I think I saw you in my sleep.
I think I saw you in my dreams.
You were stitching up the seams,
Of every mangled promise you couldn't keep.
I think I saw you in my sleep.
Filling in holes that were deep,
Of every terrible thing you've ever seen.
I think I saw you in my dreams.
Erasing the memories of every broken dream.
Scratching out every goal you couldn't reach.
I saw you in the street looking relieved for forgetting everything.
