"I'm sorry what?" Clara tilted her head in disbelief.
"You heard me." Dean adjusted his brown leather jacket which matched his backpack.
"Am I single?"
"She's a slow one." the boy flashed a smirk at Amy. Amy crossed her arms and mimicked his smirk along with a slight eyebrow raise.
The sound of rushed footsteps distracted them.
"Claraaaaa!" As the voice went on, the pitch was raised.
Clara spun around and shot the oncommer, Matt, a look.
"What?" He asked as he introduced himself to the new students, "I'm Matthew, call me Matt if you wish. And you two must be Amelia Pond and Dean Winchester. Amelia Pond, huh, sounds like a name from a fairy tale" His flirtation was weak but it still brought a smile to the girl's lips.
"She prefers to be called Amy and why are you here Matt?"
Matthew spun around and fixed his hair, "You also have another meeting with a concerned Boys Lacrosse member and they are bringing along the new Girls Lacrosse captain who would like to speak to you"
"That's fine. Move the LARP meeting to lunch and I'll meet with the lacrosse players after school"
"Done and done!" Matthew scribbled in his pocket notebook and nodded at the president. He flashed a wide smile at Amy before running off again.
Clara let out a deep sigh and rubbed her eyes.
"I like him" Amy voiced her thoughts.
"He's a heart-breaker. I recommend you not to hang out with him but do what you want; I'm not your parent"
The two new students remained silent as Clara began to guide them around the school. She showed them the gym, indoor and outdoor pool, the track, the football field, and a few empty classrooms to give them a gist of what classes were like there. After this was completed, it was time for lunch. Just before the bell rang Clara gave the two their schedules and told them that they could sit at her table at lunch if they wished.
"Will Matthew be there" Amy questioned immediately.
"You don't waste any time do you?" Clara questioned, feeling a budding romance coming on with them. "Yes, he'll be there".
"Count me in"
Clara nodded and looked over to Dean who was texting someone on his phone with a worried expression. She knew better than to ask what was wrong and just nodded and rushed to the lunch room.
The bell rang loudly; it resembled a distorted love child between a jail cell opening and a doorbell. As soon as it beckoned her peers to rush to lunch, Clara started jogging towards the room. She looked a bit insane and strange but she didn't seem to care. She was one of the first students to grab her lunch. Obviously right after the fastest and most "noble" in the school, Danny Pink.
"Clara hey" The dark boy grinned softly.
"Hello Mr. Pink" Clara stated dully as she paid for her lunch.
"Mister? I'm no teacher nor will I ever be one. I'm going to be a military officer one day" He retorted suddenly.
"Right. You and a billion little boys throughout the galaxy"
"Clara, why are you acting like this? Are you on edge 'cause your father is in town?" Danny followed behind her as she started to walk over to her regular table. He then lowered his voice and attempted to lean closer to her ear, "Are your nightmares back?"
Clara froze and snapped her head around, "Don't you dare". Her voice was low and dangerous as if she could break his soul with a few simple words.
Danny stood there, unsure of what to do. He found it was the best to leave her alone for a bit but suddenly ignored this gut feeling, "I just want you to be happy, Clara; you deserve to be happy".
"Do not tell me what you think I do or do not deserve" Her voice rose and some people started to turn around, "and how come you all of a sudden care about my well being? Hmm?"
"I-I just-"
"You just what?! You know what Danny?" Clara let out a deep sigh and with her free hand, fixed her hair. "Just leave me alone because if you really cared about me and my health, you wouldn't of have slept with several other girls while dating me"
Some kids made "ooo" and "oh shiiiit" noises nearby.
Danny stood there dumbfounded as Clara strode away towards her table. She plopped down, dropping her salad onto the table.
"You look furious" Peter thought out loud as Clara sat. She made a sarcastic expression towards him. "Was it soldier boy?" He asked with a small knowing smirk.
She only glared at him until she began to bark at Matt who was already flirting with Amelia who packed a lunch. "Smart girl..." Clara thought to herself as she glanced at the long lunch line.
"The LARP pres should be here any moment" Matthew told her quickly before stealing a fishfinger from Amy's box.
Clara muttered under her breath about being stressed out because of her ex, along with a few expletives, as she opened her salad and began eating at it.
After a few minutes, a decent enough time for Clara to contain herself, the LARPing president arrived and sat in front of her after Peter moved to the side.
"So sorry I'm late. I had a... a... thing" The brown haired boy sheepishly grinned as he fixed his maroon cap. He looked a bit like a roman soldier.
Clara dismissed the thought of his attire and stuck her hand out to shake with his, "I'm Clara Oswald, President of the Senior class"
"Oh- um" The boy stood. He seemed pretty small for their age and his eyes seemed the bulge out of his skull a bit. His jaw-line resembled one of a roman god though. He shook Clara's hand and introduced himself, "I'm Rory Arthur Williams"
Clara politely grinned, nodded, and dropped his hand. She pulled out a notebook and pushed her lunch to the side. "I see you have some complaints about a lack of members and funding" She spoke respectfully and looked up to Rory staring at Amelia. Amy noticed, one could tell by the vile expression she shot at him. he immediately looked down and started fidgeting in his seat.
"Mr. Williams" Clara attempted to grab his attention.
"Huh?" His head snapped up as his eyes landed on her.
Clara let out a short breath before repeating her previous statement.
"That is correct" He nodded in agreement.
"Alright, I-" Clara started before being interrupted by her other friend.
"Well" the boy began with a dramatic tilt of his head, "just get more members! That otta do it" his proud face took clara's words. She glared at him.
The boy was David, an overly intelligent boy who definitely wanted to show it off. He flashed a crooked smile at Clara as he and his girlfriend Rose sat by them at the table. David was pretty tall and for some reason insisted on wearing a brown trenchcoat, just as Matthew insisted on wearing a bowtie. They were strange. Clara never gave it much thought. However, Rose brutally accepted it as she does with everything David does. She does call him out on things sometimes and no matter how infuriated they are at each other, they have a tendency of working it out. They believe and support in one another. It's quite sweet.
Rory looked at David as he spoke and said a short hello to Rose who mouthed it back as she hit David on his back for being rude; Mr. Williams looked back at Clara with a confused expression.
"As I was saying" Clara dragged her glare away from David, "You need to obtain more members before I can provide you of more funding for events. I recommend posters and I'll speak to Newspaper into getting them to advertise the club in the school paper and website. That's really all I can do until you get at least ten members". She made a strained expression to show that was her limit of power.
"Where will I get seven more people!" Rory raised is voice and leaved over the table.
Suddenly, a lunch tray was dropped next to Clara startling her though the person didn't seem to notice. "I'll join the thing. Whatever it is" a masculine voice spoke as it sat down. Clara could feel the boy's body warmth. It seemed to radiate off of him.
"Thanks!" Rory beamed at him then made a face, "whoever you are and it's a LARPing club. It stands for Live Action Roleplay"
"Action Roleplay, I know what it is" It was Dean. He fixed his hair as he spoke with the president.
"I like him already" Rory spoke to whomever would listen.
"Get in line" A random voice spoke with an obvious hint of lust and mischief in it.
Everyone who was sitting looked up at the individual, it was Meg. She definitely looks much better now compared to the year prior. She now had black hair and decent curves. She filled up her body with something aside from vegan snacks.
"Meg!" Peter was the first to speak, "can you get your whore-ass out of here?". He always spoke his mind.
Meg looked a bit offended but not in the least bit shocked. Peter has hated the girl since freshman year. She tried to get him to sell his soul? She had a demonic period which caused most people to avoid her for quite sometime.
"Finally! Someone is getting the right idea around here" a distinct male voice with a thick accent approached.
The group's gaze shifted onto the boy. He was short and wore all black, sorta seemed like a goth kid but there weren't many cliques or stereotypes at the school.
"Shut up, Crowley" Peter stated, growing tired of the unwanted visitors.
"It's King to you" Crowley responded coldly with a prideful grin.
Rory immediately spun around, "Wanna join my LARPing club?"
"LARP? What-what is that?" Crowley's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the other boy.
Dean had begun eating his school provided lunch and Matthew and Amy went back to conversing about countries that an average being wouldn't have knowledge of. Peter played with an apple he brought and took a bite out of it as he watched the interactions.
"Live Action Roleplay. You could actually be a King there and people will treat you like one" Rory informed him with a hopeful smile.
"I am already a!- wait did you say they must treat me like a King? No questions and nonsense?" Crowley was intrigued. Clara grew annoyed, wanting to get on with the meeting but she realized this interaction assisted her client.
"That's the point" Rory nodded he mouthed "what the fuck" to Clara before looking back at Crowley.
"Then I will join this club!" He announced. Meg rolled her eyes and walked away just after she slid her phone number into Dean's backpack. He seemed uninterested and unmoved.
"Okay. Meetings are every Tuesday from 2:05pm to 3:30pm" Rory continued then gave Crowley a thumbs up as the gothic bow strutted away.
"He's a bit weird" Clara stated and Rory nodded.
"So you'll do all that for me?" Rory asked her, referring to her previous offers.
"Of course but you need five more members by next friday. That's the deadline" She told him as the bell dismissing lunch rang. "Good luck!"
"I'm going to need it..." Rory frowned and set his head on the table. Clara and the rest of the group stood up, grabbed their things, and threw out their trash.
As they were all heaving to their fifth period class, Clara yawned and ran a hand through her hair. She was a bit stressed out but that came with the job so it barely fazed her.
"Hey Clara" Dean called out to her as he walked up to her side.
"Yes Dean?" She questioned as the walked together.
"You never answered my question"
"It doesn't matter" She stated honestly not remembering the question, she glanced at his schedule in his hands and looked at it.
"We have the same fifth hour" She pointed out to distract him.
"Yeah cool- but the question. You're single right? I asked a few of the guys in my other classes and they just laughed or shook their head at me, said someone's gonna come for me. I'll fight the son of a bitch off if he does anything"
Clara shook her head at Dean's antics, "Yes I'm single and they're talking about my ex who wants me back but he cheated on me and I don't condone cheating"
"Well good. You're smart for doing that" Dean spoke, more relaxed this time.
"Yeah, well tell me about it. Anyways, are you going to the game tomorrow night?"
"There's a game?"
"I'm taking that as a maybe"
Dean chuckled lightly, "I'll go, is it alright if I take my baby brother?"
"Of course, what's his name" Clara smiled gently.
"Sam, he's in the middle school currently and he's extremely smart and he already made many friends and..." He went on and on.
Dean beamed when he talked about his younger sibling. It was the most lively Clara has ever seen him, given it was his first day.
"and.. yeah". By the time he finished, the two were already in their next class.
"I'll pick you two up then. Okay?" Clara offered and took a seat near the back of the class. Dean took the
"What time?
"The game begins at around seven so I'll get you at six thirty?" She pulled out her pen and a random notebook; she had a lot of them.
"Alright" Dean smiled at her. It felt different considering he seemed like the unbearably smothering bad boy type, Clara was happy that he wasn't that type.
"So can I consider this our first date?" Dean cleaned over and whispered with a playful smirk.
