Chapter 10- Pumpkin Patch and Anxiety Attacks
"Tatum! Get your damn a*s up"! Mark yelled as he entered my room.
I flipped him off "Get out"!
He put his hands in surrender and walked out.
I got up and brushed my hair and teeth.
I a black fitted t-shirt and a pair if skinny jeans, combat boots, red infinity scarf, army green jacket/coat and a red beanie.
I grabbed my keys and backpack and ran down the stairs.
"Bye Mom"! I yelled and ran out.
I got to school and shoved my books in my locker.
Beth came up to me and asked "You excited"?
"For what"? I asked.
"Halloween! Its this weekend!"
My mouth formed an 'o' shape.
"Yes and Luke's throwing the party! The whole schools going!"
"Ok, ok, chill. I'll go".
"Ok, I'll get your costume after school, since I know you won't go".
I gave her a thumbs up as I walked down the hallway.
I bumped into someone
"I'm sorry-" I started the looked up from the ground and saw Keira and River.
She gave me a disgusted look "Well aren't you going to apologize"?
"Yeah, I'm sorry....you're such a b*tch".
She scoffed "Well at least I'm not ugly, unlike you".
"I'm ugly"? I asked pretending to be hurt.
She scanned over me "Yes".
I smirked "Good, I was trying to look like you today".
POINT TATUM!
Her jaw dropped "Riveeeeeee tell this mean girl to stop"!
River just stared at me.
I said "Yeah.........Riveeeeeee".
He gave me a glare "Tatum just shut the f*ck up"!
I looked at him "No. River....." you shut up" then walking away.
I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and someone kiss my neck.
"Hey Babe" Jake said into my hair.
"Hey" I chuckled and turned in his arms.
He tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.
He frowned.
"What"?
He said "I'm going to be out of town for Luke's party".
"Aww, why"?
He said "Family thing. Just don't let any guys hit on you" and played woth my fingers.
"Oh please, that's not going to happen".
He looked at me "Tatum you really don't give yourself enough credit. You're prettier then all then girls here, because you are real."
I smiled "Thanks Jake".
He smiled no problem.
I pecked his lips and laughed "You're such a tease".
Then pressing his lips to mine.

"Hello Family"! I cheered as I walked into the pumpkin patch.
"Hey sweetie" my mom hugged me.
Lex was with Eli; her boyfriend.
Eli smiled "Hey Tatum".
I ran up and hugged him "Eli"!
He laughed and hugged me.
Eli is like another brother to me.
I pulled away and Max asked "Mom, what are we waiting for"?
We always go pumpkin picking.
"Lockwood's.......O here they come"
I turned and saw Taylor, River, James, Zoe, and Mrs. Lockwood.
I bit my lip.
My mom and Mrs. Lockwood have been friends since high school, so our families are always together except for the past 2 years....
"Tatum"! Taylor hugged me.
"Hey Taylor" I said and pulled away from her.
Mrs. Lockwood clapped her hands together "Ok, first person to find the perfect pumpkin gets 20 bucks, GO!"
I walked into the field of pumpkins and scanned over them.
I walked up and down and tried finding one I liked.
I spotted one after 15 minutes.
I went to grab it but someone else did.
"Tsk tsk, to slow green eyes" Rivers voice said.
I looked at him "River just give it".
He narrowed his eyes at me "No".
"Why? I found it first".
"Because you insulted Keira today" he said.
"That sl*t deserved to be called out" I said.
"You're a real b*tch, you know that" River said.
I rolled my eyes "Ya you've told me".
"I can't believe I was ever friends with you"River muttered.
That struck home and I looked down at the ground.
"Keep the damn pumpkin River" I said and walked away.
<^>River Lockwood POV<^>
We were at the Crawford's house, because of our moms.
I watched as Tatum helped Zoe carve a pumpkin.
She'll be a good mom, some day.
She finished and Zoe hugged her and Tatum smiled and got up.
She foxed the red beanie on her head and walked inside.
"You're whipped, dude" James and Mark said from behind me.
"No I'm not" I scoffed.
Me? Whipped? And over Tatum?
Pshhhh.
"Ya right" Mark said.
Tatum walked back outside and shut the sliding door and caught me staring.
Her emerald green eyes meet mine.
She didn't show any emotion and looked away and talked to Holly and Gwen.
I sighed and walked inside.
Damn, she's oblivious!
Why can't she see I'm in love with her?!?!
"River, dear. Can you give these to Tatum"? My mom asked and handed me a grabge can.
I took it and placed it in front of her.
She mumbled "Thank you" and threw pumpkin guts into the garbage can.
"Tatum" I said.
"What"? She asked not looking at me.
"I need to tell-" I started.
"Tatum!" Holly and Lex yelled.
She stood up and walked away.
I walked up stairs and heard yelling.
I walked towards the end of the hallway.
It was coming from Tatum's room.
"Shut up! Shut up! Leave me alone!" She yelled.
I opened her door and saw Tatum pacing back in fourth and she had tears prick her eyes.
She looked at me and stopped pacing.
"Are you alright"? I asked.
"Yeah" she mumbled.
I scanned over her room, it was still the same.
Light blue and had a queen sized mattress with a comforter and her desk, closet, TV, bathroom, dresser, etc.
I saw her book shelf was full of pictures.
She raised an eyebrow.
"It hasn't changed" I said and she rolled her eyes and walked over to her desk.
I walked in and over to her bookshelf.
There were a bunch of pictures on frames of her and her family.
I came across a picture and stopped.
It was of me and her.
We were making the same funny face.
It was from when we went to a football game.
Flashback
"WHHHOOOOHHHOOOO"! The crowd cheered.
Tatum laughed and we sat back down.
Her laugh and smile.
I stared at her, I mean you would wantbto stare at the most beautiful thing on earth, if it was in front of you to.
She turned to me and raised an eybrow "What? Do I have something on my face"?
I chuckled "No green eyes, you're good".
She rolled her eyes "I still don't understand why you call me 'green eyes'."
I narrowed my eyes at her "Your eyes are green....are they not"?
She trailed off "Yaaa. Other people have green eyes."
"Yes but yours are pretty" I said and she blushed.
"You're an a*swhole" she joked.
I leaned my face closer to hers "Ya but I'm your a*swhole".
She blushed again.
I smile at the memory.
I felt presence behind me, and I turned to see Tatum.
I looked at her.
She bit her lip and looked up at me.
I looked down at her, since she was 5'10 and I'm 6'2, so I'm a few inches taller.
I saw her hands shaking a bit.
"Tatum"?
She squeezed her eyes shut and a tear fell down her cheek.
I realized she was having and anxiety attack.
"Tatum" I said worried.
I grabbed her shaking hands.
"Tatum, breath".
"I-I can't" She cried.
"Tatum look at me" I ordered.
I cupped her cheek and made her face look up to me.
"Tatum, breath".
She breathed and eventually calmed herself down.
I pulled her into a hug and wrapped my arms around her as she cried into my chest.
"Shh.....Tatum, it's okay" I said softly and rubbed circles on her back.
She cried out "River".
"Shh, shortcake".
Shh sniffled and I rested my chin on top of her head.

I got an Aries since my birthday is March 25th.
I have to go to school now.
