I carried on with my duties at the cashier counter until... …
"Can I have some cookies also? I forgot to add it in when I was ordering."
I looked up and guess what?
I saw him.
Yes, him.
Kim Seokjin.
"Yeah sure. That will be 4,101 won." He passed me the money and I receive it from him. I could see that he was looking at me and of course, my name tag.
"Thank you, sir. We'll serve the drinks and the cookies you've ordered to you shortly. Your table number or VIP room number?"
"VIP room 3." I noted down on the receipt and was about to walk to the little kitchen we had at the back of the shop when he suddenly asked: "Are you Min YoonHae? Min YoonHae from the chat?"
"Oh. Yes. You're... Seokjin?" I asked, pretending I didn't regconize him.
"Yes. Oh finally. I get to see you in person. You're beautiful." He complimented.
"Ermmm... Not as you do?" I let out a nevous laugh. But he sure looks prettier than me.
"Nah. Did you see your brother? He came in with us just now." He pointed out. That's when I realized I didn't see my brother.
"I didn't. I was wiping the counter top before you guys came in. Plus, you guys were hanging all your heads down. So it's somewhat difficult for me to see it."
"Oh. Sorry for that. And sorry for not chatting with you recently. Our schedule was too tight for me to squeeze in time to chat."
"It's okay. I understand." Somehow, I felt lonely inside my heart. Maybe because I didn't get to see my brother for weeks. Even if he goes home, we won't be able to meet. I will be working at the café when he reach home.
"Do you need me to call your brother out? You must've missed him a lot, huh?" He suggested,but I kindly rejected it. I don't want my brother to see me working here, but I wish he knows it. It's a tough choice. I'm afraid if he knew I work here, he won't patronize this café anymore. I have a feeling he hates me. But I always never figure out why.
"Okay then. I shall go in now. Or they'll start to ask me where I've been to. Bye." I waved to him.
"YoonHae ah, bring these to VIP room 3." Madam Kang, the lady boss said.
What!? Me!?
"TaeIn ah~ Can you do it for me? Please~"
"Sorry, YoonHae~ I can't. Madam Kang just asked me to mop the floor. Sorry~" TaeIn went on with her mopping.
Well, what has to come, will come eventually. Face it, Min YoonHae.
I carried the tray with their orders to thier room. I took a deep breathe before knocking on the door. Once I opened the door, the first person I saw was my brother. He was shocked that I'm working here.
I'm so dead now.
I went to the middle of Jimin and TaeHyung to place the tray on the table.
"Oh! YoonHae ah! Why are you here?" TaeHyung asked after I've placed the tray on the table.
"O-Oh. I'm working here."
"Oh~ I see. Thanks for sending us the drinks and cookies~"
I took a glance at my brother before leaving the room. He looked disappointed, sad or I should say mixed feelings. I closed the door and walked to the cashier counter.
After a few hours, they came out from the VIP room. All of them bowed slightly as an appreciation so I return them with a smile and a bow too. That's when I saw my brother, again. His eyes tells me everything.
"Home. After you end work."
"Yes."
We talked through our short eye contact.
I knew I'm in trouble.
