We're about to celebrate our two months together. Yes, 2 months. In this short period of time, I have nothing but good words about our relationship. I cannot find it any better and happier.
Nate has always been good and sweet to me. Palagi niya akong pinagbibigyan sa mga lambing ko, kahit para akong bata, he does'n't mind to take care of me.
But I'm just sad cause we couldn't get on normal dates.
Si Kuya Karl naman kasi eh, I think he was really traumatized when I had suicide because of Miko. I was crazy that time, bata pa kasi ako noon kaya immature ako masyado. Kuya Karl doesn't have to be afraid.
I know Nate cannot afford to hurt me.
"Hi babe."
"Oh babe you're here. Kala ko mamaya pa eh."
hmmm ang aga naman ng sundo ko. I'm still working on my boutique here in our mall when Nate dropped by. Hindi naman kilala ng employees ko si Kuya Karl kaya okay lang kahit bumisita si Nate dito then sa back door na lang kami nag-eexit going to carpark.
"Want to eat?"
"Yes... but I want to eat here. I saw this ramen restaurant nearby. Pero babe it's okay. I know our situation." Para naman kaming kriminal nito. Tskkkk...
"No, sige dito na tayo. Kakain lang naman eh."
"Okay." Napilitan lang ba sya just because I want to eat here within the facility? Am I selfish? Eh paano kung may makakita samin diba?
Naglakad na kami ni Nate sa hallway going to the Korean Restaurant. Alam mo yung magkadikit kami pero walang imikan?
Asan na yung usual akbay at holding hands?
Playing safe. tsk... Kelan kaya yung mapagsisigawan namin na kami na?y Yung proud kami because we have each other.
"Babe, eto ba yung restaurant?"
"Ah. yes." Matipid kong sagot. Busy ako kakaisip kaya hindi ko namalayan na andito na kami.
We ordered ramen, kimchi and kimbap. My favoritesssss! Sana makapunta din kami sa Korea ng kaming dalawa lang. That's my dream actually.
I enjoy what I am eating kesa naman magtampo ko ng wala sa lugar.
"Nathan Kurt??? Is that you?"
Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa kanya. Tskkk... babae pa.
"Hi Pia! long time no see ah."
"Hmmm yes. May kasama ka pala. Hi. :) Let's catch up anytime. Okay? "
"Sure, this is Monique, Karl's cousin. See you some time."
"Wow that's good to hear. At least you're dating now."
"No Pia. We're..."
"Friends." yun ang nasabi ko. Bakit diba yun din naman patutunguhan ng sinabi niya. It's painful. I really cannot bear to hear it that we're friends. But we chose this, I'm willing to endure the pain for us.
Umalis na yung Pia but I pretend to eat happily. Yung parang walang nangyari.
"Babe you seem to enjoy your food."
I just nodded. I cannot utter a single word. I'm trying my best to hold my tears back.

We finished eating but she's just silent. She's smiling but I know she's hiding something. Is she upset? Is she mad? She may not tell me but her gestures tell so.
"Babe go to rest na. See you on weekend. May urgent meeting kasi ako bukas eh. Kaya baka hindi kita mapuntahan."
"Oh sige. Ingat ka. I'll get inside now."
Hinatid ko sya sa condo niya pero parang ang cold niya. Nagtampo nga siguro saya sakin. She just gave me a peck in the cheek na usually sa lips naman niya ginagawa.
Hindi ko inaasahang makita yung college friend namin na si Pia. I got surprised na hindi ko napakilala si Monique. I didn't want to deny her.. Pero hindi naman as friends ang balak ko.
I'm proud to be his boyfriend, hindi ko pa lang talaga naayos yung kay Karl kaya discreet pa kami. Fck... I know I'm hurting my girl.
Bahala na nga. Basta aayusin ko na to. I want a normal life with Monique.
*fast forward to weekend*
"Babe sorry kung bigla kitang sinundo ha?"
"Oo nga. Nagulat naman ako. Akala ko sa hapon pa tayo magkikita eh. Where are we going anyway?"
"Sa clubhouse."
"Ano namang gagawin natin dun?'
"Ehh.. Basta. Mag-eenjoy lang tayo."
"Okay." I'm nervous but I hope this plan will bring good results to all of us.
I held Monique's hand habang papasok kami sa clubhouse. I know she finds it awkward kasi hindi naman kami naghoholding hands pag nasa public area kami. Lalo na ngayon na andito kami sa clubhouse which is exclusive sa mga kaibigan at pamilya namin.
"Babe ano ba talagang gagawin natin dito?"
Hindi ko sya pinansin hanggang sa makaabot kami sa table nila Karl, Pao, at ng iba pa naming mga kaibigan..
"Monique!!!" It was Karl who called her name.
Agad syang bumitaw sakin. She really did not expect this.
"What are you doing with Nate?"
"Ah Kuya... Kasi.... I just saw him outside-----"
I held her hand again, alam ko nagulat silang lahat. "I asked you to come here because I want you to meet my girlfriend."
Gulat, galit, yan ang nararamdaman ni Karl para sakin ngayon.
"Monique, tara na. This is nonsense."
"Pare, let's talk."
"I trusted you."
Pumagitna samin ang ilan naming kaibigan kaya napigilan kung anumang kumosyan ang dapat na magaganap. They took Monique first para makapag-usap kami ng masinsinan ni Karl.
I grabbed two bottles of beer para saming dalawa. I've waited for this to happen. Kaya hindi ko to sasayangin.
"Pare I know nagulat kita. I'm sorry if I failed your trust."
"Kelan pa?"
"Two months."
"Pare, bestfriend kita eh, tapos parang kapatid ko na si Monique. Sakin sya binilin ng parents niya when she decided to reside here. Kaya ganon ako kahigpit sa kanya. I don't want her get hurt again. Yun lang naman ang punto ko eh."
"Alam ko. Pero please trust me again na hindi ko sya sasaktan. If you're thinking na panakip butas lang sya, well that's so wrong. She's more than a gem to me. I love her... I loved her even before. You know that, right?"
"Natatakot lang ako na baka mangyari ulit kay Monique yung dati. Yung sa kanila ni Miko... You know she almost killed herself when that asshole cheated on her."
Nainis ako sa narinig ko. Yun pala yung iniiwasan niya sa mall when I saw her. That guy should be Miko. "I won't let that happen pare. I won't give her any reason to do such thing again. I promise to look after her, always."
"Then that's a deal."
"So it means??"
"You better be good Nathan Kurt!"
Nakahinga ako ng maluwag ng ngmiti si Karl at niyaya pa kong magtoast ang mga beer namin. It was a relief na hindi sya tutol sa relasyon namin ng pinsan niya.
Now I understand why he was like that. Hindi ko naman kasi inakala na ganoon pala nasaktan si Monique noon.

Sobrang kinakabahan ako ngayon. Hindi naman kasi ako ready sa ganito eh. Hindi ko inexpect na ngayon namin sasabihin kay Kuya Karl. Galit sya alam ko, pero hindi ko sya masisisi. I failed them before, I got them upset dahil sa ginawa ko noon sa sarili all because of love.
Pero iba na ngayon, I have the right man now.
Sana naman walang masamang nangyari. Sana okay lang sila ni Kuya. Hinatid lang ako nila Kuya Pao dito sa coffee shop ng clubhouse tapos binalikan din naman nila si Nate at Kuya Karl.
Ilang minuto akong nakatulala at malalim ang iniisip. Ni hindi ko nga naramdaman na nagalaw ko yung frapp ko.
"Babe."
"Babe, are you okay? Kamusta kayo ni kuya?" Napatayo agad ako ng lumapit si Nate.
"I'm sorry."
Bakit sya nagsosorry? Hindi pa rin ba okay? Gusto kong maiyak... Paano na kami niyan.
"It's okay, at least you tried your best. Tara na babe." malungkot kong sabi sa kanya.
"No. I'm sorry because I have to do this in front of everyone."
