You were a star shining bright,
the light to my dark.
Long did we spend in isolation
before we found each other.
A moment of love to
a moment of tears,
a night of passion
to a time of discussion.
A moment of meeting,
a place for our grieving;
you are my dear, leaving
or rather has left in quite, no fear.
A natural occurrence-
You were my lord,
I your lady,
my king, I your queen,
My god, I your goddess,
together as divine balance.
The father to my children,
I thought you would be
from the moment we knew each other
in a way of more than friends.
From the moment we first danced,
the dance of lovers.
In ancient ritual of love-
the perfection of the natural;
what some can't conceive.
Yet, we held it with such measure,
it was our true belief,
your sweet eyes,
your sweet smile,
Your lips, and your kiss,
our life, and our love
like doves that soar
we too went far.
And now you've fled
without me-gone
but what's still here
can never be dead,
the memories that are not stale.
As love in life,
in life in-love,
we continue now
in deepest trust
we continue now
as we now must.
