Can't you just see it? A lovely, happy couple? Because I can. I can see myself making you breakfast when I woke up before you on a Saturday. I can see "welcome home" kisses. I can see us cuddling on movie nights. I can picture myself reading in a chair while you read or watch tv or whatever it is that you do. I can see us buying our first house. I can see us getting into a paint war while trying to paint the kitchen. I can see us laying in our backyard, looking up at the stars. I'm not going to lie- I've done what most romantics do and pictured a proposal. Don't worry- it wasn't while sky diving or anything like that. It was just a cute, normal, one-kneed proposal. Ha, I've even made deals with Siera and Beth- if they know he's/she's (it might not be you but I'm kinda hoping it is) going to propose, they're supposed to help pick out the ring (so it's entirely perfect) and take pictures because I want the moment to stay fresh in my mind forever.
Another odd thing I can see: kids. I know it's crazy but I love them and every time you talk about kids I can see you holding a little boy who looks just like you or a little girl who could be my twin (given twenty some years).
If this scares you, I'm sorry.
I can see us decorating for parties. I can see Christmases, with and without being woken up at six am by an excited six year old. I can see sleepless nights and rough days at work. I can see pets and yes- sometimes I can even see a little pug army. I see prom. First dances. I see joy and festiveness, as well as anger and frustration. I can see you teaching a little girl how to ride a bike, or having the most awkward "talk" with a pre-teen boy. I don't know why I can see these things and more but my point is I can. And I see them with you. I love you.
