TIMID STREAM

I'll let the readers interpret this oneJ

TIMID STREAM:

Lo and behold, the timid stream that panders to the breeze,

Must chart a course through broken dreams to meet the endless sea,

Its tortuous path is fraught with doubt and laden with remorse,

It must face the raging river which screams at it till it is hoarse.

With great resolve the timid stream edges to the rivers bank,

Singing sweet goodbye’s to blades of grass that from its nectar drank,

The mournful breeze gazes at the stream as it prepares to try,

With a final prayer and tearful sigh, it bids its friend goodbye.

How many streams before it have made this very same mistake?

Trusting the churning, swirling beast that knows only how to take,

But fear oftimes beyond a point brings on a braver state,

It sometimes forces timid streams to take the leap of faith.
