Here's a layout I've used often when looking for the direction a chapter might take. A brief yet comprehensive overview for you to follow in structuring the new twists in your story.

First Card: The Situation: The overall situation the chapter deals with. Can also be the inciting incident which propels the situation.

Second Card: The Challenge: The main conflict or obstacle the character/s will face in this chapter.

Third Card: Advice: Advice or insight on how the character/s may approach the challenge presented.

Fourth Card: Outcome: The final result of the choices made by the character/s.
