The three triplets laid in their room silently; they were dying with boardom. Triston had organised his marble set, Reef had just finished the whole book library from the study and Blanches phone ran out of charge! There was nothing do to.
"Huuuuhhhhh" Blanche sighed.
"Huuuuhhhhh, what?" Reef replied.
"Just Huuuuhhhhh" She finished. Blanche looked around the large room trying to find something to do. "Our birthday is next week!" She announced.
"Yes, we know," Triston randomly replied. She nodded silently. "But we haven't decided on a birthday party!" She replied trying to start a conversation.
"Yes! That's what we will do! Plan our Birthday party!" Reef jumped up with excitement whilst he said that. "So how about a book club? That would be a good party!" Reef continued hopefully. "What? We are not having a book club! What are we gonna do, swap books!" Blanche angrily replied. "Yes actually that's exactly what I was thinking!" Reef mummered awkwardly. "I know! How about a disco! We can wear all our casual clothes and dance till we drop!" She announced, proud she stopped the whole book club idea. "I'm sorry but that's even worse! I'm not 'dancing till we drop!'. That's ridiculous, I'm sorry!" Reef stubbornly explained. He didn't want to have a disco; he wanted to have a sensible, calm book club!
"Well it's certainly better than a boring old book swap!" She replied. Her tone started to become more firm. "No it's not! It's not boring! And how would anyone be idiotic enough to have a disco party. Oh wait, you!" Reef noted. Blanche looked disgusted. "We are having a disco!"
"Book club!"
"Disco!"
"Book club!"
"DISCO!"
"BOOK CLUB!"
"Stop!" Triston shouted. Even though it wasn't extremely loud, it was probably the loudest he's ever been.
The two of them stared at him in amaze; when had Triston learnt to speak up? "They're both good ideas, they are. But we're not going to enjoy them if we are like this, don't you agree?" He softly said. They both nodded silently. "Do you remember our 6th birthday? When we had a poolparty. That was fun wasn't it?" Triston carried on.
"Oh yes! A poolparty! We can play in the pool! Oh and get the water slide out. And the slip, slip, slide! And the bouncy castle! And then we will have a barbaque. Finally, we will all snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie!" Blanche jumped up with excitement. So it was settled; they were going to have a poolparty.
It took several days to prepare. The fact that Aura didn't agree on it made it even harder; she just simply said "No, it would be to much of a hassle,". Blanche hated that so much. "I bet you if it was Rustie you'd say yes!" Blanche bitterly replied. Aura knew that it was correct; she just didn't want to admit it. "Sometimes I wish you weren't so rude to me," Aura replied. "Sometimes I wish you weren't my sister!" Blanche quietly mumbled to herself as she stormed off. Luckily, Aura didn't hear.
"Well, once again, Aura has ruined our idea!" Blanche explained to Reef and Triston. "It's ridiculous how she favours Rustie over us!" She carried on. The boys nodded in agreement. "Wait a sec! Rustie! Aura won't say yes to us but she'll say yes to Rustie!" Blanche cunningly said...
The three of them quietly crept into Rusties room; where he was, not suprisingly, playing on his xbox 1! "Aaaaahhhh! Rustie! We've been looking for you..." Reef started. Rustie stared at them in utter confusion. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Well, um, um, do you like swimming parties?" Blanche quickly continued. "Well I've never been to one but yeah..."
"So would you like to go to one this year?" Triston quietly mumbled.
"Sure!"
Ok, all you need to tell Aura is this..."
Aura tried to block Rustie's urge to talk to her, as she was in the middle of sowing up a new dress. However, she just couldn't do it. "Aura! Aura!"
"What Rustie! I'm in the middle of a dress!"
"Oh please listen!"
"Fine!"
"I love pool parties!"
"Do you now?"
"May I just ask, what are the triplets doing for their birthday?" Aura paused for a moment. "A poolparty!" She replied trying to please Rustie.
"Ok pay up my sweets! You're having your stupid pool party now!" Rustie impatiently cried as he rushed into their bedroom. Blanche pulled out 3 strawberry chew-its from her pocket and tossed them at him."Thanks Rustie! And just to let you know it won't be stupid, it'll be great!" Blanche finished as she triumphantly walked off.
The day had finally come. What day? The day of the triplets birthday. They'd had promised to Aura that they would organise everything apart from the food and drink; so the three of them got up extra early. At 5:06AM to be precise! Blanche was in-charge of decorations; Reef was in-charge of setting up the bouncy castle, slip slip slide, the pool, the water gun fight and the water slide; Tristons job was to test out everything and make sure it was all working and pick decent music. They had agreed on a movie, flushed away. It was their all-time favourite!
Blanche entered the garden to check how things were coming on; she had also finished the indoor decorations so there was no need for her to be in the house. She came out to find Reef struggling with the bouncy castle and Triston fiddling with the stereo.
He placed a CD in it and it came to her attention that the song 'Little Fang' was playing.
" No!! Proper songs, Triston!" She quickly removed the CD and placed in '#Selfie'. 3 beats in and Reef came over.
"No! You-(huff)-said-proper-(huff)-music!" he said between gasps.
He put in 'Best Classical Music of All Time'.
As quick as a lightning bolt came Blanche's reply: "NO!" "This is ridiculous, No classical music!" She cried.
"I know how about ABC!" Triston replied. The other two burst out laughing. Suddenly, the three of them started to tug and pull the stereo around. As it came flying over to Blanche, she kicked it with her leg! It went flying, fling, flying! CRASH!
"Oh, for God's sake Blanche, what will we do now? The stereo's broken!" Reef shouted. Blanche blushed a rosy pink colour. "Well, we could use my OrangePhone...." She gestured trying to convince them to forgive her. "Well I guess, BUT YOUR DOING THE REST OF IT!" Reef replied angrily. "Ugh, fine."
Reef stormed off back to the bouncy castle and started struggling again. Triston sighed and helped him.
After 45 minutes of searching, she finally found some music that they'd all enjoy. She smiled. As she looked around the large garden, she realised the Pool, water slide, bouncy castle, the water gun fight and the slip, slip slide was all set up! "Wow! I'm impressed! I've found some music and I've attached my phone to the speaker!" She explained. She slapped the speaker on. "I know it's a little old, but we all like NOW83, don't we?"
"YEAH!"
The first track came on.
"OPPAN GANGNAM STYLE!!"
"Ok! We've heard enough, we have to carry on setting up!" Reef cried.
"But there nothing left to plan!" Triston quietly replied.
"Well Aura said we couldn't do the food or drinks, but who cares about Aura! Come on!" Blanche explained; The three of them giggled as they ran into the house.
They went to the fridge and got out some lemonade, pink lemonade, juices and water. Whilst Blanche made some cocktails, Reef went to the fridge to go and get some more food. He got out some cucumber and carrot sticks. He also got some cheese and pineapple to go on cocktail sticks. Triston went to the cupboard to go and get some crisps. He got out Skips, Wotsits and Monster Munch.
"The cake!" They all cried at once. Blanche had completely forgot about it; she never forgets about a cake! She tossed out a bowl and a wooden spoon. She got the flour and the eggs and the sugar and the milk and the salt. She poured it all in and whisked it at top speed. Whilst Blanche made the cake, Reef set to work making fondant models of the triplets jumping into the pool, held up by little bits of wire. It looked amazing.
So the cake was done. They all flopped onto the couch silently. "So we've done everything except the Barbaque which Aura said she would do," Reef explained. They all nodded. "I'm so excited but what time does the party start?" Blanche curiously asked.
"Well it's now 9:00AM, so it's in one hour! We better get ready!" Reef explained. They all ran up stairs into their room.
Blanche started texting the guests about the party and let them know that it was starting soon. Triston picked out the swimming costumes. Reef puffed up the inflatables. It was time for the party. Crunch, Rustie and Aura came running down the stairs ready for the party; Triston was waiting by the garden entrance. "The party awaits you," he explained as they ran outside.
Reef was already swimming around in the pool. He was testing the inflatables for holes. Blanche was shaking her presents; checking them for the sound of an OrangePhone 7 box. Rustie was filling his small mouth with Flaming Hot Monster Munch to see if they could make him breathe fire. Crunch was sitting in the corner, chewing on a carrot stick. Triston finally came out as he sprinted and jumped into the pool. Aura thought it would be nice to join in so she slipped down the slide into the pool. She giggled.
Reef quietly grumbled. He knew Triston hadn't meant to get his face soaking wet, but it was still rather annoying. Triston giggled. "You snooze, you lose!" Reef smiled; he jumped on top of Triston in the pool and they started rolling about. Then came Blanche. "Jaranamo!"They discovered a large flat float, all jumped on it and decided to recreate the Titanic in the pool.
Rustie was the first to try out the water guns; he fired at everyone not missing one of them. "How do you have such good AIM, Rustie?" Aura asked, giggling.
"I don't know but it's really fun! Watch your back, baddies! Here comes Rustie Bond!"
He immediately turned to Reef.
"'Specially you, my arch-nemmysis!"
Reef laughed. "It's pronounced nemesis."
"So, mister smartypants? Duzzit really matter?"
"Wait a sec, how do you even know about bond? It's too inappropriate for your age!" Aura lectured.
"Well if I'm your arch nemesis, then we must have a fight! A fight to the death!" Reef explained. They all giggled. He got out of the pool and grabbed the pistol. There was a lot of water removed from the pool and put into the pistols. Most of it went on their giggling faces. They started circling round eachother; this wasn't any old water gun fight, this was a serious fight. Aura cried 3,2,1! Fight!
Reef got into his inflatable pool duck steed and Rustie got on his pink lilo. They both tried to shoot each other off their inflatables. After a variety of shots from the water guns, Reef fell to the bottom of the pool. Rustie had won!
However, the rest of them weren't going to let Rustie and Reef have all the fun. They each grabbed a gun and a war began. Triston targeted Reef.
Rustie targeted Blanche.
Reef targeted Aura.
Blanche targeted Crunch.
Crunch targeted Triston.
Aura actually targeted Rustie!
They each claimed their own territory. Blanche, not surprisingly, dibbsed the bouncy castle; she was the princess of the castle. Reef ran over to the food table; no one was getting his Monster Munch! "Reef! You can't bail a battle!" Blanche cried with anger. Reef sighed, then ran back to the fight. "Duhh, I wasn't fricking bailing! I was protecting my food!" groaned Reef. "Well not anymore! Let's join forces! I'm princess Blanche and your general Reef," she explained. He giggled and shook his head.
"Eww, girls! No WAY!!"
Blanche rolled her eyes. Reef ran back to the battle and bombed into the water; Aura then became soaking wet. She sulked. "Reef! I was starting to become dry!" She moaned.
"Oh pull it in Aura! It's only a bit of water, not poison!" Blanche replied staring at her. Aura groaned and carried on. She jumped into a dry space and squirted Blanche between the eyes.
"Hey!"
"That's what you get for being cheeky!"
The day went on as splashes of water went everywhere. It turned 2:00PM- Aura looked irritated. "Right! I'll start the BBQ!" The sausages sizzled in the sunlight. Aura flipped the meat up and back onto the grill. Everyone else was running about carelessly.
Blanche winked. "You know what time it is... VLOG TIME!"
Rustie squealed. "Eee! I get to be FAMOUS!" "No! If you post pictures all over the Internet, people will see it!!!" Aura cried with fear.
"Um well, I don't actually release anything on it cause of everything. I sometimes pretend to be a pop star with an amazing blog," Blanche replied looking embarrassed.
"Come on guys! It's a party lets enjoy it!" Rustie cried. Reef was waddling around in his rubber pool duck, laughing and making duck noises. The sound of Reefs quacks got to Blanche. "Reef! Shut up! I'm trying to sunbathe!" She growled. Reef laughed when he heard Blanche. "GOOD FOR YOUUU!" Blanche rolled her eyes then stormed off. Triston suddenly piped up. "This is my birthday too so STOP ARGUING!"
He was interrupted by Aura calling everyone over. "The barbecue is ready!" she shouted.
Rustie galloped over and piled his hot dog with every sauce imaginable- From mustard to strawberry sauce, he'd use anything! Crunch grabbed a protein shake and sipped it. Reef gnawed on a chicken drumstick. "Oh Reef you pig!" Blanche screamed whilst gagging. He tore off a piece of the drumstick and threw it at her face. Her head instantly went down as she turned to Aura hoping for Reef to be told off; "Reef! Apologise now! That was rude and mean!" Aura snapped. "Let's just go watch a movie." muttered Triston.
They all picked up a couple of snacks from the barbaque and headed inside to the lounge. Aura placed the CD in the DVD player and joined the others all squished on the same couch. Blanche cheered. "FLUSHED AWAY! BEST. PARTY. EVER!"
After an hour and a half of flushed away Aura realised everyone has fallen asleep except her; she giggled. This was possibly the best day ever.
