The sun reflected off the blade of the dagger. They tightened ropes that held the white wolf down. I was holding onto Daniel's hand not wanting to witness another sacrifice.
Every time we loose a large group we will choose the strongest wolf we have and kill them.This time we lost 15 men in a rogue attack.
Our leader, james, dipped the dagger in the pot that held a small portion of silver. A hissing noise filled the empty air and he slowly stirred the dagger in the pot.
Me eyes concentrated on the wolf. He was white except for his nose and paws. The rope cut into his skin, you can tell by how his white fur is slowly being stained with red.
His bright blue eyes met mine. I blinked and suddenly the wolfs eyes turned to a dark blue. He stared at me then I saw it.
I droped Daniel's hand as the images flashed in my mind. The wolf's name was Caleb. He had an mate, images of his mate filled my mind.
They were at school, he noticed the strong sent of cherries and saw his mate. She had red hair and green eyes. Then another image came, he's pacing back and forth listening for something.
A pack doctor came and ket him through the door. His mate was there and holding a little pup. Then I saw other images his daughter first walk the firat time he kissed his mate.
Then I relized something, these were memories.
I closed my eyes watching all these memories pass through my mind. A wimper exploded breaking the silence. My eyes snap open and saw Luke digging and twisting the dagger into the wolf.
One stab, twist, two stab twist.
'Help me.' the voice was deep I look at the wolf to show him that I heard his message. His eyes flicked towards something beside me. I look and theirs Daniel, I saw that he had his gun strapped around his thigh.
I look at Caleb in question to make sure he wanted me to do this.
'Yes please'.
I grabbed the the gun. Daniel pushed me away in surprise and land on my side. I take the safety off and pionted the gun at the Caleb.
I squeeze my eyes shut and pull the triger.
Two shots go off and Caleb's voice softly echoed in my mind
'Thank you little one'
