Chapter 7- "Bye Green-eyes"
<3 Tatum Crawford POV <3
"Ugh"! I groaned into my pillow.
"Tatum get up" Mark smacked me with my pillow.
I flipped him off and buried my face further into the pillow.
"Hello People" a voice said.
I sat up and Beth walked in with a bag of popcorn in her hands and plopped down in one of my chairs.
Mark walked out and I stood up from my bed.
I asked "Why are you here, so early"?
She narrowed her eyes at me "Tatum, it's 1 o'clock".
My eyes widened "Sh*t!" I muttered.
I ran into my bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth.
"Why in such a rush"? Beth asked.
"I have a thing" I said.
"A thing"? She asked.
"A thing" I stated and walked into my closet.
"Beth, is it cold out"?
That was a stupid question to ask.....
"Ya, I mean it is fall....." She said.
I grabbed clothes and shut my closet door and got changed quickly.
I pulled on a gray over-sized sweater, black skinny jeans, brown combat boots, brown infinity scarf, and a beanie.
I walked out of my closet and grabbed my skateboard, keys, and phone.
Beth raised an eyebrow.
"I have to go do a few things, I'll be back later" I said and walked out.
I walked outside and shut the door then getting on my skateboard and skating down my driveway and onto the street.
I placed my ear buds in and music played threw my ears.
I skated up and down streets.

I breathed and knocked on the door.
I gulped silently and the door opened.
River opened it; shirtless.
I averted my eyes from his abs and he smirked, then raised an eyebrow.
"I'm here to-".
"Tatum"! A voice yelled.
Zoe ran up and hugged me.
I smiled "Hey Zoe".
Holly came over "Oh, hey Tatum. You're here finally".
I rolled my eyes and Holly pulled me inside.
I haven't been in the Lockwood house for 2 years.
Holly pulled me into the living room.
"Hey Green-eyes" James smiled.
I smiled.
River use to call me that.....
"O yes, Hi Tatum" Mrs. Lockwood said and got up from the couch and hugged me.
Holly pulled me over to the couch and I plopped down on it.
River walked in and stayed silent and took a seat in a chair.
"Zoe go get your backpack" Mrs. Lockwood told Zoe.
She nodded then getting up and running off.
"Thank you Tatum, Zoe just can't seem to grasp anything she's learning" Mrs. Lockwood said.
"No problem" I shrugged and my phone vibrated.
I took it out of my back pocket.
I saw a picture sent from Lex.
Lex: Awww, look how cute!!!! <3
I opened up the picture and it was of River and I.
My eyes widened.
A picture of River and I kissing?!
That was from the one night we were dared by Luke in sophomore year....
I threw my phone and everyone gave me confused looks.
"Uhhhh....." I trailed off.
James got up and picked up my phone.
"James don't-".
I was cut off, by the smirk that formed on his face.
I buried my face in my hands.
Holly said "Let me see"! Then getting up and walking over.
Her eyes lit up and jaw dropped.
"I remember this night" James said.
"Good for you" I mumbled and tried to snatch my phone back.
"Tsk, tsk, Tatum" James said.
River then got up and grabbed my phone from James.
He looked at the photo and I saw the corner of his lips curl into a smile.
That confused me.
He said "This picture needs to be burned" then handing me my phone.
"I know" I said.
"O my god!" Holly squealed, and James looked shocked "You guys just agreed on something"!
I rolled my eyes and Zoe came back in "I'm ready".
"Alright, lets go" I said and she grabbed my hand and pulled me over to the couch and she sat down and pulled her books out of her backpack, and placed them on the coffee table in front of us.

"Correct" I said and smiled as Zoe, wrote down the answer.
It's been 3 hours, and I tutored Zoe in all of her subjects.
She closed her book "All done"! She cheered.
I high-fived her"Good job".
She giggled then getting up and running out.
I grabbed my skateboard and walked into the kitchen, where everyone was.
Holly asked "Leaving"?
I nodded.
Mrs. Lockwood said "Oh, how about you join us for dinner"?
"Mrs. Lockwood, you really-."
She cut me off and chuckled "Oh please, Tatum it's Marie I've known you since you were born. I want you to join us, really".
I sighed and Holly, and Jake nodded "Ya stay".
Zoe's eyes lit up "Tatum's staying"?!
I chuckled and she grabbed my hand and pleaded "Please" she repeated numerous times.
"Okay, okay. I'll stay" I gave in.
Mrs. Lockwood smiled.
Holly, and James pulled me outside.
James asked "You still skate"?
I nodded and set my skateboard down.
"I want to see" Zoe chirped.
I stepped on then skated down the driveway and did a heel flip.
I did an Ollie, into a laser flip.
I skated and did a heel-flip.
I watched ahead and made sure not to look out my feet or I would trip.
I skated to a bench and did a axel stall off the side of it, and kept my feet placed on the board. I skated down the sidewalk and saw River come out.
I did in backside-flip and breathed.
I skated up the bench and jumped off my board and grabbed it in the air.
I landed back on it and skated down the sidewalk and breathed.
I got down low and skated out to the street, luckily there were no cars.
I grabbed the ends of the board and lifted my legs up and did a handstand.
I stayed like that for a few seconds then putting my feet on the ground and stopping my board and kicking the end to make it fly up to my hand.
I walked up the driveway.
James, Holly, and Zoe all had shocked faces.
River seemed to know I would do something like that.
"Holy crap"! Holly exclaimed.
I chuckled.
"How'd you do that"!?
"Practice makes perfect" I said.
They looked at River then me.
"I also did have a good teacher" I winked at River and his lips curled up into a smirk.
River taught me how to skateboard.
"Hello Lockwood's"! Two familiar voices said.
I whipped around, to see Luke and Jake.
"Crawford"?
They walked up.
Luke and Jake hugged me, then Jake pecked my lips "Hey, why you here"?
"I was helping Zoe" I said.
He nodded.
"You two are dating"?! Holly asked with disappointment in her voice.
I nodded.

"Dinner"! Mrs. Lockwood yelled.
Holly pulled me downstairs.
Oh, Taylor is at her boyfriends' house.
She pushed me into a seat next to her and James sat on my other side.
Everyone sat down.
We all had spaghetti and started eating.
I twirled the noodles on my fork.
"So, Tatum" Mrs. Lockwood said.
I looked up at her.
"If you don't mind me asking, where's your dad"?
I froze and my breath hitched in the back of my throat.
I blinked a couple of times; feeling uncomfortable.
"I'm sorry Tatum, I didn't mean to-" Mrs. Lockwood started.
Everyone looked at me "No, it's fine" I said.
She stopped.
I said honestly "I don't know where he is".
She gave me a sympathetic smile "I'm sorry, dear".
I shook my head "It's fine."
I felt River's eyes boring into me.
I ignored it.

"Zoe, I have to leave" I said to the 6- year old that was sitting on my foot and hugging my leg, begging me not to leave.
"Zoe let go of Tatum" James said.
James pulled her off me and she frowned.
I grabbed my skateboard.
"Can you come tomorrow"?! Zoe asked hopefully.
I chuckled.
Mrs. Lockwood picked Zoe up and placed her on her hip "Zoe, Tatum has things to do".
"Like what"? Zoe asked.
"Like homework" I said and tickled her and stopped.
She gasped "On a weekend"?!
I chuckled "You're cute".
She smiled sheepishly.
My eyes met River's and he held my gaze.
His eyes.
They are so blue!
I snapped out of his gaze, and Mrs. Lockwood said "Bye Tatum" then walking into the kitchen with Zoe.
"Bye" Holly and James said then hugging me.
Luke said "See you at school" and fist pounded me.
I rolled my eyes.
Jake pressed his lips to mine, and gave me a quick kiss "Ya, see you".
"Bye" I smiled.
"Bye Green-eyes" River said.
My heart raced and I froze.
He hasn't called me that, in forever.
He smirked at my reaction.
"Bye Riv" I called and skated out.

Can I just say how much I hate outlining..... :|
Also, I know a bit about skateboarding. I mean I know how to skate, but I can't do any tricks so I just based the knowledge off of what I have learned from my guy cousins, and some guys friends......so sorry if you are like a skateboarding expert and are getting mad at it because its incorrect just tell me and I will try to fix it.
Story time: I was at school and we have A LOT of History homework, and the teacher I have for that class is extremely strict. We have these questions you have to answer in paragraphs and there's numerous questions. So I had them done but I didn't write them in my copybook/notebook (Whatever you want to call it), I had it on 'theme paper'. At my school if you miss a homework assignment you have a detention. I realized right before lunch I didn't write it in my copybook. I would have just wrote it at lunch but I couldn't go to lunch, because I had to make-up a math quiz, I missed. My friends took my copybook and paper and brought it to lunch. They tried to copy my handwriting and write it down in my copybook. But then when I had History/ S.S my teacher didn't even check it! But thanks dmurp15 and loverunning19 (My friends, who did the homework)!
