Usually I wasn't so stupid.
By that I meant walking around the dark alleyways at night.
I clutched by crumpled up coffee cup as I attempted to navigate my way around. In the distance I could hear the faint drunken laughter of men and I could smell the waft of smoke that somehow always stuck to this area of town.
"Hey there pretty one," I heard a rough voice chuckle. I slowly turned around to meet the lifeless eyes of a man, probably double my age.
"Get away." I warned and backed further down into the murky alleyway.
"Shh little bird" He smirked and continued to walk towards me till I felt my back hit against a cold brick wall. I whimpered slightly as he chucked the empty beer bottle he was clutching minutes before onto the concrete. It smashed and glass sprayed around the surrounding area. He put his grubby old hand against my mouth and ripped open my shirt. My eyes went wide with fear and I began to struggle against his hand.
"Stop!" He ordered and I felt his hand been lifted away to then seconds later land on my cheek. I screamed as he placed his hand back over my mouth. His lips made it to my neck and he began to leave traces of his presence. I went limp as I realised the inevitable. More pain would come if I continued to struggle.
Suddenly his rough grip was unattached from my body, making me feel on the ground. Stunned, I looked towards where the man lied. My whole body was shaking with fear and trauma and I cried but no sound came out. I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder and I jumped away with a yelp. I looked up to the man that saved me. He looked to be in his 20's and his sympathetic blue eyes looked helplessly at me. He swiftly moved his hand through his brown hair and proceeded to pick me up. This time, I didn't flinch away from his touch but let him carry me back to the street bridal style. But we didn't even reach his black Range Rover before I blacked out in his arms.
