up.
"That's sad.", Sherika said and I sighed.

How could she do that. I'm pissed.
"What's wrong with you?", Tak asked me.
"Fah."
"What she do this time?"
"The money I give Papi, she's using it for herself.
"Woah. Not good.", Omelly said.
"I'm about to go over there."
I got up and walked out the warehouse.
"We're going too.", Chino said.
I waited for them to get in the car then, drove off to Fah's.
"Why would she do that?", Omelly asked and I shrugged.
"She better have a good explanation."
"She's not.", Tak said.
I pulled up into her driveway, got out the car, and banged on her door.
"What do you want?", she said.
I pushed past her and made my way to Papi's room. I bought everything in this room.
"So, Papi told me you don't use the money on him. You use it for yourself."
"He's lying."
"Papi wouldn't be the person to do that Fah!", I yelled at her and she jumped.
"No wonder he asked to live with me.", I said.
I looked at her and she looked guilty.
"He's moving in with me.", I told her.
"You can't do that!"
"But the court can.", I said and walked out the house and got in the car.
"I'm surprised you guys didn't fight.", Tak said.
"I was about too.", I said and they laughed.
"Where we about to go?", Tak asked me.
"My place. I need to relax. What time is it?"
"1:05.", Chino told me.
"I got time. I gotta set up for tonight though.", I said.
"Aw. Gangster Meek is going soft.", Omelly said and Iaughed.
"Fuck you.", I told him and drove to my place.
