The sun in my face
sand in between my toes
chasing the birds
how a beach day goes
digging a hole
as deep as a well
when we will stop
no one can tell
above our heads
the creamy clouds lie
riding the wind
slowly inching by
riding my bike
the wind whistling in my ear
three kids jump out
they're lucky I can steer
Later in the evening
when night falls
there's a bunch of drunk guys
running into walls
Digging for sand crabs
screaming when they appear
collecting them in a bucket
this day makes it clear
there is no other place
i'd rather be
than with my family and friends
down by the sea
