After Ultron fiasco
Steve's POV
Tony stares at Bucky's mechanical arm and lets out a heavy sigh after a moment. "Yeah can't help you,"
"So you're saying there's nothing you can do? How is that even possible Stark?" Steve says as he stares at Tony in confusion.
"Well I can't help but I know someone who can, but she doesn't like me too much."
"She?" Bucky and Steve say in unison their looks matching confusion.
"Yes she," Tony says as he stands up and heads over to the bar a look of sadness filling his eyes. Steve glances at Bucky who just shrugs his shoulders.
"Do you think she'll help Bucky?" Steve says as he and Bucky walk over to the bar.
"If I ask her, No; but I know someone she likes so I'll have them ask her instead."
"Oh and who's that?"
"Barton,"
"Really? Are they?"
"NO! They are just friends and it better stay that way." Tony says causing the two super soldiers to give him a matching quizzical look. "Any who F.R.I.D.A.Y, can you contact Agent Barton and have him tell _____ we need her to come take a look at Bucky's arm."
"Right away sir," The female AI replies as Tony pours another glass of Scotch.
"So are you not gonna tell us how you know this _____?" Bucky says pushing Tony for information.
"Nope, get used to disappointment now Terminator," Tony says as he grabs the Scotch bottle and turns to head for the elevator only to be stopped when FRIDAY calls out, "Sir _____ is refusing to come to New York. She told agent Barton in i-quote 'There is no way in hell I am going to be in the same city let alone the same building as that old man that created a murderbot that tried to eliminate the human race.' What will you have me do?" Tony grips tightly to the bottle as the sadness in his eyes grows. Suddenly he calls out, "Then prep the quen-jet, Barnes, Rogers, and I are gonna be making a trip to Oklahoma."
"Right away sir." She replies and Tony turns toward them and says, "Anyone up for a road trip."
"Oklahoma?" Bucky asks clearly confused.
"_____ owns and operates a Garage there,"
"You're gonna have some mechanic look at my arm?"
"The garage is only part of it, you remember those Helicarriers?" Both Soldiers nod clearly remembering the events that occurred in DC. "She designed them." If Steve had been drinking anything he would have spat it out all over the billionaire.
"Are you serious?" Steve asks his voice full of shock.
"Yup, you could say it's in her genes." Tony says as the three of them walk into the elevator.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Steve asks not able to take the secrecy any more.
"You'll see soon enough. Oh I gotta make a stop before we head out."
"What for?"
"A Cap and Bucky teddy bear," Tony says causing both soldiers to stare at him in shock. "Don't look at me like that, it's not for me." Steve glances at Bucky who just shrugs his shoulders back at him. Steve groaned inwardly as he thinks about what kind of hell is waiting for them in Oklahoma.
