"Welcome home!" Lea cried in delight as we pulled up to an enormous house; not quite a mansion but definitely larger than an average house.

"This is home? I don't think I've ever seen anything so... Expensive in my entire life!" I stared in awe at this beautiful piece of architecture: my new home. It was a large, modernized house; it couldn't have been more that 5 years old.

One thing that stuck out to me is the size of the garage. It was quite large for this family, and it made me wonder how large her family was exactly.

"So, who exactly am I competing against to win your favor in this household?" I asked carefully. I didn't want to seem too pushy and make the wrong impression. I would like to stay here for more than a month, actually.

"Well, that's one thing you're going to have to get used to. I have 5 children and a husband. My husband's name is Lewis, my oldest, Kirkland, is 17, next is Asa, he's your age, 15. Next is Jack and Aaron, Jack is 13 and Aaron is also 13. Aaron was adopted like you. Anyway, my last child is Benedict, Ben for short, and he's 6." Lea listed proudly.

I was processing this information for quite some time. "Honey, are you okay?" Lea asked, putting a hand in my shoulder.

"Yeah, just, 5 kids? All boys? Cute names, by the way. But 5 boys?" I muttered in disbelief. Going from an only child who was home alone most of the time to a highly-connected large family was not going to be easy.

"Yep. Sorry I didn't tell you before, I really am sorry." Lea apologized as we parked in the garage.

I hopped out of the car and took a deep breath. "Ready to meet the family?" Lea asked, patting my shoulders in reassurance.

"Let's do this."

We stepped inside and the smell of some fresh-baked sweet distorted my senses for a mere second.

"Please tell me whatever that smell is tastes as good as it smells." I pleaded Lea and she laughed.

"Trust me, it tastes even better." She replied leading me to their large, two-level living room. The first part of the room that lead to the kitchen had amber-brown hardwood flooring and a few bookshelves. Stairs then lead down to a second levels, filled with coffee tables and recliners and a large television (oh my!).

"Have I died and gone to heaven? Do you get BBC here?" I asked impatiently.

Lea laughed at me. "I sure hope you haven't died, and yes, we do."

"Have I mentioned how much I'm loving all of this?" I looked around the room, my eyes inspecting every single detail of the space like a teenage girl version of Sherlock.

"Oh, you're going to love it even more." I heard a male voice from behind me and jumped.

"Kirk, don't scare the poor girl out of her wits!" Lea chastened. Kirkland just laughed and shook my hand.

"Kirkland Brier, and you are?" He asked with a smirk, kissing the top of my hand.

"Well, first off, not interested, and second, Ema-Lee. Not Emily, Ema. Lee. Two names in one." I explained.

Kirkland blushed and walked out. Oh, who was I kidding? That boy was a Abercrombie&Fitch model walking around in my new home. Of course I was interested.

Incest, I thought. Bad, Ema-Lee. That's incest!

The next to show his face was a young kid, quite cute with dark brown curls and crystal blue eyes with a spectrum of other colors blended in.

"Mommy! Kirk came and told me you were home! Who are you?" The little boy demanded.

I crouched down to eye level with the kid. "My name is Ema-Lee, what's yours?"

"I'm Benedict, it's nice to meet you, Emily!" Benedict bounced off into the kitchen while I slapped myself across the face.

That boy is going to tell his brothers my name is Emily. This will be fun to explain.

"It's Ema-Lee!" I called after him, but I could already hear him chattering away with another male.

I found it quite ironic that his name was Benedict, had curly dark brown hair, and mainly blue eyes with a multitude of other colors mixed in. He was like a mini Cumberbatch, Benedict was.

I heard the chatter stop and my heart leaped into my throat when I saw the next Brier child walk in.

"Hello, I'm Asa, and you're Emily, nice to meet you." He greeted with an innocent smile.

"It's actually Ema-Lee, like the names Emma and Lee combined. But nice to meet you too." I smiled back and held back from saying anything aloud.

Incest! The word kept nagging at the back of my head. Incest!

I couldn't let it overpower my own thoughts though. This boy was perfect. Not like his brother, but in a different way. He seemed like a boy you would read about in a book, he seemed kindhearted and sweet. Like a prince of some sort.

"Ema-Lee? Are you okay?" Asa asked, clicking his fingers in front of my face.

"Yeah, I'm alright. I just zoned out. That happens sometimes." I said, regretting it immediately.

Smooth, Ema-Lee. Smooth.

"I asked if it was alright if I just called you Ema. It's a bit easier." He asked, sounding proper.

Incest. Stop it, this is incest!

"I uh, have to go. Lea, can you show me my room?" I asked, grabbing her arm.

"Is that a yes or a no?" Asa called after us.

"Sure, why not?" I called back. I could think of a million reasons why not, it's just the fact that two words were blurring out my other thoughts that caused contradictions.

Perfect.

Incest!

"Ema-Lee! Are you ready to go shopping?" Lea called from downstairs. I was still sitting on my bare bed in awe of the gigantic room.

"Yeah, one second!" I ran over to my closet and tossed my backpack in. "Coming!"

I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen where Lea was waiting. "Ready?"

"Never been more ready." I replied, rubbing my hands together.

"Go get in the red car, the one I took you home in. I'll be outside in a second." Lea instructed and shooed me away.

I walked into the garage and opened the car door. Once I sat down, I turned on the radio and sat back.

"Hello there!" A voice from behind me greeted.

I screamed and whirled around.

"What are you doing here?"

A/N~

Hello! Two updates in two days? Oh yeah.

Who do you think is in the back of the car? There hasn't been a lot of characters introduced yet, but just take a whack in the dark.

If not obvious, I am a HUGE Sherlockian and Whovian. Don't judge.
