"So young that all I could do is just to gaze and to wish at the myriad stars twinkling brightly at the crimson blue skies."

That night, I was at home, alone. My parents went out to have a romantic fine dining at a Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of town since today is Sunday and tomorrow is Heart's Day. Dad prepared a surprised gift to Mom which I also don't know. So, the lonesome bratty me stucked up here in my room because I found staying downstairs totally creepy.

I decided to read the book that my Mom's old-maiden sister had bought me a week ago at the Book Fair Bazaar but later I found it quite boring so I threw it up. Then, I mounted off my bed and headed to the study table located near the window to log on the PC. I went to the browser and searched my favorite social media then typed my E-mail address and passcode to access.

Totally infamous of me that I only got no friend request, 1 unread message and 3 notifications at all for two weeks without logging in.

I didn't tap the message as well as the notification buttons rather I scanned my news feed. Seeing most of my friends were posting about tomorrow's BIGGEST moments of their lives.

Well, I envied them. They could easily find one best shot for date.

I was in a deep thought when I heard the door buzzer echoed to the house. Outmindedly, I called out for Mom. Suddenly, I remember she has gone out with Dad. So, I had no choice but to go downstairs and to meet whoever outside the frontdoor.

Stomping feet, I descended on the wooden staircase.

I reluctantly opened the door matching with my left eyebrow raised. I didn't care if I looked totally bratty because for me, I am awesome and I felt shitty being stucked up at home lonesome, with my infamous stats in FB and this unexpected visit---

I hadn't finished my antagonizing lines when my almond eyes went OO and my pale face aglow but these lasted only in a flicker of moment.

"Mom told me that your mom called her up requesting me to accompany you here",informed by very, very, very gorgeously handsome twenty-two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. O'Connor, our neighbor, Jimmy.

I was certainly at the state of shock and wonderstruck by his appearance that all I could do was to nod, then shrugged and uttered,"Fine".

I knew it was a bratty remark but I'm glad because I had saved myself up from complete embarassment.

He just crashed the forming clouds above my head when he told me," I don't want to be here any but just being obedient to a request. I'd like it if you're that bratty to me for the whole time because I willn't last long here either".

I was having my momentum on what he'd said. Then, I decided to outwit him when he continued.

"So, can I enter now? In your house? Before Mom could see us and ask me why it took so long for me to enter. You know, I hate many explanations" he added with an expressionless face.

I absent-mindedly stepped back twice to give him an entrance.

"Ahm,s-suit yourself. I'm just upstairs in case something's up", I stutterly uttered.

What in the world is that? I never stutter in my almost fifteen years of living not only in this lifetime.

I was ascending back to my room when I paused on the second stair seeing him wearing the same expressionless face. I noticed him looking at our home's interior, sort of familiarizing. Then, he headed to his northwest and comforted himself on the couch and shut his eyelids closed.

Aren't you supposed to be in your room now?", he said out of blue while his eyes still shut.

Oh.Oh.

I was greatly embarassed for being shamelessly caught-in-the-act revered him. Yet, I didn't want this one to spoil me.

Without a word, I turned my back and annoyingly stompped way up but my left foot slipped off, out-balanced, I fell down and descended on ground floor.

Ouch! Such a bad night indeed.

I immediately looked at his way. Still closed eyes. But with aching feeling I managed to rise from a fall. I walked slowly like an eight-month baby who starts learning how to walk.

I decided to go to the kitchen to get an icebag. Just as never expected, a scary dirty freaking mouse headed to my way. I found no way at all but to scream, "Ahhhhhh! Help! Ahhhhh! Momm---".

With that, I saw Jimmy rushed in. His expressionless face before was now void with concern upon seeing me sitting on the wooden floor. He went near me to checked out what had had happened.

He concernedly inquired, "What happened? Are you okay?".

"Oh my gosh, noooo", I replied looking frightenly and continue,"I just fell down the stairs. Just can't walk perfectly good when a mouse all came up heading to me." I finished confessing squeaking at the last statement.

He didn't respond though he looked at me intently and he burst into laughing.

I looked at him with sharp eyes,"Hey, seriously? Did you find my fall back and mouse trap moment funny?", I retorted out of disbelief from his reaction.

Smiling he said," You're irresistably stubbornly brat, Joni which will never change despite what happened to you. So, how do you think I can help you now?"

So, that was it. He bullied me because I'm a monotonous brat? Wait a second. He knows my name? I can vividly remember that I haven't introduced myself earlier.

He blew my thoughts away when he asked me once again,"Do you still need help?"

"Yes, I need some as what you can notice on my present condition."

"Okay. So how can I serve you by the way?"

"Fine. So, please get me an icebag with ice and after help me to go upstairs."

Without a word he left and minutes after he went back with an icebag. He handed it to me.

"Thanks", I genuinely respond to his obedience.

"Welcome. It's my task to help you on your immediate needs because I was told to do so. You should take a rest in your room now" he replied sounding half sarcastic and half concern.

With all my might, I stood up and manage to be still but a couple of seconds apart I fell flat.

"Ouch!", I uttered out of pain.

"Don't stand anymore because obviously you can't, even if how hard you try", Jimmy lectured me.

He lifted me up like a baby. Now, I am on his arms when he commanded, "Put your arms around my neck that would be helpful."

Awkwardly, I just did what he ordered. I was tired to say anything but stayed in his arms because I find tranquility right now. I shut my eyes. I can feel we are ascending. He paused, I heard the doorknob clicked. He continued to move eight steps and I was now feeling the soft fabric behind me.

The moment is over. I opened my eyes and I was surprised seeing Jimmy standing while looking at me. He was about to open his mouth to state his reason when the door buzzer filled the room.

Since, I can't walk he left the room with the door halfway open and he rushed down.
