Molly's POV

The light poured in from my window just reaching my eyes. I really don't want to get up, but my internal clock tells me it's somewhere around noon so we need to.

My muscles groaned in protest as I sat up in my bed. My eyes felt droopy and my head kind of hurt. Even though i haven't even looked into a mirror, I could already tell that my hair was going to be a huge mess, worse than usual.

Today was just one of those mornings.

"Olivia, wake up!" I said as I climbed up her ladder and poked her. She didn't budge.

"Olivia, come on! Wake up birthday girl!" I said pushing her a little this time. Still no sign of her living, let alone waking up.

Hm, what could I do to wake her up? I got it!

"Oh my god! The Janoskians are in New York City!" I screamed in her ear. She immediately shot up with her eyes bulging out of her head.

"What? Where? Come on Moll; we need to get dressed!" she screamed at me. I just got down from her bed laughing and walked over to my closet.

"They're still in Australia, Olivia! I just needed to get up so we can go out," I told her with a devilish smile on my face. I didn't turn around, but I could feel her eyes shooting daggers at me.

"Fine, but it doesn't mean I'm happy about this, or that you have my forgiveness," she told me. I could feel her smile in the air, indicating that I was, in fact, forgiven.

I turned back to my closet to change. I picked out some regular, blue skinny jeans, a white, button down blouse tucked in, a black leather jacket, and red cowgirl boots.

I faced Olivia to see her wearing white, flowered, high-waisted skinny jeans, a loose, sky blue tank top tucked in, a beige, thick sweater, and light pink oxfords.

Next was the makeup part of this routine, which always was the shortest. I didn't really like makeup.

I just threw on a little foundation, powder, mascara, and a bright red lipstick. I don't like a lot of makeup, but I have about sixty different shades of lipstick. Olivia wasn't ready yet so I went into the living room to clean up.

I put the empty bags and cupcake wrapper in the empty bowl, but I couldn't find Olivia's wrapper. But then I looked around and realized the wrapper was still on the cupcake.

How strange. Olivia loves Delights, she always has. Maybe she was too full to eat it, but I try and remember if she even touched the popcorn or chips last night. I didn't think she did.

As a matter a fact, I don't even remember what she had during our lunch period yesterday, and how she declined pancakes yesterday.

I'm shocked I didn't notice this earlier, but I don't want to confront her now. Maybe it will pass. Hopefully.

Olivia's POV

I was ready now, so I walked into the living room to see Molly eating a bowl of Lucky Charms as she watched Spongebob. I swear, sometimes this girl could act like a 3- year old.

"Come on Molly! Lets go!" I screamed at her. She obeyed and got to her feet, but before she started walking, she grabbed her belt loops and did a little jump so as to pull her pants up more efficiently.

"Alright, while we are getting you a dress, we must get me a new pair of blue jeans because my Nicki Minaj ass is getting a tinsy bit to big for these SUPER skinny jeans!" she said as we both walked out the door.

"Oh, and I'm still hungry. So might as well feed the Nicki Minaj ass some delicious egg sandwiches from Franks! PLEASE?!?" She screams at me.

She gives me her signature puppy dog face and batted her eyelashes. Who can say no to a face like hers? I nod and she throws her hands up in triumph.

I just smile, grab my purse and walk out the door. Molly grabs her purse and follows behind me.

"Me and Olivia are going shopping! We'll call you when we are on our way back!" Molly screamed into the apartment.

"Alright! I love you and be safe!" I heard my dad scream.

"Love you!" we both screamed simultaneously. We took the elevator down to the lobby and walked out the hotel after we said goodbye to Linda and I waved shyly at Scott.

Now we were outside, and the crisp breeze of March nipped at our cheeks and the people were bustling about, off to their jobs I assume. It was a beautiful day in New York City.

Molly was already off down the block as she led us to her favorite breakfast diner, Franks. I felt my phone vibrate, and I looked to see it was Josh calling.

"Hey babe, what's up?" I heard him say. Molly slowed down so she was walking next to me.

"Nothing much, just getting out to feed Nicki Minaj her second breakfast and then a bit of shopping," I said cheerfully over the phone. Molly just shook her rear to show me that indeed, her ass needed feeding.

"Ah, I see. Molly is always the hungry one," he said to me. Even though I couldn't see him, I knew he was wearing his quirky smile, my favorite one.

"Well anyway, I was calling to see if you were too busy to take time out for your favorite lab partner and brother. Mind if we catch a train and meet you at one of the shops at about one?" He asked. I know when he said brother he meant Shane.

Shane is one of my best guy friends. We began being friends when we had a CreativeWriting class.

He was that kid in class that always sat in the back not paying attention, but instead, he who wrote for all the forty minutes.

He also never got in trouble for it because he wrote so well, that the teacher couldn't possibly penalize him. Shane wrote perfectly, and all without assistance from any teacher.

And one day, when I was driving to school, I saw him running because he was late. I pulled over and offered him a ride. Ever since then, we have been fighting like siblings and loving each other like siblings.

"I don't mind as long as you don't mind shopping for clothes with two girls," I told him. Molly lifted an eyebrow and I waved her off.

"Don't mind a bit. So I'll just text you when we're about to leave," he said. I could tell that he was still smiling.

"'Kay, so I'll see you then," I answered.

"Right, see ya," he said. I smiled and ended the call, quickly throwing my phone back in my bag.

"So, it's Josh isn't it?" Molly screamed at me. Oh my god, she was crazy.

"Jesus, Molly, can't you wait until we go inside to bombard me?" I asked her as I dragged her inside Franks.

"The usual girls? Egg sandwich and black coffee?" he said. I smiled, which he returned gladly.

We took our seats at the counter and waited for our food to come so we could begin talking. As I took small sips of my coffee, Molly took huge bites of egg, cheese, and bacon while asking me questions a million miles a minute.

"So, do you like Josh?" she quickly asked. Right to the point, I see. I rested my elbows on the counter and put my head in my hands.

"Honestly Molly, I think so. But the truth is, I'm scared. He is so funny, smart, handsome, charming, generous, happy, confident, and all around a good guy. I'm just, I don't know," I took a deep breathe," I'm just me."

"Olivia, I want to say that Josh would actually be the stupidest guy on earth to reject you. Right now, he is the luckiest guy on Earth. He has a girl like you admiring him," she said through mouthfuls of the grease and calories. Oh my god, I love her.

"Thanks for that Moll, but I'm still hesitant. You're obligated as my best friend to say stuff like that. I won't be positive until I hear it from him," I said.

"Hear what?" she asked quizzically. That's a good question, what do I want to hear?

"That I'm not 'just me'. That there is something he could want," I said.

I honestly don't even know. This is really confusing. Josh and I have gotten weirdly close over these last few months, and I'm closer with him then some people I've known since kindergarten.

"How about we just see what happens? Let life roll it out," she said as she wiped her hands. I can't believe she ate this fast, but she is a hungry child. I just nodded slowly.

"Thanks Frank! Perfect as usual!" Molly screamed as we walked towards the door.

"No problem Molly! Coming back tomorrow?" He asked as he began wiping the counter with a hand towel.

"Do you know me at all?" she said with a huge smile.

"I'll see you tomorrow girls! Be safe!" he screamed as we head out the door. The cool breeze kissed my face and I smiled. I think today is going to be a great day.

*2 hours later*

"I can't believe we haven't found the dress yet!" Molly screamed.

We were just walking out of Forever 21. Just like the five stores we visited previously, it didn't have a dress I wanted. I couldn't even bear to pick up a dress and try it on.

We were so unsuccessful and we were beginning to think there's no hope. My phone started to buzz.

"Hey Josh, you on your way?" I said into my phone.

"Yeah, we're on the train. Where are you?"

"We're in front of Forever 21, so we'll meet you here but if we move I'll text you."

"Ok, well I know you're going to move so we'll head to Forever 21, call you, and just let me -," he stopped.

"Shane! Do not poke the homeless guy! He is trying to sleep!" he screamed. Oh my god, Shane is such a freak.

"Alright, alright," I looked ahead of me. Molly had walled off, "But listen I got to go, Molly ran ahead and I'm going to lose her! Ill call you when we stop somewhere," I managed to say because I started running after Molly. I giggled because the people walking by me were giving me weird looks.

"Haha, okay. I'll see you soon! Mwuah!" he said. I could perfectly imagine him fruitily blowing me a kiss. A laugh escaped my throat.

"Haha! Alright, byyyyeeeeee," I said to him, dragging out the end a bit longer then I should have.

It wasn't a struggle to catch up to Molly, but when I reached her, my breathe was a little short.

"Alright, so Josh and Shane are on there way. Do you want to keep looking or take a breather?" I asked her. We walked down a street with barely any people on it. She shook her head and kept walking. I sighed and walked after her.

Maybe we'll have more luck looking around little tiny shops instead of going into popular, crowded ones.

We walked for about two more blocks in silence, just enjoying each others company. The soft wind brushed our faces and the quiet shuffles of our feet on the sidewalk filled our ears.

"You know I can just wear a dress at home," I said to Molly. I'm pooped; I don't think we'll be able to find a dress either.

"No way! We've been walking all day! We aren't giving up now! This is your seventeenth birthday! We are not going to settle for a dress that comes out of your-" Molly stopped abruptly. She stopped walking, and she froze completely.

For a moment I was really confused. She just stood there staring at nothing. But after following her eyes, I noticed it.

A little shop; almost invisible if you didn't know it was there. It looked old and dusty, but in the window was a display of the cutest dresses I've ever seen.

These dresses weren't loud or skanky; they were chic and classy. And on the window, in a pale pink color was the store name. Bella's Beauties.

I looked back over at Molly. She has the biggest smile on her face. Before I knew it, the corners of my lips were turning up to mirror hers.

I grabbed her hand, and we walked inside. Maybe we'll find some luck here.

You all hate me, I'm convinced. I had the worst writers block ever. The first 75% took about a half an hour to write. The last 25% took a month. I'm so sorry, you all hate me, but here it is, if you're even reading it :/

Anyway, I hope you liked it :)
