Calypso missed her twin sister like crazy, but she knew this was for the best. Well, what she thought was the best, although her sister didn't agree. Her wavy, long, dark hair flowed in waves down her back over her black angel wings. No one except her family knew about her wings and that was the way she intended to keep it. Even though her wings had saved her life on more than one occasion, she was afraid of the consequences if she was discovered. That she did not want.
She was born with slits on her back but her wings didn't really start to develop until she was about 5. She also had invisibility skills, which came along with her wings, so she could keep her wings (and, if she chose to, herself) invisible if she needed to. No one in her family knew why she was like this, but none of them cared. They all accepted her as she was.
Growing up, Calypso was home schooled. The main reason being to avoid potential discovery about her wings, because she and her family knew that if she was discovered, she would most likely end up dissected and experimented on because it's not normal for a human to have large, black angel wings. She never officially met any of Kirstie's friends either. When Kirstie decided to go on The Sing Off with her new acappella group, Pentatonix, Calypso knew that it was time for her to disappear. She promised herself and her parents that she would keep an eye on her sister to make sure that she was safe.
She was currently at one of Pentatonix's shows (she is at pretty much every single Pentatonix concert), sitting atop one of the rails on the ceiling, unnoticed in the darkness by all the screaming fans. She was watching her sister with a smile on her face. She closed her eyes and listened as her sister's voice echoing through the venue in her solo. Kirstie was still short, but had matured so much. She was beautiful and no longer had the long brown hair they shared as they grew up, but now had short, wavy, blonde hair, which Calypso thought suited her very well. Calypso hadn't talked to her sister in person since she left for The Sing Off, but she has been keeping an eye on her to make sure she was safe.
Soon enough, the concert had ended and Pentatonix was heading offstage. She waited until all the fans had filed out before jumping off the railing and gliding to the ground, her wings spread out in order to guide her to the ground. Calypso landed lightly on her feet but sensed someone behind her. She spun around only to be faced with her shocked sister. What was she still doing here?
"Calypso?" Kirstie asked, a look of shock and disbelief at seeing her sister for the first time in years.
"Hello Kirstie." Calypso greeted her sister, a soft smile on her face.
"What are you doing here?" Kirstie asked her in a shocked and amazed tone.
"I came to hear you sing. Question is, what are you doing here at such a late hour? Shouldn't you be on the road or back at your hotel by now?" Calypso asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I forgot something." Kirstie replied.
"Have you got it yet?" Calypso asked.
"Yeah, I have. Why haven't you come to visit me? The last time I saw you in person was the day I left for The Sing Off." Kirstie asked. Calypso could hear the curiosity and hurt in her sister's voice, and even see it etched on her face.
"I was always there, watching over you. I just made it so that no one saw me. For example, I was watching you all tonight but I was sitting on the railings on the ceiling so I went unnoticed. I couldn't risk exposure." Calypso replied, pointing up.
"Please would you at least come and meet my band?" Kirstie begged.
"You know why I can't Kirst." Calypso said sadly, sadness clear in her eyes and on her face.
"Please Cally? None of them will judge you or anything and they'll keep it quiet if you tell them to. I don't like hiding you from them. You're too important to me and they are like my second family. Please?" Kirstie begged, using the childhood nickname that she gave Calypso. She was nearly in tears at this point. Calypso sighed.
"As long as they can keep my secret, alright." Calypso replied, finally giving in. She squealed and clapped her hands, a huge smile on her face.
"Thank you so much! I can't wait to introduce you to my bandmates!"
"They do seem awesome from what I have seen." Calypso said, a smile on her face. "We walking or flying?" She asked, smirking. Kirstie raised her eyebrows.
"We're walking for the moment Cally." Kirstie scolded. Calypso chuckled. "You'll have to take me flying at some point though. You know how much I love it." She added.
"I wouldn't expect anything less. Are there any fans outside?" Calypso asked, slightly nervous. Kirstie smiled at her.
"I have a way we can get out without being seen. But to answer your question, for the most part, they are gone." Kirstie told her. "You might want to make your wings invisible just in case though."
"What are we doing?" Calypso asked as they stopped at the back door. Kirstie smirked before getting her phone out and calling someone.
"Hey Mitchie! Yeah, can you tell Genevieve to bring the bus around the back away from all the remaining fans? I have someone special for you guys to meet but she can't be seen......you'll see why when you meet her......ok. Thanks. I'll see you soon. Call me when you're parked." Kirstie then hung up.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Calypso asked nervously.
"Don't worry Cally, they'll love you. I promise." Kirstie replied.
*Time Skip to getting on the bus*
Kirstie walked onto the bus, Calypso trailing behind her. To be safe, Calypso turned her wings invisible until she was on the bus. Thankfully there were no fans or paparazzi around (which was slightly strange) so they were safe for now. Once they were on the bus, a short, skinny, dark brown haired boy with a very long side fringe, who she recognized as Mitch, walked over to Kirstie. He then froze when he saw Calypso. She knew why. He was faced with a clone of Kirstie but with black hair and huge black angel wings. Who wouldn't freak out?
"Oh, Mitch, this is my twin sister, Calypso. Calypso, this is Mitch." Kirstie introduced her as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Mitch shook his head, bringing himself out of his trance.
"Nice to meet you Calypso." He said, a smile on his face.
"Nice to meet you too Mitch." Calypso replied. His smile then turned into a frown as he turned to Kirstie.
"How come I never met her Kirstie? You, Scott, and I grew up together. Why didn't you tell us?" He asked, hurt in his tone.
"It's my fault about that Mitch. Don't blame Kirstie. I didn't want to be seen or known by anyone because of my wings, so I hid. I was afraid of what would happen if anyone found out about my wings." Calypso said, defending Kirstie. Mitch sighed but nodded.
"That's understandable." He replied. Before any of them could say anything else, we heard a deep voice coming from the back.
"Mitch? Kirstie? What's taking so long?"
"We should probably go meet the others." Mitch said, a smile on his face. The three of them nodded and headed in the direction the voice had come from. Once she got to where the others were, she noticed that there were three other boys and a girl. The other members of Pentatonix and what she presumed to be Avi's sister, Esther. Mitch went to sit down next to Scott. But Kirstie and Calypso stood at door to the bunks and looked shocked. Calypso's wings weren't showing yet because they were hidden by the doorway so she guessed that the shock came from the fact that Kirstie was standing next to a clone of her with black hair.
"Guys, this is my twin sister, Calypso." Kirstie introduced Calypso. Calypso smiled and waved.
"Why'd you never tell us?" Scott asked, hurt present on his face, just like Mitch had had just minutes before.
"Well..." Kirstie said, looking at Calypso with a 'show them' look on her face. Calypso stepped forward, revealing her large black angel wings. Their eyes grew even wider at this.
"I told Mitch this earlier, but it's my fault that you didn't know. I didn't want to be seen or known by anyone because of my wings, so I hid. I was afraid of what would happen if anyone found out about my wings." Calypso explained. Kevin got up and walked over to her slowly.
"May I touch them?" He asked softly. Calypso smiled and nodded. Kevin cautiously put a hand on her left wing.
"They're so soft." Kevin said in a soft voice, stroking the dark feathers on Calypso's wings. Calypso smiled at this.
"They're powerful too. Once we get back to my place, I can take each of you for a quick flight if you like." Calypso offered. All of them smiled and nodded their heads. Kirstie looked slightly sad. Calypso noticed this.
"Kirstie? What's wrong baby?" She asked.
"I wanted you to stay longer." Kirstie replied.
"I don't know. It is hard to keep hidden even when I am following you. You should know better than anyone why I don't want anyone knowing about my wings." Calypso replied, looking nervous.
"I know. But will you at least come to some of our shows?" Kirstie begged. Calypso smiled.
"I do. I am almost always there. Hidden, but there none the less." Calypso replied, the smile still on her face. Kirstie immediately returned that smile, along with all the other members. "I can trust y'all with my secret right?" Calypso confirmed. She already knew Kirstie would, but she had to make sure about the others. All the boys and Esther nodded at Calypso's question and there was a chorus of 'yes's. She smiled at this.

A/N: Here is the first chapter of my new Pentatonix story. What do you think? I like it so far (and I have a little bit more written), but we'll see how it goes reader-wise. Please comment and let me know whether I should continue this or not.
Don't worry, I will be continuing with Lost and Found as well, but I came up with this idea a while ago and I don't know if it is good or not.
I have also decided to write it in a different way. I am writing the entire thing in third person (NO POV), so we will see how that goes.
Thank you munchkins
