After the accident dad was on life support for six days before the doctors turned it off. They turned it off because he was developing pneumonia. This was because he became a quadriplegic from the fall and couldn't cough. From his shoulders down he was paralysed.
We spent a lot of time with him while he was in hospital. I remember holding his hand even though he couldn't feel it. I remember him with his tubes in his mouth and him mouthing 'I love you'.
What we though that was going to happen after the accident was that he was going to be in a halo or in a wheel chair, but we never thought we would loose him. On the second day (the day after the accident) we where told that we would loose him. I've never been so scared in my life.
