Harry's POV
I finished chucking the last of our stuff into our spacious tent. I climbed out and spotted Adeline chatting to Tess and Louis. I approached them and wrapped my arms around her waist. She jumped slightly in shock but looked up and smiled at me, making me feel butterflies instantly.
"Thanks for setting that up," she said.
"No worries babe," I said as I kissed her cheek.
"Is that Niall?" Tess asked. We all looked over to see Niall approaching us, followed by two other boys.
"Hey guys! I didn't know you were going to come," Niall said happily, hugging Tess and Louis.
"Hey Ni, nice to see you," said Adeline, getting out of my hold as she hugged him too. I nodded at him and wrapped my arm around Adeline again.
"Who're your friends?" asked Tess, nodding at the two guys.
"Oh right, this is Liam," Niall said, gesturing to a buff guy with brown hair styled upwards and a lot of facial hair.
"And this is Zayn," he said, pointing to the guy who's hair and facial hair was almost exactly the same as Liam's, except black. We all shook hands with the two boys, except Louis who gave them a bro hug.
"They're both 18, Louis and I know them through football," he finished. We all nodded.
"Nice to meet you," said Adeline, smiling at them. They smiled back.
"Where are you guys set up?" Tess asked.
"We only just arrived. We can stay near you if you want," said Niall.
"Sounds good, we'll help you," said Louis, pulling Tess along as well. They walked off, leaving me and Adeline alone. She turned her head and looked up at me.
"Are you ok Harry?" she asked, concerned. I nodded and pecked her on the lips.
"Yeah it'll still be fun. Besides, as Tess said, we don't have to socialise with everyone," I replied. She smiled and nodded. Niall, Louis, Tess, Zayn and Liam finished putting their tent and came back over to us.
"Come on people are handing out food!" said Niall, grabbing Adeline's hand and pulling her over to the camp fire. I glared at them but followed on. A few people had brought along a lot of barbeque meat and were cooking it on the grills they had at the campsite. The 7 of us got our food and sat down around the campfire. Adeline sat in between me and Liam. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders as we ate our food. She leaned her head on my shoulder and started a conversation with Liam. Suddenly Zayn came and sat next to me.
"Hello," he said.
"Hi," I said shortly.
"My name's Zayn," he said.
"Yeah I know, I'm Harry," I replied. He nodded.
"I'm guessing you two are together?" he said, pointing between me and Adeline. I nodded.
"You with anyone?" I asked. He nodded and at that moment, a pretty girl with short, dyed blonde hair sat beside him.
"This is my girlfriend Perrie," he said.
"Hi," she said smiling.
"Hello Perrie, I'm Harry," I said, smiling back and shaking her hand.
"So you know Niall and Louis?" I asked, turning my attention back to Zayn.
"Yeah I've been playing football with them for years, we're pretty close," he said nodding.
"And Niall invited you to come camping?" I asked.
"Yeah, thought it would be a bit of fun, you know?" he said. I nodded. Suddenly some dance music started blaring out of someone's car. People stood up and started dancing around the campfire. I smiled at some of their silly dance moves. Suddenly, my view was blocked by Adeline as she stood right in front of me.
"Would you join me for a dance?" she asked, holding her hand out and grinning at me. I smirked and crossed my arms.
"What if I don't want to?" I retorted playfully. She rolled her eyes and grabbed my hands. She tugged upwards with surprising strength. I was slightly lifted off the ground and was so in shock that I couldn't catch myself, so I fell backwards, pulling Adeline with me. She lightly landed on top of me. My eyes met hers and we burst out laughing.
"I'm sorry did I hurt you?" she said in between laughs.
"Not in the slightest," I chuckled, wrapping my arms around her waist. "You're surprising strong," I commented. She raised her eyebrows at me.
"I don't know if that's a compliment," she said. I chuckled.
"It is a compliment babe," I said, kissing her nose. She giggled and scrunched up her face. It was extremely adorable.
"I like this position," I murmured into her ear. She groaned and shoved my arm. I chuckled as she pulled herself off of me.
"Come on let's try this again," she said, holding out her hands. I grabbed them and she helped pull me to my feet. We made our way over to where everyone else was dancing. She started moving to the beat. She had great style and coordination and it was great to watch her body flow with the music. She looked at me and grinned.
"Come on Harry! Bust some moves," she laughed. I chuckled and started moving too. I grabbed her hand and spun her around. She giggled and did the same to me, although I had to bend down to get under her arm. Eventually the 4 boys and 2 girls came and joined us. At one point alcohol was offered to us. I took it without hesitating, being 18 and legally being able to drink. I also got one for Adeline. I held it out for her. She frowned slightly and shook her head.
"Harry I'm not 18 yet," she said.
"You're not?" I asked raising my brows in surprise. She nodded. I pouted slightly.
"Come on just have a bit," I said. She bit her lip.
"Please?" I added. She relaxed and took the cup.
"A little wouldn't hurt," she said shrugging and taking a sip. I grinned as we continued to dance. I remember being offered cup after cup, my vision getting blurrier after every one. Eventually I completely lost sense of myself and remembered nothing more.
I woke up curled up on the ground. I groaned, sat up and looked around. There were many people unconscious lying around on the ground. Paper cups also littered the ground. The campfire had reduced down to glowing embers. I must've gotten drunk and blacked out; I don't remember anything past my first drink. I slowly got to my feet and stumbled over to our tent. At the entrance I found Adeline, out cold too. Did she get drunk too? I bit my lip. I shouldn't have let her have a drink. I bent down and gently shook her. She stirred and let out a small moan. Her eyes opened and slowly focused on mine.
"Are you ok babe?" I asked, concerned. She didn't answer my question. She sat up, rubbing her temple.
"Where am I?" she asked, looking around dazedly.
"You're in our tent, where we're camping," I answered worriedly. She nodded and let out another moan.
"My head hurts Harry," she said unhappily. I frowned; I hated seeing her in pain. I pulled her into a hug, gently rubbing her back.
"I'm sorry Ade, I shouldn't have let you have a drink," I mumbled into her ear.
"It's ok Harry, don't worry about it," she whispered. I pulled away and kissed her gently on the lips. She kissed back, running her thumb over my jawline. I heard the tent beside us unzip. I pulled away from the kiss and looked over at the tent. Niall, Zayn, Tess and Louis fell out of the tent. I chuckled slightly at their disorientated state. Adeline and I approached them.
"How're you feeling?" I asked smirking. They all looked up at us, their eyes taking a while to focus.
"Ugh everything hurts," groaned Louis. I chuckled.
"Do you remember anything?" asked Zayn.
"Bits from the start," replied Adeline. I nodded in agreement. Suddenly a car pulled up near us and Perrie and Liam hopped out, holding a lot of coffee cups.
"We come bearing hangover cures, or coffee as some people call it," said Liam, grinning slightly at us.
"Liam you're a life saver!" cried Adeline, rushing forwards to grab a coffee. He chuckled at her reaction. We all followed and grabbed our own.
"Did you guys not drink?" asked Niall in shock as we all sipped out drinks
"Not too much," said Perrie.
"Smart guys," muttered Louis.
"What time is it?" Adeline asked.
"About 10 am," answered Liam, checking his watch.
We stood leaning against the cars for a long time, chatting to each other, watching as, slowly, people groggily stood up and stumbled around the area. It was very amusing to watch. At about midday we went back to our tents to get changed. It was a really hot day today. The weather out here was brilliant. Suddenly we heard someone raising their voice outside. Adeline and I poked our head out to look. Someone was standing on a log and making everyone quiet around them.
"There is a lake a short walks distance away from here so everyone that wants to go for a swim, get changed and we will be leaving in 10 minutes!" they shouted. Everyone rushed to their cars and tents.
"Want to go?" I asked Adeline. She nodded and grinned.
"Let's go!" she said excitedly.
"I'll get changed first," I laughed and she climbed out of the tent. I changed into THIS and swapped with Adeline. She stepped out and my jaw dropped. She looked spectacular. Her body was absolutely amazing and her SWIMSUIT hugged her curves perfectly.
"You look gorgeous," I said as I wrapped an arm around her waist and we walked over to the group of people waiting to leave. She giggled and blushed slightly.
"You're not too bad yourself," she laughed, poking my stomach. I grinned and kissed her forehead.
"You guys going for a swim too?" Louis asked as he stood next to us, followed by Liam, Tess and Niall.
"Yeah, where are Zayn and Perrie?" Adeline asked.
"They didn't want to come, I think Zayn was worried about ruining his hair," replied Liam, grinning. Adeline laughed at his comment and I slightly tightened my hold on her waist.
"Ok let's go guys," the guy called out and we followed him down the path. The walk was about 10 minutes before we came out of the trees and reached soft sand. The lake was very large with very clear and calm water.
"It looks amazing!" Tess exclaimed.
"I'll beat you in!" Louis cried, racing towards the water. Tess chased after him, both of them laughing like maniacs. Adeline smirked over at me, giving me a questioning look.
"Do you really want to do that? My legs are much longer than yours," I asked, smirking back at her. She shrugged and suddenly shot off. I was taken aback as I clumsily fell into a run behind her. I totally forgot that she runs like every night. I put on a burst of speed to catch up with her. I smirked as I caught up to her, thanking my long legs. I bent over and swept her up into my arms. She squealed and grabbed onto my arm.
"Harry! Seriously! You could have hurt me!" she scolded.
"But I didn't, did I?" I retorted. She rolled her eyes and I chuckled as we reached the water. I let her down onto her feet again. She splashed me with water.
"That's for giving me a heart attack," she said. I laughed and splashed her back. She scowled and splashed me again.
"You look cute when you're annoyed," I commented, grinning. She splashed me even harder.
"Ok you asked for it," I said and picked her up and dumped her into the water. She resurfaced, mouth round in shock, wiping the water from her eyes. Her eyes focused on me and she glared, it was actually quite frightening.
"Harry, you'll regret that," she growled, before starting to splash me endlessly. She stole my glasses and hat and splashed my face and hair. She continued for a long time before I started coughing and spluttering, having swallowed some of the water. She stopped and burst out laughing. I frowned at her as I tried to regain my breathing to normal.
"Hey I could have choked and died," I said. She shrugged and grinned.
"I could've hit my head and drowned," she retorted. I laughed, wrapped my arms around her waist from behind, picked her up and spun her around. She laughed and tucked her legs in. I spun around a few times before letting her down again. She turned to face me and I placed my lips on hers. She wrapped her arms around my neck and went on her tiptoes so she could reach my lips. I grinned and hugged her to me. Suddenly we were splashed by someone next to us. We gasped and fell apart. I turned to see Tess on Louis shoulders.
"I challenge you and Harry to a wrestling match on the boy's shoulders," Tess said. I looked at Adeline and she smiled.
"I'm game," she said.
"Stand with your legs apart," I ordered. She stood and I swam in between her legs. I stopped and stood up, picking her up onto my shoulders as I did so. She squealed slightly and grabbed onto my hair to steady herself.
"Ready?" asked Louis.
"You bet," said Adeline. We started wrestling. The match lasted for a few minutes before Adeline took Tess off guard and pushed her, sending Louis and Tess into the water. I laughed and put my hand up to get a high five.
"Nice one," I said.
"I am quite the sit-on-someone's-shoulders wrestle champion," she laughed. Tess and Louis resurfaced and glared at us.
"That wasn't fair," said Tess. I raised my brow at her.
"How was it not fair?" Adeline asked.
"I wasn't paying attention," Tess said, failing to remain serious.
"Too bad," I laughed. Adeline giggled. Tess glared at me and splashed me, and I splashed back. She splashed harder and pushed my chest. I went toppling backwards, Adeline too. We jumped up from the water and attacked Tess and Louis in a full on water fight. Soon Liam and Niall joined in. It went on for about 10 minutes before I grabbed Adeline's arm and pulled her out of the water.
"Cowards!" Niall shouted after us. I just stuck my middle finger at him.
"Adeline, Harry! Want to join?" Someone called. We looked over and saw some people playing beach volleyball on the sand.
"Yes let's play!" Adeline said excitedly as she ran over to the net. I ran after her.
"Ok Adeline on one team Harry on the other," they said.
"You're going down Styles," she said, mock glaring at me as she crossed to the other side of the net.
"In your dreams Leman," I replied smirking. She laughed and got ready as her team served the ball.
It was a good game, our team winning by just one point. I was extremely impressed with her sports skills. I didn't know she was that good at sport, but she looked magnificent as she ran around and even dived for the ball.
"You are really good at sport," I commented as we walked back to the camp site, my arm slung across her shoulders. She looked up at me and raised her brow.
"Didn't you know? I'm not really that good, I just have good hand-eye coordination," she replied, shrugging her shoulders.
"You're the best girl at sport in the school, better than a lot of boys," I retorted. She laughed.
"Yeah I'm sure that's totally accurate," she said sarcastically, brushing off my compliment. I rolled my eyes at her stubborn modesty but didn't argue.
"I'm going to shower," she announced.
"Do you want me to come?" I asked cheekily. She rolled her eyes and punched me in the arm.
"Those comments are really not needed," she said as she grabbed her toiletries and change of clothes from the tent. She started walking towards the bathrooms.
"Have fun!" I called after her. She stuck her thumb up over her shoulder. I laughed and turned to see Louis climbing out of his tent beside ours.
"Hey mate," I said.
"Hey Harry," he replied grinning at me.
"The swim was good today," I stated casually.
"Yeah it was fun," he replied.
"Yeah it was really fun," I said, emphasising the word "really". He looked at me oddly.
"Yeah," he said confused. I gave him a knowing look.
"What?" he asked, not catching on.
"How's Tess?" I said pointedly. His eyes widened slightly and he blushed.
"She's fine," he replied shortly.
"How are you and Tess?" I pressed. He stuttered slightly.
"I don't know w-what you mean," he said, obviously flustered. I chuckled.
"It's obvious you like her mate," I said, grinning at his state.
"What? It is?" he asked, slightly panicky.
"Don't worry, it is to everyone but her," I said. He shot me a look then sighed.
"I don't know what to do," he admitted.
"Just talk to her, when it's the right moment, just say I like you," I said. He nodded.
"I'll try," he said doubtfully. I patted him on the shoulder.
"You can do it," I said. He nodded and smiled.
"Thanks Hazza," he said.
"No worries," I replied. He walked over to talk to Zayn and Niall. I turned around and saw Adeline approaching me, her hair wet and wearing THIS. She looked stunning.
"You look beautiful," I said, hugging her and kissing her hair.
"And you smell good," I added. She giggled and pulled away.
"Go shower Harry, you need one," she said grinning. I faked a look of hurt.
"Do I really smell bad?" I asked.
"Yes, you do," she replied laughing. I chuckled and grabbed a change of clothes then headed off to the showers.
Adeline's POV
I watched Harry walk towards the showers before I headed over to my group of friends.
"Hey Adeline! I haven't had a chance to talk to you much," said Niall, wrapping me in a hug.
"Harry's been keeping you all to himself," he said quietly and winked.
"He is quite protective that boy," I laughed. He nodded then a more serious look passed over his face.
"He is treating you well isn't he?" he asked. I raised my brow at him.
"Yes he is," I replied slowly. He nodded.
"Good, it's just you never know with Harry," he mumbled. I smiled.
"Thanks for looking after me Ni," I said, hugging him, and he hugged me back. Over his shoulder I spotted Liam leaning against a tree. His head was bent low and he looked upset. I pulled away from Niall and headed over to him.
"Hey Liam," I said. His head snapped up and he looked at me.
"Oh, hi Adeline," he said quietly. I frowned.
"What's wrong Liam?" I asked gently. He sighed and looked away.
"Nothing, don't worry about it," he muttered. I stepped a bit closer to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. He jumped slightly at my touch and met my eyes again.
"Liam, something is obviously upsetting you," I said softly. He bit his lip and sighed again.
"My girlfriend broke up with me," he said. I frowned slightly.
"Oh, I'm sorry Liam," I said.
"She cheated on me with her ex," he added. My eyes widened in shock.
"I'm sorry that's terrible," I said, giving his shoulder a slight squeeze. He nodded and moved slightly closer to me.
"People kept telling me she wasn't good for me, but I didn't listen," he mumbled.
"Oh really?" I asked.
"Yeah, I guess I should have listened to other people's advice," he grumbled.
"Liam there are plenty of other girls that would love to be your girlfriend," I said sweetly. His lips curved into a small smile.
"Thanks Adeline," he whispered. He leaned down towards me and before I could think he had pressed his lips to mine. I stood shocked for a few seconds before pushing him off me.
"Liam! What are you doing!?" I asked. His eyes widened and he shook his head a few times.
"I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me! I was just upset about my girlfriend and you kind of remind me of her and I wasn't thinking. I'm sorry!" he cried, the words tumbling from his mouth. I sighed and walked away. I hurried over to the group of Louis, Tess, Zayn, Perrie, Harry and Niall. They were all chatting and laughing. I went right up to Tess and hissed in her ear.
"I need to talk to you." She looked at me and raised her eyebrows.
"About what?" she asked. I rolled my eyes.
"In private?" I asked.
"But wh-" I grabbed her arm and dragged her over behind her car.
"Ouch," she said, rubbing where I had gripped her. "What was so important that you had to-" But I cut her off again.
"Liam kissed me," I stated bluntly. Her eyes widened and she smacked her hand over her mouth.
"What?! What happened?" she exclaimed.
"Well he was upset about his girlfriend so I was comforting him, then he just leaned in and kissed me," I explained.
"What happened after?" she asked.
"Well he was apologising and saying I reminded him of his ex and stuff, but I kind of just walked away," I admitted, regretting not accepting his apology. Tess bit her lip.
"What do I do Tess?" I asked desperately.
"First, you should accept Liam's apology, I can understand where's he's coming from, and second you should tell Harry," she said. My eyes widened. Did she understand what she just said?
"Tell Harry?! Tess he will kill Liam," I said worriedly.
"Just explain to him and try and calm him down, he will listen to you," she said calmly. I looked at her doubtfully.
"Ok, but if Liam doesn't live for tomorrow, I blame you," I muttered. She laughed slightly and hugged me.
"It'll be ok hunny," she said.
"Ugh I don't know what I would do without you," I said grinning. We walked back to the group of people. Harry wrapped his arms around my waist and gave me a questioning look, but I mouth "later" to him. I hope this goes ok and Liam doesn't end up dead...
