Skye's POV:
I wake up in my own bed. I would question how I got here, but it is pretty obvious that Ward carried me.
Ward. I actually felt comfortable with him.
I walk out of my bedroom and head for the kitchen. It smells like bacon. I love bacon.
I enter to find Ward making breakfast.
"Good morning, Skye!" He says, cheerfully.
His back is turned to me, so I have no idea how he even knew I was standing there.
"Good morning, Ward." I reply.
I sit down at the kitchen table. Soon there is a plate full of bacon, eggs, and toast, sitting right in front of me.
"Thank you." I say.
"Of course!" He replies.
He seems to be in a good mood.
"I didn't know you could cook." I say.
He is now sitting across from me, enjoying his own breakfast.
"I didn't know you could look more beautiful than you did last night." He says.
I can feel my face turning red. It only seems to make him smile more.
We both eat in silence. Not an awkward silence, but more of a comforting silence.
Once I am done, Ward takes my plate. I am about to head back to my room when I feel Ward's hand on my wrist. I turn to look at him.
"I love you." He says.
My heart is pounding very fast.
"Okay." I reply very quickly.
I sprint to my room, but I can hear Ward's footsteps trailing after mine.
