I was sitting under a tree watching Blake, Lukas and Alejandro playing football with Jessika and Adriana. These guys were my friends, they were the people I spent my school days with and honestly, I loved it. I had the perfect life. Bad things hardly ever happened to me or the people I cared about. I had a gorgeous, sweet boyfriend, friends that would do anything for me no matter what, my family was okay, I didn't talk with them more than teenage girls normally do, there was no dramatic disease in my family as far as I knew, I could talk to anyone and my grades were on top. I was the captain of the cheerleaders and this was my senior year at college. Not to mention I was turning 18 in under a month.
I was thinking about how great my life was when the boys ran back to us after joking around with the football; Blake of course went straight to me and gave me a peck on the lips.
"Hey guys, I heard a new boy is coming today and he is joining your chemistry class, Lexie," Jessika said as Lukas laid his arm over her shoulders. Yes, they are a couple; Adriana and Alejandro are also together as a couple.
"In the middle of senior year?" I asked her, astonished that someone actually moves at this time of the year when they are in college.
"I've heard that he got kicked out from his last school because he kept getting into fights," Adriana added. I imagined a boy with a bit darker skin and leather jacket. Don't get me wrong, I am not a racist, but Alejandro used to get in a lot of fights and he is Mexican, which means he has the same type of skin color that I just imagined. He is different now though.
"Oh, we've got a bad boy over here," Alejandro joked and raised an eyebrow before smirking.
"Just like I like it," Adriana grinned at him before wrapping her arms around her boyfriend’s torso and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"Ey, I changed for you," he winked and kissed her again, letting the kiss linger a bit longer this time.
"Eww, PDA!" Lukas joked and hid behind Jessika.
"Like you haven't done anything worse," Blake punched him lightly on his shoulder. I chuckled at them before looking at Adriana.
She is gorgeous and kind. She is always honest no matter what the subject is and I can always go to her if I need something. Her Mexican look fitting her personality perfectly. She has long, dark brown hair, and brown beautiful eyes. She is a girl who can fit in everything. She has attitude and confidence which makes some people scared of her if she is angry. She is also quite the party girl. She never say no to a party.
Jessika on the other side doesn't have the same attitude as Adriana. She is more like the caring person who respects almost everyone. But she does have some confidence and I have to say, I am a bit jealous on her. Her dark, brown eyes that you drown in. Her long redish dyed hair that almost reached to her bum. Her long model legs and her ability to fit in every clothing that is available. She has a cute accent and big nerdy reading glasses which makes her only cuter and wears bowties, both under her chin and on her head. Not at the same time of course, but she is seriously addicted to her bowties. I once bought her a big bowtie for clowns and somehow, she found an outfit that she could use it with.
Alejandro, Adriana's boyfriend, has a different past than us. He came from Mexico a month after the senior year and came easily into a fight because of his temper. He fell in love with Adriana and she also fell in love with him but when her ex hit her, she promised herself not to get violent boyfriends. He changed for her, isn't that the cutest thing ever? He used to be in a gang back in Mexico, that's the reason why he have this big gang tattoo on his right upper arm. It is a black and white tattoo with a skull covered in flames and two knifes that makes a cross under the skull. He doesn't like talking about his past back in Mexico so we have decided to not ask him. I already know that he have been drug dealing and also been taking drugs himself. But he have changed now, all because of Adriana. I honestly think they will get married, even though they're only 18 years old now.
Jessika's boyfriend Lukas has been here since elementary school, they have both liked each other since God knows how long but none of them dared to take the first step, in fact, if it hadn't been for a party last year, I don't think they'd been together right now. They were both a bit tipsy and it ended up with Jessika spilling out everything to him while crying and Lukas never left her after that. He took her home so that Jessika's parents wouldn't find out that she had been drinking and the next day, they talked and came hand in hand when we met later that day, Lukas is such a sweet person, funny, random and cheeky. He have blue eyes with a shade of gray, dark brown eyes, almost black and an amazing body. His smile is just amazing and I swear he could be a model.
Then we have Blake. My sweet, caring boyfriend who I adore to the top of the world. He is such a gentleman and his blonde hair and blue eyes makes me smile just by seeing him. He makes me feel save whenever I am in his arms and he is just the perfect boyfriend. Girls are jealous that he picked me and that makes me even warmer inside. Blake came at the beginning of this year and I was the first person he talked to because his locker was beside mine. It all began with him asking me where the biology class were, I followed him to the door since I was going the same way and he came back to me at lunch time to "thank me". It ended up with us talking a lot more and then he asked me out for lunch somewhere more private and look where we are now. My parents adore his charm but my big brother Jamie thinks that he is too sweet, he thinks that a boy should be strong enough to save his girlfriend from whatever that comes up but I honestly feel safe with him.
So there you are. This is my group of friends and I swear I could take a bullet for them and I know they would do the same to me. We take care of each other’s and I love them, I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. The group dates are hilarious though.
I got ripped out of my thoughts as I heard the bell ring. I had chemistry, which means I probably would get to meet the new boy. I said goodbye to the other guys and gave Blake a kiss, feeling his hands on my waist pulling me closer before I broke the contact.
"I have to go now," I whispered to him.
"I don't want you to go," he whispered back.
"C'mon, this is the last class, we will meet again later after the class at the parking lot like always," I smiled at him. He grunted before he gave me one last peck on the lips and then walked away. I smiled at myself and turned around to get to the class. I took a deep breath as I inhaled the warm spring air, feeling the sun burning in my face. I loved the sun and couldn't wait for the summer to come. I opened the door and bumped into a tall figure.
"I am so sorry!" I apologized as I looked up to see a mess of curls and two green orbs looking down at me. The boy looked pretty serious before he met my eyes.
"It's okay, love. No worries," he smiled at me, revealing two dimples. His smile made him twice more attractive to be honest. I smiled back as I continued walking, this time a bit faster so I wouldn't get late to the class. It's a good thing Mr. Jones always were a bit late, or else I'd have a problem.
I opened the door and walking in with my bag hanging over my shoulder. Seeing that Mr. Jones hadn't come yet, I smiled to my classmates before I found my spot. I've been sitting alone the whole year since I was the last one to get to the classroom at the beginning of the year. I didn't mind though, even though it would be nice with a partner so I didn't have to join other tables who already had a partner, making it three of us. It always gave us less to do.
Mr. Jones came in the door the second my bag hit the floor.
"Good day, students," he greeted us.
"Good day, Mr. Jones," we greeted back.
"A new student is coming today and I hope that you will give him a warm welcome," he told us and looked at us over his glasses. Mr. Jones was a man in his early 50's. His strict rules makes his class probably the most silent one. No one even tries to get him on the nerves anymore, some students used to try but he didn't accept any rude comments. Follow his rules or have a heated conversation in front of everyone. If he caught us sending a piece of paper, he wouldn't hesitate with reading it out loud. He once read out a note between a couple and I promise you, if was not good. It was some inappropriate lines on that note and after that, no one has ever been passing notes in this class.
The door opened and everyone looked towards it. Through the door, a tall figure with curly hair came in. I recognized him from the hall, he was the boy I bumped into. So he is the "bad boy" that got kicked out of his school. He doesn't smile, it's sad. His smile makes him more attractive. I can't say that he isn't attractive now though, oh god Lexie, what are you saying?! I mentally slapped myself while watching the new boy walking towards Mr. Jones. His white shirt was hugging his upper body, and his trousers hanging low on his waist. His black backpack was hanging over one of his shoulders as he entered the classroom. I could see some girls whispering to each other’s and some of them were giggling.
"Hi there, Harry Styles, am I right?" Mr. Jones said and reached out his hand towards the boy.
"Yes, that's my name," he nod and shook Mr. Jones hand, his curls bouncing a bit when he nodded. Still, he didn't smile.
"Great, here are your books and there should be a free spot right about... there," Mr. Jones and looked towards me. "From today of, you'll be Miss Evans partner. She is the blonde girl sitting right over there in the back," Mr. Jones and nodded towards me before patting Harry at the back.
Harry nodded, took the books and walked towards me. I gave him a warm smile as he rounded the corner of the table.
"Hi," I tried and reached my hand out at him. He just looked at it and smirked.
"Hi love," he said and dropped his backpack at the floor before sitting down on the chair.
"Funny to meet you here," he said and looked me straight in the eyes, still with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Oh? Why?" I asked him and pulled my hand back from him.
"When I saw you in the hall, I didn't think you were a senior," he said and winked at me, crossing his arms over his chest.
My eyes widen at his comment. No one has ever said that to me before, actually, people have said that I could be older than my real age, but that's because of my personality. I've heard that I am quite mature for my age. 18 years old girls normally party hard and have attitude. I don't, I respect people and I like being nice.
"Oh," I answered him and looked down at the desk, fiddling with my thumbs. Mr. Jones began talking about atoms and their interactions with other atoms. As always, I paid attention to what he said but I kept getting the feeling of someone staring at me. Suddenly at the end of the class, I felt something warm leaning against me.
"How old are you?" he whispered in his thick husky voice.
"Why? Do you think I have skipped some classes?" I whispered back, still looking forwards so it wouldn't be too obvious that we were talking in Mr. Jones classes. I am not the girl to break rules, and especially NOT Mr. Jones class.
I glanced towards Harry, seeing him frowning a bit. He didn't actually take that joke seriously?
"It was a joke, you didn't actually think that I have skipped some classes?" I asked him and the only answer I got was him shrugging his shoulders and raising an eyebrow. "I am turning 18 soon and thank you, I really appreciate the fact that you think I am smart enough to join college earlier than normal," I smiled at him.
"Well, in that case," he began and I turned my head, facing him. "I am older than you," he gave me a cheeky half smile.
"And thank you for that useful information," I giggled.
"Go out with me," he simply said. My eyes widen and my breath hitched. He have barely met me.
"Wh-what?" I stuttered back.
"Go out with me," he shrugged, this time a little louder making me take a quick glance around to see if anyone heard him, but no one seems to even have noticed that we weren't even paying attention, not even Mr. Jones.
"I'm sorry but I have a boyfriend," I answered him and turned my head back to Mr. Jones.
"You know," I heard his voice. I tried to ignore him but he shifted his position so he was even closer, I could feel his hot breath against my ear.
"I don't really care," he whispered, giving me goose bumps all over my body. I took a deep breath. I didn't know if I should feel "honored" or angry. I mean, I have a boyfriend and he shouldn't say things like this when he knows that I am taken but on the other side, when he walked through the door, almost every single girl in this class looked like they had just seen their prince charming, might be because of his looks.
The sound of the school bell ripped me out of my own thoughts. As I quickly put my books and notes back in my bag, I felt Harry's eyes burning holes in my back.
"My offer is still there, just give me a hint," he whispered as he walked past me. Letting out a sight, I pushed my chair towards the desk and walked towards the door.
"Miss Evans," Mr. Jones voice stopped me, I turned around and looked at him.
"Yes, Mr. Jones?" I said and waited in the door.
"Mr. Styles can be a handful; he has been kicked out from several schools. I hope that being your partner might change him," he said. "And tell me if he gets too much for you to handle, in that case, I will make sure he lands on another table, okay?" he said and gave me a reassuring smile.
"Yes, sure. I think I can handle him. Is there anything else?" I asked him, hoping he was done. I couldn't wait to get back to Blake again.
"No, that should be everything," he said and smiled at me, his crinkles under his eyes making his face look old but kinder.
"Okay, have a good day, Mr. Jones," I said and smiled to him.
"Same to you, Miss Evans," He smiled back before I turned around and walked out the door. I took a deep breath before I went to my locker to empty my bag. I love Fridays, no homework, just a chill day with friends. I closed the locked and a mop of curls came in sight.
"Woah!" I shrieked as I jumped a bit in the air of shock.
"I know, I am breath taking," Harry joked and leant on my locker.
"So, are you going to the party tonight?" He asked me as he crossed his arms over his chest again. I didn't even notice that I was staring at his biceps before he bowed down a bit to get my attention.
"I don't know. Probably," I answered him before I turned around and began walking.
"Hey, are you just walking away from me?" He asked me as he came by my side.
"I am sorry, I have had a long week, I am going to town in 2 hours with my friends and my boyfriend is waiting for me at the car park. I really have to go," I told him and opened the last door before freedom for the week.
Harry stopped by the door and I pretended like I didn't notice, even though I did. I actually wanted to turn around and apologize but I know that he'd just smirk at me so I threw that thought away.
I kept walking in the same pace as I saw my boyfriend waiting for me, leaning on his car. His smile made me feel special every time. I smiled as I walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck, giving him a kiss. He wrapped his arms on my waist, spinning me around a bit.
He was the first one to break the kiss, something that rarely happened.
"Who's that boy?" he asked and looked over my shoulder.
"Who?" I answered with a question, not turning my face.
"The boy who checked out your ass when you walked out the doors and down the stairs," he simply said. The sentence shocked me, Blake wasn't the jealous guy. I turned my head around and noticed Harry standing there, leaning on the doorframe where I left him, again with his arms crossed.
"It's the new boy, he is my new partner in Chemistry," I shrugged. "But don't worry, I love you," I said before pulling him close again.
"I love you too," he whispered before pulling me closer, kissing me passionately. Weird, something must have happened. It feels like he has changed. I decided to ignore it and also to keep my little conversation with Harry a secret. Normally, I'd tell Blake but he is different today, I just don't know how to explain it. He wasn't like this earlier today.
I broke the kiss and let go of his neck, seeing that he was looking over my shoulders again. I hesitated a bit before I opened the door and got in his silver Audi R8 that his dad bought him for his birthday. Blake walked over to the driver’s side and got in the car too. It was a silent but not awkward ride. That's one of the benefits with this relationship. It is never awkward.
"Here we are. Are you joining the party tonight?" Blake said as he pulled over and onto our porch.
"Yeah, I guess. I am going to town with Jess and Adriana in less than two hours. I'll come if I'm not worn out from our little trip," I smiled at him and gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Thanks for driving me," I smiled at him.
"Babe, you know that you don't have to thank me for driving you every day. I like driving on you, showing other guys that you are mine," he told me. I just smiled at him before I unbuckled my seat belt and got out of the car. I blew him a kiss before I turned around and walked up to the door.
First getting ready for shopping with Jessika and Adriana, and then its party time!
