Chapter 25- Dyed Blue hair, 5k runs, and Partners in Crime
I entered my bedroom dorm.
I plopped on my bed.
It was currently 11 P.M. and I'm just getting back to campus.
I sighed and ran a hand threw my hair.
I have school tomorrow............

I woke up and got changed and walked out to my first class.
I really hate Mondays!
I walked into class and sat down and rubbed my eyes.
"Well don't you look delightful" Alice said.
I flipped her off.
She chuckled "So, how was your weekend"?
"Good, Eli proposed to Lex" I smiled.
She smiled "O right, I saw that on Instagram. Tell Lex Congrats for me".
I nodded.
"Alright class" My teacher said as she entered.
"Open your textbook and read the next chapter" She said.
TRANSLATION = Open your textbook, stare at the page like you are reading, and occasionally turn a page while you day-dream.

I walked to lunch and Neil came over and slung an arm over me "Hey, are you okay"?
I nodded "Ya, I'm fine. Just didn't get any sleep".
But honestly I couldn't stop worrying about Max.
I said "Um, I have to make a phone call. I'll be right back" I walked out of the cafeteria.
I went to my locker and put my back against it and called Max.
No answer.
I called Mark.
No answer.
Called Lex.
No answer.
I called Gwen.
No answer.
Call my mom.
No answer..
I was getting really worried.
My palms were sweaty and my heart raced.
I called Beth.
Come on!
Pick up!

Pick up!
"Hey Tatum" She answered.
"Beth! Thank God"! I said relieved.
"Hey everything okay"?! She asked concerned.
I ran a hand threw my hair "I just tried calling my family and no one answered and I was just worrying about Max and-".
"Tatum, Tatum, Tatum calm down before you give yourself a anxiety attack".
"Beth, where's Max"? I asked.
"He's okay, I promise".
"You promise"?
"Yes, and I will call you if anything happens" She said
"Okay, thank you".
"Yeah, and aren't you suppose to be in class"?
"No, I have lunch" I said.
"Oh right. Well I got to go River and Luke are trying to talk to me" She said annoyed.
"Go get em tiger"! I joked.
"Ehem! One's yours" She said.
"Bethany Paige Evans" I yelled.
"Alright, alright chill" She said.
"I got to go, bye" I said and hung up.
I walked back into lunch.

I was walking back to my dorm and my phone buzzed.
I answered it and held it up to my ear.
"Hello"?
"Tatum"! A voice shrieked.
"Hey Zoe" I chuckled.
"Guess what" She whispered.
"What"?
"I stole River's phone" She whispered.
I laughed "Good job, Zoe".
"Zoe! Zoe! Give me my f***ing phone"! I heard River yell in the background.
I then heard the phone being taken away and heard Zoe cry softly.
"You're an a*swhole" I said once River had the phone.
"Whatever" River said.
"I was talking to her, nimrod! Do not yell at her either" I said.
"Tatum, I'm not in the mood" He said annoyed.
"What? Cranky I left"? I teased.
"No. I'm more pissed off about Taylor" He muttered.
"What happened"? I asked.
"She snuck out to see some guy"!
"River calm down. She's 24".
"This guy is an a*swhole"! He yelled.
"Riv, who's this guy"?
"No one" He gritted.
"River don't dare to try and f***ing lie to me"!
"Just leave me the f*ck alone, you b*tch" He yelled.
I hung up immediately.
That stung.
I ran a hand threw my hair.
I need to go out for a bit.

I danced with Rachel and Athena.
We were at some club and I told them what happened, and they immediately brought me here.
I jumped up and down and everyone who was dancing did the same.
I may be a little bit drunk.
O well.
I gasped.
"What?!" Athena asked.
"Its A cat-llama"!
Rachel and Athena laughed "You're such a light-weight"!
I rolled my eyes.
Rachel said "You know what we should do"!?
"What"?
"Let's all dye are hair a color, just for a change; and breaking loose".

I woke up the next day and clutched my head.
Ugh! Hangovers.
I stood up out off my bed and walked in front of my mirror.
My jaw dropped and eyes widened.
My hair is blue!
What the hell happened last night?!
I ran out of my room and down to Athena and Rachel's dorm.
I pounded on their door and they answered and pulled me in.
My eyes widened.
Rachel had neon orange dyed hair, Athena had neon yellow dyed hair.
"What the hell happened"!?
Rachel said "We all dyed the ends of hair".
"I blame the drinks" Athena said.
I rubbed my temples "Is it against dress code"?
"No, we're good" Rachel said.
It wasn't our whole entire head dyed but it was the bottom of our hair.
"Besides you look hot with blue hair" Athena teased and winked.
I flipped her off and walked back to my dorm and got changed.

I walked down the hallways and Athena and Rachel walked on either side of me.
Peoples eyes widened and jaws dropped.
"What the hell did you guys do to your hair"?! Chris, Drew, Neil, and Finn yelled.
India, Amber, Alice, and Leah all had jaws dropped.
Drew exclaimed "Athena"!
She said "Hey, I like my hair! And so does Rachel"!
Finn looked at Rachel and kissed her lips "You look pretty in anything".
She blushed.
I opened my locker door and Neil leaned up against it.
"You know, you look hot with blue hair" He smirked.
I turned towards him and shut my locker door "Is that so"?
The smirk never left his face.
I looked into his brown eyes "Get that thought out of your head right now, because I am not one of your toys" I demanded.
He looked at me shocked and I walked down the hall.

"Tatum Crawford, please report to the principals office" A voice said over the speakers.
Great!
Everyone looked at me and I got up, grabbing my stuff and walking out of Biology. I walked down the hall to the principals office. I walked in and saw Mrs. Morgan at her desk.
She smiled "Hi Tatum". Rachel and Athena were sitting in the seats and I sat down in between them.
She said "Relax girls, you are not in trouble".
We all sighed in relief.
"I was wondering if you girls would do a favor"?
We all raised an eyebrow.
"Well see there is a fundraiser that we are having. It's like a festival and it takes place in where Tatum lives. It's a 5k run and has a bunch of activities for kids. The run is to raise awareness for kids who are paralyzed. I was wondering if you girls would help out with it, it's this weekend.
We all nodded "Ya definitely".
"Great"! She clapped her hands together.

"Ya" I said.
"Ok I'll come" Beth said threw the phone.
I placed my phone between my cheek and shoulder and was packing because of Thanksgiving vacation.
"So how's everything down there"? I asked.
She sighed "I don't know. Jake and I are fighting right now, Luke hasn't talk to me. River is pissed off about something".
"Beth, please tell me you and Jake aren't fighting because of me" I said.
No answer.
"Beth! He's your brother!"
"Yes, and you're my best friend! He cheated on you and he may be my twin but he really pisses me off sometimes! Plus my mom and him are going on something for her work anyways, so it doesn't even matter" She said like it was nothing.
"Bethany Paige Evans!" I exclaimed.
"Tatum Aurora Crawford!" She mimicked.
"What am I going to do with you"? I sighed.
She chuckled then said "Hey, you should call River".
"No, he said 'Just leave me the f*ck alone, you b*tch'."
"Tatum you know he didn't mean it-".
"It doesn't matter, I'm putting up with this crap anymore".
"Tatum, you know him more then anyone else. Call him. He's confused and mad".
"Taylor is aloud to date whoever she wants"! I defended.
Beth said "Wait-He-O my god. Tatum he didn't tell you".
"Tell me what"? I asked.
"His dad is trying to take custody of him" Beth said.
I froze and my heart sunk "You're kidding me".
"No, I'm not" Beth said.
"Beth-".
"Call him"!
"Beth, what the hell am I suppose to say"!?
"Tatum, come on! You know how it feels. Your dad tried the same thing"!
"Ya but-".
"No 'buts' Tatum" Beth stopped me.
"Okay I'll call" I gave in.
"Okay, good. Bye and I'll see you at the race".
"Yep, Bye" I said and hung up.
I sat down on my bed and called River.
Ring!
Ring!
Ring!
"What" River snapped as he answered.
"River please don't" I said.
"What do you want Tatum"!?
"Why didn't you tell me"? I asked.
"I told you Taylor-".
"River cut the bullsh*t because I know your dad is trying to take custody" I said.
Silence..............
"Why wouldn't you tell me"? I asked softly.
"Because-" He started "I didn't want you to worry".
My heart sunk "Riv, it's you! No matter what you do, I'm going to worry" I teased.
I heard him chuckled a bit.
"I mean Remember when we were 5 and got lost in the McDonald's play place because you said we could 'take a shortcut'."
I heard him laugh "Hey, what can I say. But you followed".
"Well how could I not, when my partner in crime was being a 5-year old rebel".
"Ya okay, accomplice" He joked.
I laughed.
"Stop!" River groaned.
"What did I do now"? I asked.
"I'm trying to be mad and pissed off at reality but hearing your laugh makes everything seem like a fantasy" He said.
My cheeks went red and my heart raced and a smile stretched across my face.
"I could almost feel your blush" River said and I could almost see the smirk on his face.
"I would slap you right now"! I stated.
"I'm sure you were" He said with a knowing tone.
I rolled my eyes.

I will be posting another chapter tonight, and I got a bunch of ideas ans I don't want to loose my inspiration for writing them, so I had to get this chapter done.
So that's why its flip-flopping everywhere.
