Chapter 9- I'm yours
"Tatum" Lex said as she entered my room.
"Yes"? I asked and continued to do my chemistry homework.
"You free tonight"?
I dropped my pencil and turned to her.
"Why"?
"Well, we're all headed up to Gramps thing, he's playing tonight."
My grandfather is in his 60's and is a band.
They just play small places like festival's or a bar.
The bands called Martins and chords also know as M.A.C.
Martins is a type of guitar and they just put chords.....
I asked "Where's is it at"?
"Rodery country club" She said.
I nodded "Ya, I'll be up later".
"K" she said and walked out.

I pulled on a pair of skinny jeans that had rips in them, a red iversuzed sweater, beige infinity scraf, and brown combat boots.
Its cold, since we're in Oregon......
I grabbed my phone and stuck it in my back pocket.
I walked out of my room and shut my door and walked down the grand staircase.
Everyon left about an hour ago, while I finished homework.
I grabbed my keys and walked outside and got in my truck.
I drove to the country club.
I got to the golf course/ country club/ bar/ resteraunt place.
I parked and heard music playing.
They were playing outside umder a big white tent that was set up by the golf course.
I walked up the stone path and saw people dancing and singing along.
I saw my grandfather, and his band-mates playing.
They finished up a song and everyone went back to talking.
I walked threw people and up to my grandfather.
"Hey Gramps" I said.
He turned around to face me.
A smile appeared on his face "Hey Tatum" and hugged me.
I pulled away "Sorry I'm late, I had homework".
"Not a problem" he said.
"Florence"! Todd a band member called.
My grandfather said "I have to go".
"Bye" I hugged him and walked away.
"TATUM"! Voices yellled.
I was then attacked by little kids.
I put my hands in surrender.
"Kids, let go of Tatum" My aunt Phoebe said to my little cousins.
They all realeased me.
Let me get this, this is all my family:
Aunts: Phoebe, Penny, Amelia, Jessa, Erin
Uncles: Drew, Matt, Charlie, George, Thomas
Cousins: Scarlett (23), Abby (20), Logan (18), Lewis (16), Laura (15), Emily (15), Harry (14), Jasmine (13), Oliver (12), Ryan (12), David (10), Emily (8), Lily (7), Summer (5), Springb (5), Hannah (4), Leo (2), Brian (6 months).

Yeah, I have a big family.......
Spring and Summer jumped up and down. They're twins by the way.
"Tatum, we missed you"!
I chuckled and hugged them all "Hey kiddos".
"O my god, its Tatum"! More voices yell.
I was tackled by Scarlett, Abby, and Laura.
"Ow! Guys get off!" I whined.
They got off me and I stood up.
Scarlett hugged me "We've missed you"!
I haven't seen my family in a couple months actually.
"I missed you guys to" I said and pulled away from the hug.
Abby and Laura hugged me again.
"So how's everything been"? Abby asked.
I shrugged "Okay, I guess".
Laura said "Wow exciting! We heard you got a boyfriend"?!
I smiled and nodded.
They all said "Please tell us it's River"!
My eyes widened "What?! No! River's still an a*swhole".
"Yo green eyes, that a*swhole here".
I whirled around and saw River with Logan and Lewis; my cousins.
I said "You know you're really bipolar".
He rolled his eyes.
Logan and Lewis hugged me "What's up Cuz"?!
"Nothing" I shrugged.
"Tatum! Tatum! Tatum!" Spring and Summer ran up to me.
"Yes"? I asked.
"Can we show you our cartwheels"?! They asked and tugged on my hands.
"Okay, okay, before you rip off my hands".
They pulled me out to the grass and they both were saying "Watch me! Watch! Watch me!"
They both did cartwheels and I clapped and high five them.
"Oooo Baby it's a wild world" the band sang and played their acoustic guitars.
I twirled Summer and she giggled.
Scarlett was dancing with spring.
Everyone danced
The band played Wild World by Cat Stevens.

They play 'old' music; 70's, 80's, 90's but thats the kind of music I grew up with.
Abby danced with Lily.
Summer was grinning ear to ear and she danced.
It was cute.
Mark, Logan, Lewis, and River were standing in the corner; talking.
I took Summer's hand and danced with her.
She motioned for me to come closer to her.
I bent down to her.
She whispered it my ear "You're my favorite cousin, but don't tell anyone".
I chuckled and nodded then standing back up straight "Ok Summer".
She smiled and the song came to an end.
Summer went to Spring and Lily.
I walked over to my mom who was talking with all my aunts and some cousins.
"Hey Tatum" my mom smiled.
"Hi" I said and took some chips off her plate.
She rolled her eyes.
Aunt Jessa said "You should get Gramps to let you play".
I shook my head "No, no, no!"
Lex, Logan, Mark, and Scarlett said "Good idea" then pushing me up to where the band plays.
They started to talk to gramps and the other band-mates.
They then looked at me and smiled.
"Good idea, Tatum come here".
Mark pushed me over.
Todd said "Here you play" and handed me a martin guitar.
My eyes widened "No, no you don't-".
"O come on Tatum, whats that saying you kids say now a days........Yala!" My granfather said.
"Its 'YOlO' and no one says it Gramps, unless your ten".
He shrugged "O well, stand here".
They all pushed me to infront of the microphone on the stand.
They all walked into the crowd and everyone turned to look at me and was dead silent.
"Uhhhh.....I'm Tatum. I'm being force to do this
The crowd laughed.
"Warning: I have not played guitar for 2 years, so this is going to be horrible."
Everyone chuckled and I put the guitar strap over my head.
(A://N I can't really sing that well, so I am just going to picture my friend loverunning19 singing, because she can sing....unlike me....)
Everyone stared at me.
"Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill, you're so hot I melted
I fell right threw the cracks
Now I'm trying to get back" I sang and strummed the chords on the guitar.
"Before the cool done run out

And nothings gonna stip me except for divine intervention.
I reckons, it's my turn
To win some or learn some." I breathed.
"But I won't hesitate
It cannot wait,
I'm yours" I sang each word pronoucing it, and everyone stared and my eyes met Rivers.

And its our God forsaken right to be loved loved loved loved loved" My eyes held Rivers gazd threw that whole 'stanza' and I averted my eyes from his.

I heard little kids gasp "Bad word"!

People smiled and some sang along.
"I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror

"But my breath cogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and I laughed
I guess what I'll be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons.

Our name is our virtue." I slowed down the last part.
"But I won't hesitate

I sang and my eyes met River's again.

A://N So long chapter!
For the song, I know I screwed it up, but I'm typing on my phone since my computer won't work.
Also my wifi won't work so I can't look up the lyrics, so I was just going off what I know from that somg
Its currently 1:46 A.M. but I'm writing this September 26th and posting it the 27th.
Well it technically is the 27th since its passrd midnight.....
Anyways, my grandfather actually is in a band and I went to see him play today!
Thats how I got the inspiration ti write this.
O and I can't sing that well, i mean I dont think I can make your ear drums bleed.........
Idk......
