I will have a grading system for difficulties on a scale of 1-10; 10 for masters and 1 for novices. These are all my grading opinions, so don't be surprised if you finds some easier or harder.

I usually use a lot of materials for drawing so I can get the results I'm looking for. Keep in mind, you do not have to get these materials.
(Materials are shown in the media above. It does not include all that is listed.)
Writing Utensil:
- 2H from Simply (This is especially well for drafts and outlines. You can use and ordinary pencil, though.)
- Black Prismacolor pencil (For outlining.)
- Touch markers (I can't afford Copics.)
- Whiteout pens (For that accurate white.)
- Simply colored pencils (Just a normal brand.)
- 136 Prismacolor set (It's artist quality, and it's awesome!)
Sharpener:
- Any type works (Though the hand sharpener is best so you don't waste most of it.)
- Sandpaper (Used to sharpen/dull the lead.)
Eraser:
- Kneaded Eraser (Helps by shaping it, very comfortable to hold.)
- Prisma or Hi-Polymer (Both are excellent.)
Paper:
- Strathmore (Very thick, good for coloring.)
- Sketchbook (I don't use it a lot.)
- Sketchpad (Only for sketches.)
- Printing paper (I hate using lined paper.)
- Colored/Construction paper (Who knows, you might need it.)
Others:
- Ruler (I use centimeters, unlike that stupid American metric system, it's more accurate.)
- Tortillians (Those are papers wrapped to make a point which is used for shading.)
- Compass (For those who don't know, it's used for making perfect circles. I usually use it for the heads.)
- A device such as cellular phone, Ipad, computer, etc. (To look up references and pump up some jams!)
- Mark Crilley's book Mastering Manga 1 (It wasn't very helpful for me, but it does work.)
- Your hands! (You need to have stay hands or your grip on your writing utensil is improving.)
I don't use paint, pastel, protractors, not Artist Loft brand. I absolutely hate Artist Loft.
