Chris's PoV

I'd been sat at my usual desk for about ten minutes when Olivia sauntered into the room. She was wearing a shorter skirt than usual, matched with a revealing white camisole.

Yep. She was definitely wearing a push up bra; looks like she'd planned on getting my attention today.

"Awww Chrissy, you didn't give me a lift today!" she practically bounced across the room to sit on the desk in front of me.

"Liv, I just forgot yeah? Looks like you made it here in time. Did you get Harry to give you a lift?" I was asking her a loaded question. She knew I thought there was something going on between her and Harry, they'd been spending a lot of time together lately.

Olivia groaned and dramatically threw her head onto her lap

"Chris you'll be the death of me." She mumbled into her skirt.

"If you must know" she said, lifting her head whilst rearranging her hair "I came in with Gemma. I haven't seen Harry since Friday. This has to stop Chris."

I shook my head and turned round to talk to George who was sat at the table to my right.

"I'm not finished talking!" Olivia threw herself off the desk and walked up to me, placing a leg on each side of me and straddling my lap. "On Friday I was talking to Harry AND George. I arranged a special party just for you, for our two month anniversary. It was going to be dead romantic." She smiled at me and continued.

"But you didn't turn up. I waited all Saturday night for you, and you just didn't turn up." She leaned forward and whispered in my ear "Please don't be mad at me Chrissy. I can tell you've been distant with me lately. I've really been trying though. We can fix this."

I instantly felt guilty. I thought she'd been mad at me for other reasons, I didn't realise she had been arranging something special. She saw the reaction on my face and leaned forward to kiss me.

Mrs Gould couldn't have been in the room for more than a few minutes before she shouted, "Miss Bell go to your own chair now!"

Olivia laughed and shuffled forward on my lap. She started to rock backwards and forwards. I closed my eyes as Olivia whispered in my ear again "Let's give frigid Old Gouldy something to be jealous about".

"Quiet class! And for the last time, Olivia Bell get yourself OFF from Chris Willow's lap and save that for a different time and place!"

I opened my eyes as Olivia laughed and swung off my lap, standing up and straightening her skirt with one hand whilst sticking her middle finger up at Mrs Gould. I noticed that everyone's attention was on someone else at the front of the room, and looked up as George ran up past the rows of tables to the teacher's desk.

"Here, let me pick them up for you" he said while bending to pick the books of a girl who I was sure I'd seen before. Her hair was loose and rough, looking like she had just come from bed. She had smoky eyeliner and was dressed to kill.

A friend of Olivia? She sure looks like someone Liv would be friends with. Wait, that's not it...

Shit.

It's her.

Her eyes were staring straight at me with a look of hatred on her face. If looks could kill.

She quickly regained her composure, thanked George and turned to talk to Mrs Gould.

How is she here? Why is she here? I don't remember her saying anything about going to school here.

I groaned and leaned forward in my chair resting my head in my hands. This is not good.

Amber's PoV

Olivia. She's obviously not his sister, unless he's into incest. She looks nothing like him; for starters her hair is long blonde and really curly. Nothing like his dark hair.

"Here, let me pick them up for you"

Someone picking the books up from in front of me woke me up from my trance. I'm pretty sure it's the same one who shouted 'Stripper' at me earlier. I thank him without smiling and turn to the teacher.

"Are you sure I'm in the right class?" I say, hoping that I'm not.

"Miss Richards is it? Sit next to Miss Bell. "

Crap.

"I'd rather not, is there no where else-" before I can finish she looks up at me pretends to push me away.

"Richards, do I look like someone who cares? Go sit next to Miss Bell like I told you to. I didn't ask you to."

Ugh great, looks like I'm sitting next to Miss Barbie.

"I'm Olivia. Who are you?" she asked not even looking up at me. I sat down next to her, slamming my books down.

"I'm Amber, and I've been forced to sit next to you." I sounded more pissed of than I intended to, so gave her the biggest fake smile I could when she looked over her shoulder at me.

"Huh. Let me see your schedule" before I could answer she grabbed it and spent a few seconds reading it. She then grinned at me and slid it back over.

"Art and Gym. Only classes we share. You can wait for me after lunch outside the studios. I have a feeling we'll get along well." She said not entirely superficially. If she thought we were going to be friends she had another thing coming.

We spent the next hour and a half much the same. She asked me questions not really caring for the answers.

"Where'd you get your coat from?"

"My mother made it for me."

"Your dress?"

"My dad's girlfriend gave it me."

She then muttered something to do with peasants wearing hand-me-downs to which I replied in an icy voice "My mother designs and makes clothes, and I think you'll find the word for my dress is Vintage."

She didn't seem to notice that I had a problem with her. At one point she leaned over and sighed dramatically, slamming a hand on the pad of paper I was writing on.

"Do you have to join your letters when you write? It'd be easier for me to copy your notes if you don't, for god's sake."

When the bell rang indicating the end of the first lesson I gathered my things and practically ran to the door. I managed to make it half way down the corridor when a hand grabbed me from behind.

"Amber please can I talk to you?" it was Chris.

"No."

"Amber you're going the wrong way." He sounded tired.

"And how would you know?!" I hissed at him spinning around. He smiled at me and reached a hand behind his head, messing with his hair. At first I loved this little nervous response he had, but now it irritated me.

"Oh put your hand down" I snapped. He looked a little shocked but put his hands in his pockets.

"Amber. I really need to talk to you. And to answer your question, that way is the gym and sports centre. Gym isn't until this afternoon. Please let me walk you to..." he leaned forward to read my schedule that was on top of the books in my arms. "...English."

I closed my eyes and nodded.

"Where's Olivia?" I asked.

"Dunno. Told her I had to be somewhere."

I nodded.

As we walked down the corridor people stopped to try and talk to Chris. Guys nodded in his direction and girls giggled when he walked past.

"I thought me and Olivia were over. I was supposed to be with her on Saturday night." I stopped walking and stared at him.

"That's supposed to make me feel better?!" he grabbed my arm and pulled me along.

"Please Amber. I'm just saying I chose you over her. I didn't intend to see her again. Until this morning I hadn't spoken to her since Friday."

I stayed quiet waiting for him to continue.

"But... she said something today that made me think." He said looking past me. I had a feeling she was stood somewhere in the corridor behind me.

"Listen Chris, I'm going to save you the trouble. This morning when I saw you with her I wanted to scream. I can't walk away from you and watch you with her every morning. I'm going to wait for you to finish with Olivia. She's a complete airhead, a bitch and quite honestly I think you know that you need more. I can tell you're reluctant to leave her, but until you do; that bitch has competition."

I pushed him until he slammed into the lockers behind him and kissed him. I almost forgot how good a kisser he is. I pressed myself against him and then pulled away. I turned around and left him there looking breathless and surprised. Sure enough Olivia had seen it all.

A voice in my head was telling me to leave her alone but I couldn't help myself. I walked up to her, looking at the anger and shock on her face. I stopped at her side, looking like I didn't intend to stop. I turned my head to her and spoke an inch away from her ear.

"Olivia, just a warning- I play dirty." As I started to walk away I turned round to her and shouted "Oh, and ask him where he was on Saturday."

Sometimes you just have to be a bitch.
