Kaoru smiled at his twin. "Here are my spare clothes, now wear these and run." The knight banged on the door, attempting to get in to kill his King. "Don't turn back, don't stop, don't talk to anyone." It was his fault, his problem, his hands who killed the girl. Who killed his love, Haruhi. He should be the one punished, not Hikaru. "Don't you worry, we look the same in every way." Kaoru kissed his twin's forehead and pushed him toward the secret door. "No one shall ever notice that you got away!" Hikaru opened his mouth to protest, but Kaoru was already on his way to the door. "Go, my King. I swore I'd protect you, no matter what. And that's precisely what I intend to do." With one last look at his brave twin, Hikaru left the castle.
The knights Honey, Mori, and Prince Tamaki and some other soldiers finally burst in to see Kaoru standing there like his brother would, smiling calmly, proud and strong. 'Oh, now I am the King and you the escapee...' Honey pointed his silvery white sword at Kaoru's throat, wishing for nothing more than his blood to stain it crimson. "King Hikaru Hitachiin! You have been convicted for treason against the Green Treaty and the murder or Princess Haruhi Fujioka. Come with us and you will be unharmed until execution." The small blonde shouted. Tamaki glared at the redhead. 'We are twins like two boats on the stormy, sad seas...' "And if I don't?" He asked with a mischievous smile. Mori appeared behind him and forced Kaoru on his knees. 'They say you are a noble of vice and disdain...' "What a disrespectful man!" Kaoru growled. He was hauled out of the castle, everyone cheering at the capture of the Prince.
'Then I am evil as well, with the same blood in my veins...'
Hikaru shuffled through the crowd in his cloak, hood covering his face. 'They can't kill Kaoru...they have to know it isn't me by now!' Tamaki stood at attention on the raised platform, watching the crowd roar for the blood of the man who killed his precious Haruhi. Suddenly the doors to the church opened, Honey pulling a young man out. 'No, no, no!' The young-looking man pulled Kaoru onto the platform and held his head under the blade of the guillotine.
'This is all my fault! Kill me instead!'
"This is the execution of King Hikaru Hitachiin!"
'Stop it, stop it!'
"The man who tormented us for all of his 17 years!" The crowd screamed its approval. Kaoru's eyes widened as he saw his brother. Hikaru gulped and smiled bravely at his brother, faintly remembering once his brother had said that the last sight he wished to see was his smile. Kaoru blinked at his brother. "And now its time to end his reign. Any last words or prayers, dear King?" The blonde asked with a sneer, lightly tugging Kaoru's hair, just enough to irritate him. Kaoru smiled as the clock struck three.
"Oh, its snack time."
SCHLICK!
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Hikaru stood at the harbor with a small glass bottle in hand. "Why, God?" He asked toward the heavens. "Why did you make me realize too late?" The former King sighed. "I only hope he is an angel watching over someone right now. He did give his life for me after all." Hikaru looked at the small bottle. "I suppose its time for one last game, right Kao-chan?" He asked, tears spilling freely. The boy threw the bottle in.
"So that maybe if we could be reborn again someday..."
"If that happened, I'd like it if we were twins again."
Hikaru sharply turned around. Was that his brother's voice in the wind? No way. Well...anything is possible...
The two redheaded twins smiled at eachother as they woke at the same time. "Time for school, Hika." "Okay, Kao. I had a weird dream..." "What was it?" "Well, I was a prince and you were my servant and you gave your life for me." "Wow, I had the same!" Kaoru smiled and kneeled on one knee. "Oh, my King, you have me as your faithful servant alone. We were twins torn apart, when our fates should have shown." The two laughed lightly as Kaoru continued. "Oh, my King, to sheild thee from dangers deadly call, I will sin, I will kill, I will sacrifice my all."

"Okay, Rengae, how would we remember all that, especially from a dream?" "Yeah, and whats with evil-Honey? I mean look at that face!" Hikaru and Kaoru glanced at the childish blonde. Then they noticed all the girls sobbing. "That was so sad!" "Why would they do something like that?!" "Poor Kaoru!" They could even see both Mori and Haruhi hiding tears behind their hands and Tamaki sobbing freely. "Well, its a good story nonetheless. Ah, well." Kyoya slinked out of nowhere. "I'm selling these." "Ooh, they're good enough to sell?" "Of course." "Wooooow." The twins glanced at eachother, smiled those identical smiles and laughed. But as the club wound down Hikaru could hear the waves of the ocean.
He decided to take a trip to the beach near his home with his brother. "Hey, Hikaru! Look, a message in a bottle! Lets see." Hikaru nodded and opened the small glass bottle. He gasped. He recognized this. Kaoru looked over. "Whats it say?" Hikaru gulped and stuffed it in his pocket. "Not in any language I've ever seen." Though he understood it perfectly. He took his twins hand and they raced back to the house for dinner.
"I wish that maybe, if we could be reborn again someday, it would happen so that we had a second chance to be twins again.
