I am a commoner. As the word implies, a common person. I wake, I eat, I travel, I learn, I eat, I work, I eat, I sleep, repeat. Every day, the only thing that makes me feel better are my friends, whom I love to tease.
I was born a slight sadist. I enjoy teasing people. Sometimes I fantasize having a butler or a maid, maybe a contracted demon, all of whom hail me as master. I think it's pretty normal for people to ambition, hope to be the top of the pack, shine in the spotlight, someway, somehow. I'm normal, okay? Anyways, everyone loves the spotlight.
So when the chance came, I took it. Another teen, a stranger, was listening to music in the middle of the road. He drops something and bends to pick it up, unperturbed by all the honking. Naturally, a driver starts speeding towards them, charging through whatever stood in his way.
Drunk, insane, or escapee prisoner? I don't remeber. I do remeber life pausing like in a movie, mid jump. I pushed the other teen, who rolled away before turning around, angry at first.
Seeing me, their eyes widen. Extreme pain. Flickering lights. I had words prepared for my death, because I'm wierd like that. "Live life freely... if you're *coughs blood* I hid the million... under..." My voice becomes a mumble.
I don't really have a million, I just wanna see what would happen if I said that. Hm? Oh. I'm in pretty bad shape. So I'm a spirit now?
