So this is my story about the man I loved and the man I love now. Either way you look at it its pretty screwed up. I'll begin with Darrin, either way would work but it all started with him.
Darrin was the type of guy a girl could fall for. Keep in mind I'm not the perfect girl for any guy. He was tall, handsome, funny, and a good singer. He made my life living hell though. I met him at Skate City one night on Christmas break. He was nineteen and I was fourteen. Funny how age matters to me now. I thought I was in love as soon as I seen him. Little did I know that even talking to him would cause problems for me.
We started talking and pretty soon I told him how I felt. He said he loved me and I believed him. It wasn't long after I told him I loved him back that my dad found out. The funny thing is that Darrin always said he'd never let me go, but whenever dad found out we were back together he ran away like a scared little puppy. Every time my dad broke us up we got back together. Whenever I could I spent my time with him. He made me feel special, wanted, and loved. Cuddling with him was like heaven for me, but kissing him was like being on cloud nine.
After the last time that we broke up I found out he had been cheating on me. He was sleeping with about three other girls. It shattered me and broke my heart to pieces. I never had sex with him, but I had offered more than once. Each time I did he would say no, that he was a gentlemen and he would wait until after I was out of school. I blamed myself for everything, from the fights we had to his cheating.
He contacted me after that last time and I didn't know what to think. I still loved him but I couldn't let myself get hurt again.
