Everyone was excited about the games but, Zeref was trying to find Mavis. Mira gave him some breakfast to eat. Pancakes. Which was Zeref's favorite.
He went to the table Natsu and his friends were at but, what paying close attention. He tripped his own feet. Trying to catch himself, his plate went right on top of Erza's, Smashing her strawberry cake she was eating peacefully.
Everyone turned quiet. Natsu had a look of fear as he stared at the red haired wizard. "What now?' He thought.
"I'm so sorry, Erza." He tried to apologize. He managed to look up at her. Her face red with anger.
"You... You destroyed my cake! Prepare to die!"
"What?" He said as she changed armor and swung a huge sword at him. He dodged it gracefully.
Her sword completely destroyed the table they were sitting up. Good was everywhere. Including... Including his pancakes.
He understood Erza's rage now. 'My pancakes...'
It was strange though. Everyone at the guild started fighting for the most craziest of reasons. The master just stood there like it was a normal everyday thing until he got up and started yelling at Natsu for destroying several tables.
"This is the third time I've bought tables these past two weeks! Stop destroying them all!"
Erza swung at the black wizard again. She almost hit him. He had to admit she can get quick scary even when she watched at the game. She was no where near as mad.
He decided then that he'd join the fun and find punishment from her destroying his pancakes.
He stands straight up and forms a black magic ball in his hand, "you destroyed my pancakes. I haven't had them in so many years. Prepare to atone for your sins."
Erza froze in her place. She sensed that the magic was powerful. Unlike anything she's ever felt. It was dark and evil.
He looked so calm like his spell was so easy. He didn't even have to call out his magic. He threw it at her just then. It was fast, she barely even dodged it. She watched as it bored a hole in the wall.
"Wow. That's impressive magic you got there."
Then master yells, "no! Not the wall too!" Master decided to end the bickering by turning huge. He went to smash the fire dragon slayer with his fist then Erza for starting the fight, then without thinking bis fist goes towards Zeref who he blames for ruining the guilds wall.
Zeref screamed as a dark black cloud started spinning around him stopped the master in his tracks. Natsu ran up to his brother, remembering that magic. If Zeref couldn't stop it, everyone was going to die.
"Kazuya! Please stop!" He watched as the dark Mage looked like he was in pain. Natsu walked into the cloud. It hurt but, his scarf was protecting him like before. He rests his hand on his brothers shoulder. He looked up at Natsu, his eyes red. "Zeref.... Please." He whispered.
The cloud disappeared and his brothers eyes were back to normal. Natsu falls to his knees and passes out, along with Zeref. Stopping the curse took a lot out of him but, he smiled knowing it can be.

'That magic. I've seen it before on tenroe island.' Grey was thinking about the memories there, 'Zeref...'
"Is grey okay?" Juvis asks the ice wizard.
"Zeref..." He whispers.
"I remember him too. When his eyes turned red, I knew it was him. He killed that God slayer who was in grimoire hearts." Juvia shivered from the memory.
"Master must not know it is him. We need to talk to him."
Grey and Juvia start to find gramps but, was stopped by Levi. "I heard you guys talking and you're right. It is Zeref."
"How do you know?" The water Mage asks
"When me and Natsu were at the library, I saw something. I didn't tell him though. It said Zeref... Zeref Dragneel."
"What? Dragneel? Does that mean they are related?"
"Yes but, I don't think they are actually brothers. Zeref must be his ancestor."
"I doubt Natsu knows..." Grey clenches his fight. "Let's go find gramps."
When they do. He doesn't look too happy.
"Hey gramps? What's wrong?" Grey asks.
"Just trying to figure out how to pay for the damage today."
Mavis was sitting next to him smiling. Seemed lost in her own mind.
"Us three need to talk to you about the new member."
The sixth master was worried now, "what about him?" He asked cautiously.
"He's not who he says he is. He's Zeref!"
Grey couldn't believe it. The first master and makarov seemed like they knew along.
"Why aren't you guys surprised?!"
"Because, we knew all along."
"You accepted him in this guild knowing entirely who he is? He's the enemy gramps!"
"And now he's a member of fairytail."
The ice Mage was so angry, he felt like he was going to explode. Right then elfman and evergreen walked in.
"Zeref is in this guild?!" Elfman yells.
"Shhhh... I don't want the entire guild knowing of this. I didn't know so many of you have seen him on tenroe island."
"You should've asked us before making him a member."
"Your answer would've been no. Trust me, I would've if I didn't have Mavis breathing down my neck to accept him." He glares at first master but she was lost in her own world. "Anyways, Natsu is happy and as been helping Zeref control it. I don't think Mavis was so wrong to accept him here. He can be really useful with the right training. I want all of you to treat him with kindness. I want him to feel like he's part of a family here. Is that understood?"
Everyone agrees except Grey. The ice wizard just storms out furious.

Zeref is startled awake. He looks around. There's while walls and he's on a bed. He looks at Natsu next to him in another bed.
"Hey Kazuya!" It was a blue haired girl. "I'm Wendy! I'm glad your up, now I can try and heal you the rest of the way." She rests her tiny hands over him and they start to glow.
"What kind of magic is that?" He ask her.
"Its healing magic. I'm a sky dragon slayer." She smiles sweetly at him and he smiles back.
"So how's Natsu?"
"He was up earlier but, your magic took a lot out of him. He's still healing. Are you guys really brothers?"
He nods.
"Wow, but you never learned dragon slayer magic?"
"I wish I did but, we were separated for a very long time. The last time I saw him he was younger than you."
"What happened to your guys parents? If you don't mind me asking..."
"It's alright. They died a long time ago. It was from a horrible plague."
"I'm really sorry."
"It was a long time ago."
"But still..."
She was very sweet and kind. He wished there was more people out there like her. The world would be so different.
"Anyways when you both are done healing, you, Erza, Gajeel, Grey, and Natsu are going to the beach to train. We went before and Lucy's celestial spirits threw a party for us for returning after seven years sadly though the time was different there than our world and we were only left with a few days to train. I hope nothing like that happens this year."
"And you guys still won the games..."
"You saw it?"
"Yeah, I always go to the games but that year was special."
"Because, Natsu was in it?"
"Yes. He's so strong and his magic is so pure. He uses it for his friends and that drives him to be stronger. Right when you think he's had enough, he comes back even stronger. Anyways, I feel a lot better. I think I'm going to go on a walk. Thank you Wendy."

Zeref sits down outside of mognolia. The grass dying around him. 'Being in a guild is so different than what I would've ever thought. Everyone cares so much for one another but, I'll never truly be part of that. If they knew who I was.... And what about Natsu? Would they still care for him if they knew the truth?'
Zeref could sense someone coming, "Mavis."
"Zeref. Remember when we met here before?"
"I remember."
She sits down next to him. He still couldn't believe he could see her.
"How can I see you?"
"Every fairytail member can." She smiles brightly at him. "I'm glad your a member now."
"I... I don't know if it's a good idea."
"It can be if you truly want it to. You have good in you. I still see what I saw then. A boy who's lost and who hates himself. After all these years, you haven't changed one bit."
She grabs his hand and he tries to pull away but, she holds on tighter.
"I don't want to hurt you."
"You won't. I'm a ghost."
"I'm so sorry I killed you..." His head hangs down low.
"I know you are. I saw you crying afterwards saying you shouldn't have fallen in love."
"I shouldn't have. You couldn't lived a long life with your guild but, I took it away."
"Zeref.... You weren't the only one in love. I was too, even after I knew who you are. I saw something in you. Despite your history. You are cursed with evil magic but, that doesn't mean you're evil. Natsu loves you and wants you to stay. I want you to stay, you belong here."
"I don't belong anywhere..." Zeref starts to cry.
"You are a fairytail member now. You are family now so you'll always be taken care of. Everyone is here for you, everyone will protect you. Don't let the darkness take you. Fight it and go towards the light. You always belonged to the light. It was just waiting for you to return."
With that Zeref rests his head on her shoulder letting his tears fall as she held him.
