Thank you

Thank you for ignoring me, my first love

You made me see that love is truly blind

Thank you the older girls

At age eleven, you made me see

The girl that I could never be

Or even want to be

Thank you, my first sisters

For helping me along the way

I learned that ignorance is bliss

And 7 eleven slurpees are a good excuse for being late

Thank you, my biological father

For helping me express myself

And being a good example ofwhy

I will never let emotions control myself

Thank you, all the children

Making me feel like a god 

When you gaze upppon me and repeat everthing I do

But I'mmost thankful for the heartbreaks

Because I realize that you never really know what people go through

So when I break free from my prison cell

I thank you

Because you make me a fighter

A stronger person

And for that I award you
