"Where you going sexy" Alex said wrapping his arms around my waist while I comb my hair. "To have lunch with a friend" I said. "Kadijah?" He asked. "Nope" I said. "Uhmm should I be worried?" He asked letting me go. I turned around and look him into his eyes. "Do you want to be worried?" I asked him. "No. I want to know who you going out with." He said. Is jealous? I asked my self. "Look babe there is nothing to be worried about. I'm just meeting him for lunch and then come home. Maybe 2 or 3 hours from now" I said. "So its a guy huh? He said folding his arms. "Yes and like I said nothing to be worried about." I said moving closer to him putting my arms around his neck. "Kiss me" I said. We kissed for about 2 mins until I pulled away. "Fine go have fun. Is he coming for you?" He asked. "No I'm taking a cab." I don't know if he wants guys coming here. "Can you drive?" He asked. "No." I said. "Well clear your schedule for tomorrow. You getting lessons" he said kissing me and walking away. Yaaayyy. Gonna learn to drive. The taxi service called said the cab was outside. I grab my purse and left.
Andrea POV
"Hey" I said hugging Nicole. "Wassup, been awhile" she said. "Yea and if I didn't ask to see you I probably wouldn't have" I said."well-" she started to say. "Well nothing" I said. "Andre don't be mad, I had school and work" she said. "I'm not mad ma, I understand just messing with you" I said. I could see her face lighten up. "Hope you don't mind but I ordered your food for you." I said. "Awww thank you." She said. The waitress brought our foods and we dig in. "You know I don't know much about you right?" She said. "And neither do I, like couldn't you tell me you was my boy girl?" I said. I was shocked that day when I was at king house and she showed up. "Yea about that. We just started dating. Not even a week yet." She said. "Oh ok. So how long you know him?" I asked. "A month. I was undergoing a little situation" she said. "Well that's good" "so I guess you are one of them?" She said. "One of them?" I asked a bit confused. "Yea, thug?" She said. "Oh." I said laughing. "Well yea" I added. "Oh ok, just be careful" she said. "Thanks ma. " I said. "So what's up with you? How you been" she asked. "Good. Got a baby on the way. Not ready yet though" I said truthfully. My girlfriend told me she was Pregnant a few days ago and she scared to tell anyone cause she don't wanna be judged Or nothing. But I hope she ain't thinking bout that abortion shit. "Why is she ashame having a child is like the best gift. Well that's what I heard." She said. "Well she's young" I said. "How old is she?" Nicole asked. "18" I said. And how old are you "21" I said. "Oh yea that's kinda young but it isn't the end of world. Are you excited?" She asked. "Hell yea I am. I'm suppose to be taking her to the doc to get the official test done. She should be here any min" I said. "Oh ok. Do I get to meet her?" She asked then added "or is she the bitchy type that don't want no girl around there man? " "I think she is insecure if that's what you meant by bitchy but you could meet her. She could use a friend like you. I don't like her other friends" I said truthfully. Those two other girls maybe jealous or whatever of her but its her friend so I'm not gonna break up a friendship because of my instincts. "Here she is, don't say nothing about the pregnancy" I whispered to her.
"Hi" Roselle said shyly. "Hey babe" I said standing giving her a hug. "This is Nicole, Nicole this is my girlfriend Roselle" I said introducing them. "I know her " said Roselle. "Oh you do? From where" Nicole asked. "Aren't you Stacey's cousin?" Roselle asked. "Oh yea! What's up?" Nicole said. "Nothing much holding on" Roselle replied. "Oh ok. Well I see you guys have already met" I said. "Yea but it wasn't official" Nicole said. "Are you ready babe?" Roselle asked. "Yea sure. Twas nice seeing Nicole. Don't be a ghost in my life" I said " I won't" she said laughing "nice to officially meet you roselle." She said then left.
Roselle POV
"How long you been friends with Nicole?" I asked. The last thing I need is someone taking Andre away from me. Only God can explain the love I have for him. "I don't know. Maybe a couple weeks I guess." Andre answered. "Hmm" I mumbled. "She is nothing more than a friend babe. I promise. I'd love if you become friends with her too, she is really nice" Andre said. "Well I'm friends with her cousin and she don't like her so that's not gonna happen" I said honestly. Stacey would kill me if she found out I was friends with her. I'm not about leave 5 years of friendship for something I'm not sure about. I'll never go against my girl wishes. "You know I don't like your friends. I just get a bad vibe from them especially stacey. By the way have you told them yet?" Andre asked referring to my pregnancy. "I just want to make sure first babe " I said.
"Roselle Brown" the doctor called out. I stood and went to her. We went around the back and she a did a regular check up. "Well we got good news Ms. Brown" the doctor said walking and closing the door. "Before you go on I want my boyfriend in Here with me" I said. "Oh sure, what's his name let me go get him." "His name is Andre, he's wearing a blue stripe shirt" I said to be specific. She left and came back with him. He stood by my side with his arms around me. "You ok babe?" He asked. "Yea I just want you to hear the results with me." I said. The doctor continued. "Well first your very healthy. No sickness no infections. And secondly, yes you are pregnant." I looked at Andre and he had the biggest smile I've ever seen. "Is that all" I asked so I could hurry and leave this place. "Yes Honey, do you have any questions" she asked. "How far along is she?." Andre asked. "Oh how could I not remember to say that but you are 6 weeks." She said happily.
"You ok babe?" Andre asked. How could I possibly be ok. "You don't seem happy about this" he added as we got in the car. I stayed silent. "Baby will you talk to me ." I let out a loud sigh. "Well I've been thinking and I wanna get an abortion" his facial expression change to one I've never seen before. Before he could say anything I quickly said. "If you care about my future you will let me do it." He started the car and drove off.
"Why are you driving around in circles" I asked. We have passed this build about four times already. He finally found a parking lot. He parked the car and got out. "Are you hungry" he asked. "No. I don't have any appetite" I said. "Well the baby have to eat something" he said. "I don't care" I said. He looked at me in disgust. He came and sat back in the car. "Why you wanna get an abortion Roselle? And don't tell me about this future crap cause I'm sure having a family is in that future" "yes but that was no time now Andre. What my family gonna think? What are people going to say especially my friends" "ok so what about you? What do you think? Is this what you want?" He asked. "Yes" I said avoiding eye contact. "So what about what I want? You ever thought of that." He said. I could see tears in his eyes. "I know but-" "no fucking buts Roselle!. You not getting an abortion and that's final." He said. The next thing I know drips of water fell from above on my skirt. Well I thought it was above but I was crying. He has never talked to me like this before. And he didn't even comfort me either.
We pulled up at my apartment 20 mins later. "I love you ok and I'm sorry for shouting at you. But please don't kill my child Roselle, you don't know how much this means to me" Andre said. "What about me?" I said in my mind. He kissed me on my cheek. I get out and left. "Why me lord?" I said looking at in the sky. My dad is gonna kill me for sure if I keep this baby. He did his best raising me and I don't wanna fail him.
Nicole POV
I walked back in the house within the next two hours as planned. Nobody was here. Its the weekend. What to do? I said to my self going up to my room. I texted Dijah to see what she was doing.
Me: hey baby . What you doing?
Dijah: what's wrong boo? I'm at my aunts house 4 hours away. I wanna come home.
Me: sighs. I'm bored I miss you.
Dijah: I miss you too sexy. I'll see you at school on Monday. Go hang with ya boo.
Me: k.
I texted Alex to see what he was up to.
Me: baby?
My phone begin to ring. It was Alex.
Me: yeah?
My king: wow that's how you answer your man?
Me: lol. Come home
King: aww ma baby miss me?
Me: yes
King: ok boo I'll be there in 10 mins.
He hang up after that. I took a quick shower and went downstairs. "Oh lord not today" I said when I realized Mrs. King was downstairs with company. "Well hello there. " a lady said smiling. "Hello" I said waving. "What are you doing here?" Mrs. King asked me. "I wonder how Alex would feel if I disrespect his mother?" I said to myself. "I live here Mrs. King" I said in an annoyed tone. "Who is this gorgeous young lady Maria?" Another lady asked walking in. "Another one of my son's fling" Mrs. King said. Fling huh. "And she was just leaving" she added. I was gonna go back upstairs but I'm gonna have some fun. "Actually Maria. Or should I say mom? I'm going into the living room to watch some tv" I said then continue to walk. "Just so you know my son does not tolerate any one disrespecting me or making me unhappy which is something you are doing right now so I suggest you start packing your stuff and leave before he comes and throw you out" Mrs. King instruct me after the ladies disappear. I looked at her and smile and continue my way to the living room. I turned the TV on and was looking for something to watch. "Didn't you hear me?" Mrs. King said standing in front of the TV. "Loud and clear" I said still scrolling through the channels. "Ladies" King said walking in the living room. He kissed me on my cheek which caused his mother to look at us in disgust. I turned my head so his lips were on mines and I went in for a kiss. "Alex I'm standing here!" Mrs. King shouted. "Hello mother" Alex said walking towards her to give her a kiss but she pushed him away. "I saw where your lips coming I don't want them on my skin" she said. Alex shook his head. "What's wrong with you mom" Alex asked. "You need to talk to that thing of yours. She has no manners and is been disrespectful to me" she said pointing at me. Alex looked at me for explanation "I didn't do nothing" I said kissing his lips again. "Your a Lil piece of-" "Ma!" Alex shouted cutting her off from what she was about to say. "Fine choose her over me. I'm sure your dad wouldn't be proud of this " she said walking out the room. "I'm sorry I really didn't do anything, I should have just stayed upstairs" I said apologizing. "Nah its fine babe. That's how she is" he said. "Get dress I'm gonna take you on the road" he also added. "Where we going?" I asked. "A track suit is fine we just gonna drive around" he said. "That sounds nice but I don't have one" I said. I only have a few piece of clothes. "Well dress in something simple. We going shopping" he said.
I ran upstairs and grab my purse. I threw on a sundress and some flip flops. "Ready!" I said walking down stairs. We walked out the house. We walked around the garage where I saw about 5 cars. "I never knew you had 5 cars!" I said shocked. "Oh I don't really use them all. Was planning on donating them but I don't know yet" he said. "Ok." I said. "Pick one" he said. "That one" I said pointing at a silver one. "This is the 2014 BMW M5" he said. I walked over to the passenger side while he retrieved the key from the safe. "Your on the wrong side" he said. "What?" I asked confused. "Your driving" he said sitting in the passenger side. "I told you I can't drive " I said. "I know I'm gonna teach you. So get in" he said. I rushed to the driver side and got in. "What's the first thing you suppose to do when you get in the car.?" He asked.
King POV
"Start it?" She asked. "Yes but no" I said to Nicole. "You put your seat belt on then check your Mirrors " she did as I said. "You know which one the breaks and the gas?" I asked. "Yea" she said. I put the car in drive. "Slowly put your foot on the gas." I said. And we were out. "Keep the car straight" I said. "Alex this is too much I can't do this" she said panicking. "Nicole if you let my car run off the road you gonna pay for it" I said sternly but I wasn't serious. She kept it straight and turned when she was suppose to. I set a GPS to the mall so she could follow the directions. An hour and a half later she pulled up to the mall. The mall is just 20 mins from my house. "See that wasn't so bad. We just need to work on your speed cause police might pull us over the next time for driving slow" I said laughing. "Shut up!" She yelled playfully hitting me.
Stacey POV
"Girl is that Nicole driving?!" Jessica said hitting me. I snapped my head in the direction she was pointing. "That bitch" I said out loud. I was tired of her parading around with what's mine. I should be king's girl. Not her. She ain't fit for it!" I said. Jessica totally agreed with me. "You know what I have a plan. It's time to start playing the good cousin" I said. I watched as they walked in the mall hand in hand. I wanted to slap the fuck out of her. I know for sure she would have gotten a beat dowb cause these other girls out here mean mugging her ass and I'm sure they would jump in.
"Nicole!" I called out with the fakest smile you will ever find. "Hey" she said dryly but I ignored that. "What's up cousin how you been?" I said hugging her. "I'm good" she siad looking confuse. I spotted her phone in her hands "oh good you have a phone. Lemme put my number in it" I said grabing it from her and put my number in. "So aren't you gonna introduce me?" I asked looking at her then at king. "I believe we have met several times" king said before she said anything. "Oh yeah, we made out the other night,I'll call you later we have so much to catch up on" I said hugging her.
"Girl when I grow up I wanna be like you" Jessica said laughing. "Don't wish to be. This is gonna take everything out of me. I feel the stress already" I said
Nicole POV
Should I be mad or was she just trying to piss me off. But he didn't say nothing to defend what she said. It must be true. I wonder if that's where he went when he said he had "work".
"Babe you ok?" Alex said snapping me out of my thoughts. "Huh? Oh yea" I said. "You sure?" He asked. "You want to tell me about the other night" I said. "What other night?" He asked. "What was Stacey talking about?" I said. "I don't know" he said. "What you mean you don't know, you didn't said anything to defend it if it was true." I said raising my voice. "First of all lower your tone. Secondly we both know the type of person your cousin is so she gonna say anything to make you feel bad. Look ma, I guess she talking about a month ago when I went to your aunts house for you." He said. Sighs. "Ok" I said and walked into another store. for the rest the time at the mall We were silent.
"You wanna get something to eat?" I said breaking the silence after an hour. "Whatever you want" he said. "Why the attitude?" I ask. "I don't have one" he said. While at the food court chilling we saw Ashley walking towards us. "Hi" she said dryly "hey" me and Alex said. She pulled out a chair and sat beside Alex. "Where is Amilia?" Alex said. "She is at my mom." Ashley said. "I'm coming for her tomorrow" Alex said. "Do you want me to drop her off?" She asked. "No that's not necessary I'll get her" he said. "So how's been engaged?" She asked looking at me. "Huh?" I asked. "You don't remember the other day your boyfriend proposed to you?" She said trying to refresh my memory on what? I don't know. She placed her phone down on table with a picture on it of me and Andre. "So who is this?" Alex said. Yea now I have his attention. "Its a friend and he was tying my shoe lace or something like that but he wasn't proposing. I hardly know him " I said defending my self. Ok I've had enough of today.
Monday at school.
Roselle POV
"Hey girl" Jessica said walking over to my locker hugging me. "Where you been over the weekend, you went MIA on us" stacey said. "I'm just sick" I said. "So you still sick?" Jessica asked. "Yea, its gonna be for 8 more months" I said. "Huh?" Jessica said blinking. "I'm pregnant" I whisper. "What!" Stacey yelled "for who!" She added. "My man" I said boldly. At least I had a man that love me. "Who Andre?" Jessica questioned. I nodded. "So you gonna get an abortion right?" Stacey asked. "I want to but Andre don't want me to" I said also telling them of his reaction over the weekend. "Well if you don't get that abortion you have no reason for living." Stacey said. "Well Andre said me and the baby will be fine so I'm not worried about nothing." I said confidently. Which is true I know Andre will make sure his first child is all set with everything. Even unnecessary things. "Well if you gonna choose some nigga over us then do that. We ain't friends no more" Jessica said. "I'm not choosing Andre over y'all. I just doing the right thing. Living with my mistakes." I said. "Well if that's the case then bitch be gone. This group can only hold three people." Stacey said. "So that's how its gonna be huh?" I said. "Yep." They said and walked off. "I know she was a ho from the get go" I heard one of them mumbled. All these years we been friends. I at least thought they would have been there for me. But I guess when you get in a shitty situation you know who your friends are.
