few weeks later
the smell of pumpkin spice lattes laced the air and leaves crunched beneath feet of the people of my high school. fall is my favorite season, mainly because the weather is changing and i can wear hoodies all day everyday. but there was one thing i was dreading, homecoming.
of course, you already know how homecoming works. the preppy, snotty bitches are gonna walk around the gym as if they own the place and the jocks are gonna drool over the preps. average high school homecoming right there.
"BOO!" aubrie yelled, scaring the living hell out of me.
"don't do that, hoe!" i slapped her arm and she acted as if i had shot her mother.
"where's jack? thought you two were a thing." she looked around for the brown headed boy, failing to find him.
what she didn't know is that jack, a big fat fuckboy, and i were not on speaking terms. which is funny, because i was stupid enough to fall into his evil trap. last week, he called me over to his house to watch movies and cuddle. when i walked in, he sat there on the couch, making out with some popular chick named roseanna. we haven't talked since.
sure, i was still torn about it because i thought jack actually loved me. turns out it was just a one time thing i guess.
"you aren't gonna find him, aub. he's with roseanna." i sighed, staring down at my dirty black converse.
"i'll kill her. which weapon would you like me to use?" she said very nonchalantly.
"relax. i'm not into him anymore. i have my eyes on someone else.." i lied through my teeth. i didn't have my eyes on anyone besides jack himself.
sure, he was a heartbreaker and a player, but my teenage heart has something for him.
"umm, spill. right now."
"no. i'm not spilling anything. go make out with sammy or something, hoe." i laughed, playfully pushing her towards the building.
"i did that last night, but if you insist.." she chuckled, walking towards the group consisting of sammy, johnson, nate, and cameron.
"NO STOP THAT'S PORN." i screamed, earning weird stares from sammy's friend group and a random group of kids. i shrugged, grabbing aubrie's arm and pulling her into our first period class.
