The next morning, I decide to skip classes and get familiar with the school grounds. I walked around for about half an hour before I found a stable. "They have animals here?" I walk towards the animal house. When I'm inside, I see four to five horses. A white one stands out to me. "Well aren't you a pretty one." I pet it and it neighs in response. I chuckle a little.
"So, do you want to tell me your name?" I ask it even though I know that I won't get an answer. I leave the horse to go and explore the building. "Why would the school have this here when no one uses it?"
I hear a voice coming from the entrance. I hide in one of the vacant horse stalls. "Stupid Yuki. Who does she think she is?"
Wait, that's Zero's voice. My anger from last night begins to come back to me, and it takes every drop of my self-control to not jump out and punch him in the face. "Hey girl, how are you doing today?" Like the horse did with me, she neighs. "Good. Good." Zero falls down onto the small pile of hay in pain.
Zero! I start to get up but then I don't. "Damnit... I can't keep trying to eat those blood capsules..." What? "I also can't keep drinking from Yuki. I will kill her if I do..."
Zero... You're a... a... "A vampire?" I finish my thought out loud. Shit!
"Who's there?" Zero gets up quickly and pulls out the Bloody Rose.
"M-me..." No point in hiding now. I stand up and look him in the eye.
"How much did you hear."
"Oh, not much. Just all of it." I crinkle my nose. "Vampire."
He flinches at the word. "Look, it's not what you think-"
"No I'm pretty sure that I know what you really are." My words drip with poison "You're a blood sucking leech. You're kind doesn't think twice about killing innocent people."
"Listen to me!" He drops his gun and walks towards me. "I am still the same Zero that you've known since childhood."
I pull out (y/w). "No,you're not the Zero that I remember. The Zero that I knew wasn't a vampire. The Zero that I knew was nice and caring. Not some asshole that yells at people for trying to help. The Zero I knew made me a promise. And that promise was that he would marry me when we were older."
"(Y-yn)..." I point (y/w) at him. "There's one thing that you're wrong about."
"What's that."
"The truth is that when we were young, I was still a vampire."
My posture falters. "What?
Zero nods. "When my parents were killed, the pureblood vampire Shizuka turned me into one."
"Why..." I put down (y/w).
"What?"
"Why didn't you tell me that you were a vampire!" I scream at him.
"I didn't think that it was important. And besides, when we were young, didn't you say that you would love me no matter what?!" He now started shouting back. "You said that you didn't care what I was, as long as we got a 'happy ending'!"
I remember that... He got me... "Look," I begin, "I know what I said. And do you want to know what I'm thinking?"
"What"
"That I was dead wrong. Even if we get a 'happy ending', you will turn into a Level E. That's something that you can't stop from happening."
He sighs. "I know... And to be quite honest, I'm actually scared. I'm scared that when I go E, I wont be able to have a good life. I'll be hunted. The H.A. will make sure that I'm dead. They were reluctant to even let me join in the first place."
I put away (y/w) and walk towards Zero. "Then why didn't you tell me?! I could've looked past that years ago! But no, you had to do it now when I am part of the Hunters Association!" And once again, the tears begin to run down my face.
Seriously, can I not go a day without crying here?!
"I'm sorry..." Zero wraps his arms around me. My brain is telling me to push him away and call him every dirty name in the book, but instead, I listen to my body. And my body buries its face into his chest(Which is very muscular and strong... What is going wrong with me?!) and return his embrace. My cries quiets down as time goes on. "Ugh... Ahhh!" Zero suddenly yelps in pain.
"Zero!" He falls to the floor, his hand clutching his heart. "What's wrong? Tell me what hurts!" I search my head to figure out what to do, but I have nothing.
"Ev-every... Thing... I need..." He says in between pained breaths.
"What do you need?! Tell me damnit!"
"Blood!" And with that, Zero grabs me and puts his head in my neck, licking it, as if to see if I taste any good. No... Not again! I try to rip away from him, but his grip on me is too strong. The memory of all of those Level E vampires biting into me flood my mind. Save me! "Yagari!" I scream my dad's name right as Zero sinks his sharp fangs into my neck.
I scream. That's all that can be heard; other than the horses getting riled up by the noise that's being emitted from my mouth. "Yagari! Help me!" After I say that, I feel Zero stiffen underneath me. I take that chance to break away from him.
"(Y/n)!" Yagari rushes in, but stops when he sees the sight in front of him. Zero on the floor with my blood on the side of his mouth and me that's curled up in a tight ball crying again as I try to move away from the Level E. "Zero what the hell did you do to her!" Yagari's face distorted in anger. he runs over to him and grabs him by the collar when he says nothing. "I will ask you more time. What. Did you. Do. To. Her."
"I didn't mean to. I swear." Zero says in a hushed tone.
"You didn't answer my question!" Yagari clenches his hand into a fist and pulls it back.
"No!" I yell
"Toga, that's enough." Kaien's voice keeps Yagari from swinging his fist across Zero's face.
Toga turns to face the headmaster. "But he hurt (Y/n)! I can't let him get away with it!"
"Drop him Toga." The Headmaster says sternly. "I think its time that (Y/n) and Zero gets to know what's going on at the school."
Reluctantly, Yagari drops zero on the floor and walks over to me, wrapping his arms around me. "Yeah, I think so too."
Zero sits up straight. "Zero," the headmaster begins. "I bet you're wondering why Yagari and (Y/n) are here at the school." The level E nods. "The reason for this is because the H.A. has told me to pass a mission to not Toga, but to (N/n)."
"What's the mission?" I ask.
"Your mission..." Kaien furrows his brows and takes a big deep breath. He regains his posture and says, "(Y/n), your mission is to kill Zero Kiryu"
Both mine and Zero's eyes go wide; Zeros in shock, and mine in horror. "No! I refuse to do anything of the sort!" I yell.
"You have to. If you don't, then the H.A. will not only kill Zero, but they will kill you too." Kaien says.
I look at Yagari. "And you knew about this?" Toga can only nod. "Why didn't you tell me!" I push him away from me, causing him to be in the same position as Zero.
"I didn't tell you because I knew that you would act like this." He says in a small voice. "I knew that you would do everything in your power to try to persuade the H.A. to not kill him."
What the hell do I do?! I scream in my head. I dont want to kill Zero- I cant kill Zero. If I do, I will lose the one person that I know will make me happy... As I have a mini war in my head on what I should do, the headmaster breaks through my thoughts.
"Yagari, I think we need-"
Something clicks in my mind. I have an idea. "No, im not going to kill Zero and there is nothing the H.A. can do about it!" After I shout that, I grab Zero off the floor and run towards the schools front gate.

I thought that my previous chapters weren't long enough so I did my bets to make this lenghty. But I won't lie, I did type this during writers block. So sorry if there's some not okay things in here.
And another thing. I'm really busy with school so I might not be able to update for a while. Sorry!
