Forever Lost

Goodbye

I never in a million years thought that I would have to say goodbye to the greatest man on earth. On the fifth day in ICU we where told that we were going to loose him. On that day they were going to turn off his life support. Because dad was an organ donor they had to prep the recipients of his organs so they gave us one more day.
On the fifth day I said goodbye. The biggest goodbye I would ever give him. I drew a picture for him to show that I loved him and so he new that I would always be there for him. So he would never feel lonely.
It was a surprise to hear that he had an extra day. I didn't go into the hospital that morning. I stayed at home with all of my aunties, uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers looking after me. My mum was with dad at the time. The day before I said goodbye and I felt gutted that I didn't again.
